I actually thought that 7 Seconds sounded more convincing during their "U2" phase (Kev's voice was always too wimpy for hardcore) -- saw them face down a hostile crowd opening for Cro-Mags and GBH in '86 with grit and humor. And no band I've seen (and I've seen TONS since the mid-'80s) brought the crowd into their performance more than 7 Seconds, and made us feel like *we* elevated their game. They put on some of the best shows I saw at The Anthrax (Norwalk, CT), and that's saying something! Good to see Kev seems to be doing well.
Never change, Kevin Seconds. You have been and always will be awesome.
This is my favorite thing on UA-cam today. \m/
Glad I saw 7Seconds perform in Portland. Good shit. Still one of my favorite hardcore records.
And people say punk was dead by '85. Pffft...
The Crew is still, to this day, one of my favorite records ever.
7 Seconds = the greatest ever.
Woke in 2010=good, conscious
Woke in 2022=😭
Kev is a national treasure
