girl I just love your recipes. unfortunately I spent lots of money ordering African foods from restaurants and eating out alot. one day I happen to see some very nasty habit in one of the best African joints and that was a wrap for me. I stopped eating from out and start struggling .

The video you commented on was missing a part so I had to delete it and put in the missing footage then upload again. Thanks so much to one of you who alerted me about the missing one. At 7:30 it looks like greens. I think the term you are looking for in English would be stew. Stews are less liquid but still moist and are full of chunks. Can be chunks of meat or large chunks of veggies. But that looked delicious!

ako teclaire the baking soda helps the eru looks greener. I used dried eru here and you can see that it looks green. However, if your dried eru is very brown I doubt it it will become very green. Hope this helps.

I see similarity in Jamaican food and African dishes but I know our culture is a culmination of all the lifestyles of Jamaican ancestors from Europe, China, India and Africa. Wish I could find my tribe and really learn about my African roots. Sigh.

Precious it baffles me when you said in your video that Ero as it is called in Cameroon is only called ogazi in Nigeria. Only the Ibos calls it ogazi in Nigeria. The EFIKS ( and the entire CROSS RIVER STATE OF NIGERIA) AND IBIBIOS in Nigeria calls it AFANG. Surely you know that. The Efiks and The Ibibios consume more Ero than the Ibos hence the reason why I am so surprised and baffled when you said that in Nigeria ero is only called ogazi. Infact Ero ( AFANG ) prepared with water leaf is predominantly Efik and Ibibios dish. It’s also so surprising that a beautiful Cameroonian woman. cooking Ero with water leaf doesn’t know that the Ibos do not cook Ero with water leaf. It will be a wise thing to do if you can please produce a new video on how to cook Ero/water leaf and correct the errors you had in your other video on how to cook Ero/water leaf .
    Thank you Precious.

Precious I think I have had this before, but agussi was in the spinach, can you do a spinach and agussi with the fufu recipe please, or is this 🤔 the same recipe just without the agussi?

No, that's another recipe. I will keep that in mind.

Can you use frozen spinach. I'm short of time cooking today. Don't want to go through fresh spinach lol

Hi, unfortunately crayfish is so crucial in this recipe. My mom always says it is the key ingredient. Can you find dried shrimp, though? That will be the closest thing to crayfish. Also use shrimp seasoning cubes (Maggi) if you can so the flavor is enhanced. Hope this helps.

I think it's safe to call Eru a salad. No joke.

Is there a substitute for eru/ukazi leaf in America?
