I am amused that both my nose and eyeballs have been attacked this morning by this ink 😂 Its honestly not a colour I would have looked twice at, much too fluorescent, but it is fun, and unlike anything we've gotten from the calander yet, so now that the smell has dissipated and my eyes adjusted, I can say it's been fun 😅
It smells like soap to me but the color is unexpected and fun. Winter where I live is citrus season. I’ll send my friends in snowy places mail art using this color.
I think the color is beautiful. It's definitely unique in my collection. I smelled it in the bottle and I find it pleasant despite my sensitivity to scents. I think you smelled it more because you were using a dip pen. I doubt you'd notice the scent much if at all if it was in a pen. Sorry you didn't love this one.
I know I am in the minority here but I kinda like it. The colour looks good and the smell is nice (imo). My only concerns are how scented inks hold up on paper (too wet, feathering, etc.) and how the ink will hold up over time (will it go 'rotten' after sitting a few years?).
This ink looks super juicy... and while I love a wet ink, I think this is definitely one of those inks that is a miss for me. When I saw the name I hoped for a deep dark pink, but I guess that would have been too close to Forest Gateau.
Your intuition was spot on. This is by far the worst ink in the calendar. On TRP it feathered so bad for me. It's too neon to write with for me. I tried mixing this with other inks (once mixed, I didn't smell it anymore) and that is basically all I will use it for. It surprised me that it didn't feather for you.
I quite like the smell, although I wish they didn't include two sweet scents. A spice, something herbal, something grassy - there are so many options beside fruity scents. The ink feathers horribly for me, which I'm a little sad about as I was really impressed with how well Forest Gateau behaved so I thought maybe they finally cracked the code to a well-behaved scented ink haha
I didn't get fruit cups, it reminded me of the dolls you could get in the seventies and early eighties that smelled like this.. it's an incredibly fake fruit smell. Not going to try it since my pen still smells like cherries from the other ink, which I liked! Lol
For me this was the very worst ink in the calendar, as someone who doesn’t like perfumes, strong smelling flowers or the scent of the vast majority of artificial flavoring, this one made me feel sick right away. Since none of my friends are into fountain pens I just threw it away. And honestly, it actually felt a little liberating to decide that I didn’t HAVE to keep and store it just because it’s a fountain pen ink and I generally love inks. This one just wasn’t for me, and that’s alright; I absolutely love the vast majority of this invent’s colors :)
I have really been loving your daily reviews by the way! I spoiled myself and swatched all the colors as soon as it arrived and it is a lot of fun to revisit one color a day along with you :) (and every day I’m more grateful that I didn’t go for the color verse one)
It‘s to bright for me. I simply don‘t enjoy to read such bright inks, so I guess I will not use it. The smell reminds me of the bath bombs my daughter uses. So of cause she liked this sweet smell. 😊
I really hated this one. Neon orange like a bad highlighter. And I just dont understand scented inks. That's two super bright highlighter inks so far that I wish Diamine would have just kept.

Who are scented inks for?? Who asked for them?? 😅😅😅
lol, yeah it is a bit odd! 😅

Just wait until you have a cold and you can't smell it.

Scented is a no for me. It isn't a bad orange, and so many are dry to write with so bummer that the scent sounds overpowering. 😕
I don't find the scent overpowering and I'm very sensitive to scent and scents trigger migraines. I find it kind of pleasant actually

I didn’t mind the color, but the scent made me nauseous. I absolutely despise the scented inks.
I was not a fan on this one at all.
Eww it was so stinky, I don't like scented inks!!
