    Not a cheap bastard, you've got a kid and 2 foxbodies to build... it's called being smart Luis 😂 Happy Father's day to you and all the Dad's watching. Glad to see a video update on the coupe. If you visit Tony's mustangs and ford's UA-cam channel he just posted a video that BF GOODRICH now warranties radial TA tires when the letters turn brown.. you can get 4 new free tires bud!

      I like the way you put it there, not cheap, but smart 😂! The tires that came on these wheels have definitely seen better days, I think the letters are still white but the threads are dry rotted, so Ill have to replace them! Luckily that’s not a problem since I have to find wheels that fit 😂

      @@MrBlitzkrieg1987 Are you 100% on using the sn95 prop. Valve spring? I’ve read to use the fox prop. Spring with the sn95 fitting?!

  • @Gear1993Head
    @Gear1993Head 7 місяців тому +1

    Been doing this for years... You dont have to swap springs. All that spring does is hold pressure on the shuttle valve. The shuttle valves only purpose is to cut off pressure to a line if it blows in the front of car. So if you blow a front brake line, that spring will push valve over and keep rear brakes working without going dry. And the stock spring is more than adequate enough in fox prop valve.

    • @MrBlitzkrieg1987
      @MrBlitzkrieg1987  7 місяців тому

      Oh definitely, if anyone deserves credit for this mod its the Ford engineers, I learned this from someone else long ago, like Im sure you did, Im just passing on the knowledge. On that same note, it was the Ford engineers that swapped the spring on an otherwise identical proportioning valve… so if they went through the trouble and since im running the exact same brake setup and it takes literally no effort to change it, Im going for it. Not doubting that you have made it work without the spring.

    Ok, but new brake lines with the correct fitting ends to adapt to the different threads are also available inexpensively. Could have just replaced the line OR just the one fitting itself if you would have had a flaring tool. Cause really never a good idea to work on brake lines without having some way to flare if, and when, a 30+ year old fitting is rusted to the line or the fitting is stuck. You'll need one eventually no matter what old car you work on.

    • @MrBlitzkrieg1987
      @MrBlitzkrieg1987  6 місяців тому

      Its definitely a good idea to replace the lines… I live in California so the brake lines here usually do not rust, but in either situation replacing them is good! 👍

    Really enjoyed the video thanks for the information, was wondering if there’s any reason you swapped the port and spring from the sn95 valve body to the fox valve body instead of just bolting the Sn95 one one, they looked identical in the video, does the Sn95 valve not bolt up directly or is it plummed different internally? Just curious because I don’t know how old my proportioning valve is and I’m thinking I might just buy the sn95 valve off Amazon and put the whole unit on the car.

    • @MrBlitzkrieg1987
      @MrBlitzkrieg1987  6 місяців тому

      Hi! Yea, you can simply bolt on the sn95 one instead, I just did it that way to show people who don’t have the complete proportioning valve, that you can add the fitting to the stock valve. Both valves are practically identical. Also sometimes unbolting the brake lines off the original valve is a real pain and it is easier to just add the fitting! But you can 💯 do it the way you are saying.

    • @MrBlitzkrieg1987
      @MrBlitzkrieg1987  10 місяців тому

      Hey, to be honest the springs look very similar with the exception of them being a different length… the reason I personally went with the sn95 is because I am also running the sn95 front calipers… the fitting and line that you are adding with this mod goes straight to driver side caliper so I wanted it to work exactly like it does on the sn95. I can’t guarantee that it will work the same with any other setup.

      @MrBlitzkrieg1987  10 місяців тому

      @@MM-fu4mb yes, I’ve used the sn95 spring several times before and it worked well, the person I first learned this from was the one who recommended the spring swap and I’ve been doing it this way ever since… but even if you made a mistake and used the wrong spring by accident, it’s not hard to go in there after and swap the spring, you can try both and see if it even makes a difference. Please let me know after you do in case you try both.

    • @MrBlitzkrieg1987

    Is this when using rear drums or swapping to disks?

    • @MrBlitzkrieg1987
      @MrBlitzkrieg1987  Рік тому +1

      You need to do this when you use a larger brake master cylinder from an SN95 or cobra, because those only have 2 ports! But yes people usually only replace the master cylinder when upgrading to rear disk brakes

      @@jasonb8346I’m sure you could use the larger two port Master Cylinder with rear drums, you may be able to do the same modification you saw here because the line that I added hooks up to the driver side caliper so it doesn’t change anything going towards the rear. In case you start getting too much brake pressure to the rear drums you can always gut the factory proportioning valve and install the adjustable ford racing one to regulate the fluid pressure going towards the drums.
