I need someone’s help I went fishing tonight and really struggled to cast further out. I could only get it a couple metres out. When I made it heavier to cast further the float was just sinking? Pleaaaase advise thank you

Hello there, could be a couple of factors, is the line lay on the spool nice and tidy and fairly tight, how long is your float rod, and what is the strain of the line? 😀

@@cliveeariss880 I sorted it! Took it to the shop and it turns out I had 12lb line on my reel lol changed it too 7lb and put a 7bb float on and I’ve been catching fish. All sorted thanks for getting back to me

Good morning. Whenever I cast my feeder, the line that i am holding with my finger twangs. It feels and sounds wrong. Float casting is fine. What am I dong wrong? Thanks.

      Hello buddy.
Now this is going to be very difficult if you have been using the technique I know you are using all your angling career but I know that you are opening the bailarm and holding the line around your finger >>>>am I correct? ¿
Now if you are proper BIG carp fishing and using a finger stool I understand that you have to.
With all types of feeder fishing on commercial fisheries chucking from a few metres to, ,,,,let's just say 60 metres you can open the bailarm and put your middle finger on the spool and the line will sit against it. Your not holding the line which is causing the twang as you have to let the line go at such a exact time but by putting your middle finger on the spool and then opening the bailarm it's a very short movement to let it go and your finger is (when needed for bomb and waggler fishing) already in position to feather the line.
Hope this helps, tight lines 👍
