Hi Shiva! Thanks for watching and good luck with your CSCP. Let me know if there are questions you have about the CSCP or video topic suggestions. If I dont know the answer, I will find it for you.
I am an HR but want to switch my career to supply chain. I have interest in the field and see long term growth & success going down this path. My friend recommended CSCP course as a beginner from ASCM. Can you please guide if I am making a right move in my career? I want to be successful in an industry which doesn't get impacted by recession & current layoffs happening in market. I am scared that what if being a 30 year old I spend 2 years in this and eventually won't earn anything out of it? I am based out of Toronto and honestly I have no leads or references in the industry to go after.
I think I will work on trying to be a freight broker or freight agent, before I even think of this next level. I think sometimes being a foot soldier, will then give you a better idea of how things above you work. I've been a driver for decades, and now that older, I'm really looking more for a out of the truck, out of the warehouse type of job, and freight brokering more helps me accomplish that. When younger, sure, working for large corporation, rising up, cool... But now that older, nah, I'd rather make a living from home, brokering freight, but to each their own.
Thanks for this video! I am looking to learn more about Inventory and Planning Management within Distribution and can't find any other courses/certification other than APICS.
Hi @uncannync. Thanks for watching. I will highlight this topic in an upcoming video. I'll detail certifications for supply chain professional beyond ASCM's APICs certifications.

What certifications should I put together to get a supply chain job that will pay me at least 70k starting. Any help would be great Thanks and nice video.

Hi Riham! Thanks for watching! Are you looking for a better job related to shipping or something else in logistics? If so, the CLTD is a great choice. I would encourage you to pursue your CLTD for the knowledge you will gain to help make better decisions for your team and company, rather than for your CV. You will get the most impact and value from the experience of studying and the certification if you approach it that way.
You are very welcome. Thanks for taking the time to leave feedback. Let me know if there is a topic you wold like to see covered that would be helpful to you.

Can you pls advise how long it took between studying and taking the exam? when did you feel you were ready to take the exam?
Hi lala3aby. Thanks for watching and leaving feedback. I took the exam early May after studying for 4 months. I felt I was ready to take the exam after covering all topics from the CLTD Exam Content Manual. Let me know if there is a topic you would like to see covered that would be helpful.
Hi Gregg Lira. There are several resources I can recommend, depending on the certification you are interested in. Which exam would you be studying for?
The best one for you at this point in your career depends on what you want to do with the certification. If you are uncertain of what you want to do next, but certain you want to get certified, I would suggest the CSCP. The CSCP will give you a breadth of knowledge about global supply chains. The CPIM and CLTD will give a more focused depth of knowledge on specific supply chain topics. Getting the CSCP would cast a wide net to begin with. Later, if you are interested, you could niche down and get your CPIM and/or CLTD.
Hi @zionpremkumar8178. Thanks for watching. You start by purchasing study materials and the exam. You can purchase the exam and learning system at apics.org. I created my latest video to walk you through the process. ua-cam.com/video/T_XNK7Qa9KA/v-deo.html
Hi Arthur. Thanks for watching my video. I would suggest buying used copies of the books in the CLTD Exam Content Manual bibliography or renting copies of those books to save on the costs of study materials.
Hi, I have been working since three years as import and logistics officer in a trading company. I want to excel into my career. Keeping in mind my experience, what do you suggest me to do CLTD or CSCP..? After how long you started getting the benefits of these certifications and to what extent?
Hi Muhammad Aman. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Your logistics background makes me inclined to suggest the CLTD. However, what you want to do next in your career is a bigger factor in selecting the right certification than what you have done in the past. The immediate benefits of preparing for and passing the certification exams is the knowledge you gain. That knowledge can begin adding value to you, your role and your company right away. An APICS certification can also play a part in a job change, promotion, increased salary and similar benefits. But these are a result of the additional knowledge and value you bring that compliments your education and experience.
Thanks so much for the kind words and encouragement Muhammad Aman! Please let me know if you have any other questions or suggestions for upcoming video topics. Let me know which certification you choose and what resources you are using to prepare. Happy studying!

Hi Ma'm, I am recent graduate in industrial engineering. I don't have any experience. I am confused between CSCP AND CPIM certification. Will you please guide me through this conundrum and tell me which will be more suited for me
Hi Jaydeep! Thanks for watching and commenting. The decision of which is right for you is best driven by what you want to do and get out of being certified. For example, I chose CLTD because I wanted to be a leader in a logistics focused organization. CSCP and CPIM did not best align with that goal. What is your short-term goal for your supply chain career? Do you want to get experience in a few different areas, and possible lead a team with a broad supply chain focus? Or, do you want to focus on something more specific and get depth of experience in an area like materials management or manufacturing operations? The first scenario would be a great fit for CSCP; the second for CPIM. Also, many people get more than one certification. I have my CLTD, but I am also halfway through with my CPIM as a compliment based on the value I want to bring to my company and clients.
Hi Danielle. Thank you for your video. I am almost done with my MS in Industrial Engineering and certificate in Supply Chain Engineering from my state’s tech school. The only experience I have is from my chemical sourcing specialist job that I have been in for 5 months now. Which certification do you recommend for a sourcing specialist or should I not pursue one since I am getting a master’s degree?
Hi Purplecloud U! Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. What would you like to do with your Industrial Engineering degree? Do you have an ideal role in mind? That will help me to answer your question.
The CSCP is worth considering, although certification specific to sourcing or quality assurance may be more useful. If it were me, I would start working in one of those two areas, then get a feel for which certification or other professional development opportunity is best for your near to mid-term career goals.
Thanks for your input. I am guaging that the CSCP may not be necessary for me. I talked to some people in my sourcing department who either have or pursued one of the APICS certification and they thought my masters was better and that the certifications covered broad topics.
I intend to get the GOA (God of All) certification. I am already well experienced in the field and it is obvious I have the highest amount of raw talent possible in regards to everything it is possible to have talent in. It quite simply is not possible to be better than me or even as good as me at anything. None of you can even get close to getting close to getting close to getting close to being even a billionth as good as me at literally anything. It literally violates the laws of physics and beyond that I wrote for this simulation you all call a universe that is running on the spare processing power of my computerized bidet. So I might as well just get it documented.

You will get the most impact and value from the experience of studying and the certification if you approach it that way.
@@End2EndSupplyChain thank you danielle .

Supply Chain Exams f
I do not have a college degree. I've been working in the shipping and warehouse field for years. I'm looking to get my certification. Which one should I pursue? Thanks
Probably the CLTD because that's more involved with transportation and distribution.
I am looking into the CLTD, I've been in Logistics for 10 yrs, without a degree I noticed my resume gets noticed but the pay is not as good as it would be with certification/degree.
@@End2EndSupplyChain Is there a book or website to visit for the study part?
Hi Gregg Lira. There are several resources I can recommend, depending on the certification you are interested in. Which exam would you be studying for?
@@End2EndSupplyChain Not sure which one you think is best to get first?
The best one for you at this point in your career depends on what you want to do with the certification. If you are uncertain of what you want to do next, but certain you want to get certified, I would suggest the CSCP. The CSCP will give you a breadth of knowledge about global supply chains. The CPIM and CLTD will give a more focused depth of knowledge on specific supply chain topics. Getting the CSCP would cast a wide net to begin with. Later, if you are interested, you could niche down and get your CPIM and/or CLTD.
Who get CSCP certificate?
How shall i start for CSCP certification
Check your local community college certification catalog.
Hi @zionpremkumar8178. Thanks for watching. You start by purchasing study materials and the exam. You can purchase the exam and learning system at apics.org. I created my latest video to walk you through the process. ua-cam.com/video/T_XNK7Qa9KA/v-deo.html
Is APICS testing still open during COVID-19?
Yes, online proctored exams.
Looking to buy study materials for the CLTD... Anyone selling it or know where i can go to buy them. not the apics site, its too expensive.
Hi Arthur. Thanks for watching my video. I would suggest buying used copies of the books in the CLTD Exam Content Manual bibliography or renting copies of those books to save on the costs of study materials.
where can we rent or buy from these material
The pass mark is 300, but what's the max score?
350.
@@End2EndSupplyChain Thanks for your advise and making things further cleared😃 You doing a great work.,👍
Thanks so much for the kind words and encouragement Muhammad Aman! Please let me know if you have any other questions or suggestions for upcoming video topics. Let me know which certification you choose and what resources you are using to prepare. Happy studying!
Hi.....hi where can I get logistics job
Hi Mam... I have completed supply chain management program(post graduation certificate) after Bachelor of science. I am a new starter in supply chain field. Please help me in choosing which certification should I go to get job.
Nah. She is a dude. He/She!
Hello,
I have a MBA in supply chain management. My bachelor's is totally different from my supply chain certificate. I want to do all three certificates but have very little work experience in supply chain management. Can you please let me know what would be the best way to take this certification?
Situ A kaha se KiYA MBA ??
Are you available to talk? Still between ISM and ASCM…CPIM is expensive…
Hi @mercandog507. All the certifications are in investment, but cost can be a factor in deciding. What's your current job and what job are you hoping to get after your certification? Thanks for watching!
@@End2EndSupplyChain Hi. I’ve had the ISM CPSM study materials and stuff for almost 8 months but barely scraped the surface due to my mba/full time employee schedule. I’m a chemical operator/compounder, hoping to become a purchasing manager (and grow) for one of these chemical manufacturers or pharma producers.
Thanks for the vid.
Hi thank you so much for this information. would you please guide me? I have master degree in commerce from Indian university and have no work experience....do you think it's good for me to pursue any of these course?
HI @shammipatel2020 Thanks for watching! Do you have work experience yet? If so, what type and what do you want your next role to be? That will help me provide advice.

Thank you so much Ma'm. This clears a lot of things for me and helps me get a clear perspective. Really appreciate this.
You're so welcome! Thank you for watching and for leaving a comment. Let me know if there are other videos you would like to see about APICS exams.
Hi Danielle. I would like to stay in sourcing or go into quality assurance.
Rabada???
I intend to get the GOA (God of All) certification. I am already well experienced in the field and it is obvious I have the highest amount of raw talent possible in regards to everything it is possible to have talent in. It quite simply is not possible to be better than me or even as good as me at anything. None of you can even get close to getting close to getting close to getting close to being even a billionth as good as me at literally anything. It literally violates the laws of physics and beyond that I wrote for this simulation you all call a universe that is running on the spare processing power of my computerized bidet. So I might as well just get it documented.
What the fish is this ? You gone nuts dude 🧐
