I am a high school PE teacher, and many of my students have been complaining of low back pain, often caused by tight hips from sitting during remote learning. This video is perfect for me to share and do with them, exactly what I have been looking for. Especially helpful to have a male yoga instructor to reach more of my students.
I started practicing with you a few months ago. I had to take a month of because of eye surgery but I returned and can now do the cross legged forward fold on both sides. I am still struggling with the pigeon pose where you place the ankle over the knee. I think I'll have to leave that until I feel more confident. My hips have definitely opened up more than ever. I will continue with your different classes. Many thanks.
Namaste, I am grateful that the universal, all embracing and ancient wisdom of India and Hinduism ( yoga and meditation) is being appreciated and adapted all over the world now...
What an awesome practice, thank you! Do you have any advice for someone having a lot of trouble with the dragonfly pose? Having my legs even slightly wide is already difficult, and then doing the forward fold with it is almost impossible. I can just barely bend my back and my head forward a bit, but that's it.
Thanks for that teaching on the middle way. It was right on target for me. Particularly in my running practice. For a long time I've felt that if I'm not piling on the miles, I'm not doing it right. A bit of imposter syndrome I guess. But, that was hard on my body and starting to make running pretty unpleasant. I've been working on being ok with running less and including other activities like walking and yoga. It's making a big difference. I was out in the desert running this weekend and it felt joyful again.
Superb instruction, Flo. Mentioning fringe things like thoughts and stories that come to mind, along with encouraging us to use this practice to serve us where we are now - it is a rare instructor who goes into these things but they are effective to say and make for a better class. Thank you 🙏🏼
Exactly what I needed this morning, thank you! Did a strong practice yesterday and bjj the day before -so my body is grateful for this little recovery🙏
I like the slowness. I can turn the volume up so I can barely hear, and I can hear myself breathing. My body and mind are fighting each other and I cannot control things. I need to get to your level
My hamstrings and IT band are very tight from lots of cycling, so this was great - thanks so much! Could you recommend any more of your videos that would help target these :)? Have a wonderful day.
I am in the Intermediate Cal finally and loving it. It's super challenging for me that I somet5imes need to drop back to beginner. The sequence of the workout and the timming of this hip stretch has been spot on for me! great job guys! I am so greatful to you both. I hope at some point I will earn myself to be a patron for the duration. in my life I require myself to earn everything and I am suprised how much you give me for nothing. TY💖
Very soothing flow ! I hadn't cushions handy so I grabbed a big plush instead, it did the job to support my head in firelog😉 And I totally agree with you : balance is essential. The older I get (43 in 3 months...), the more I need to add calming practices in my workout routine. My body seems to appreciate this !
Have you any suggestions for asanas/techniques to increase flexibility at my waist? I would love to work towards getting my elbows on the earth in a wide-legged forward fold. My hips are quite open so would love the waist to follow! Love the channel, both Bre and Flo's videos!
Hi Flo, i havent been able to sit in the forward fold comfortably. My lower back starts to hurt after about 1-2 Minutes. It feels like my pelvis doesnt tilt forwards. Not getting a lot of range of motion. Do you have any advise for this problem? Maybe a different exercise to start?
Hey guys 🙏 I just completed day 1 on Embark and I'm feeling awesome . I do some body weight exercises at home so it is okay that if I do them after doing yoga or should I do it some other time of the day or should I do it before doing yoga ? I am really thankful to you guys 💟 hoping sometimes I will meet you both 🙏
when i opened my hips to do the dragonfly i couldnt even stand up straight much less lean forward haha T_T super helpful video though, just subscribed!!
I can't even get myself into half of these poses...my hips must either be too tight for this kind of yoga and/or my anatomy just doesn't allow it. Definitely not for me at this stage of my journey : /
Great practice. 1. How do you open your legs soo wide¿? I've been doing yoga for years, and with you since August, but I can barely open my legs 80ish degrees. Straddle forward fold. 2. How did you get in some poses without moving your male organs? E.g. belly poses and full cow face.
I'm here with you on the straddle forward fold. Been doing Yoga for 2 years and almost no difference form the time I started. Just the way it is, maybe it takes more time, maybe my bones don't allow it. I'm just gonna keep exploring what is possible and see what happens. That second question was really funny and highly practical.

Looking forward for practice with you guys.
This seems a little challenging for a beginner, but I will modify and carry on. Thanks
Doing this high is a near psychadelic experience

Do it before.... and after. :)
Will doing this video daily help improve my splits?
To know where the middle is you need to sometimes touch the extremes :) I like that
Thank you🙏🤖🙏
Hey, Tuthmos!
That forward fold got me good, my hamstrings and calves were burning
❤ Thank You for the Practice earlier, it helped myself get back to sleep. 💒🙏 Namaste. Practice again later, busy day. ❤😍✨🌻🐕🦺🐾🦋⛪️🇬🇧💒🙏🙏 06.35am.

Would this practice be advantageous for my extremely tight hamstrings?
we can imagine so. try it for 1-2 months and see how you feel
Nothing great flow...as usual ur the best..nothing to say more.😁😊😊😊😊😇😇😇😇
Couldn’t do these at all unfortunately. I must be really injured.
Om Shanti

I tried to sign up for patreon - it asked me for my online banking PIN. Is the usual procedure?
No that should not be like this. Contact patreon support for technical issues 🙏🏽
@@BreatheAndFlow Thank you, I will try and get in tough with them. It seemed a bit odd to me... :)
Great practice.

1) focus on the sensations in your body and not on how wide the legs go apart.
2) i wear boxer briefs that keep everything in place
