Our neighbors created a meal train for several families on our block who were dealing with sudden deaths, very sick family members going through a lot of treatments, etc. Every night dinner was planned and delivered; often including dessert, plus things for snacks or breakfast, and also offers to shuttle
kids, fetch family members from airport, etc. We stuck together and it was a great to support neighborhood.
According to some folks, a cardinal randomly visiting you is a symbol of a relative you've lost visiting you. I know you somewhat recently lost your sister, and I can't even imagine that, so it could be a consolation in that way. Otherwise, it's just that spring has finally sprung and your bird neighbors are finally comfortable enough to give you a chance to actually get to see them ❤ both are sweet and something to love, so you can take it either way you really prefer to take it, but i always try to look on the bright side, and i hope it's a symbol from your precious sister to say "I'm still with you and love you" ❤

If Wolfgang were placed in Kim’s camera range while she was cooking…we would never hear or see any of her cooking!!🤣😂

Red Cardinal is a loved one visiting from Heaven so they say … they always arrive at my house as a pair … I lost my daughter & my grandson a year apart so I choose to believe 🙏🏻😇😇
Dole actually sells little packs of the mini pineapple juice cans! I find mine at Publix and boy, do those little things come in handy! Never any wasted AND shelf stable 😊 Thank you for gracing us with more of your presence today, Kim!

This was a Friday night, almost midnight. She had liver cancer. I miss her so much, even now. What I wanted you to know is Saturday, I watched your video. It made me smile. I think that's the only time I smiled , probably for the next several weeks. So thank you. I generally watch all of your videos. You're amazing and loving, and also my favorite youtuber.
I just freeze the whole ginger root and just grate a little into the dish that calls for it straight out of the freezer and then throw it back in.

We have a summer haven that is right on the edge of woods and I love listening to the owls at night and early in the morning. I hoot right back at them and hootie carries on a conversation with me. Your property is beautiful, Kim. What an awesome place to raise a family
We are thankful for it every day! The owls are so fun to listen to having conversations with each other, I’ve never tried to chime in 😂 🦉
Dole makes the tiny ones in a 6 pack. You can find them in the juice isle usually by the single serve apple juices or juice boxes
1 - you already cook more than I have in my entire life.
2 - you do it while looking fabulous
3 - you do it without becoming completely frazzled and frustrated like I would
4 - you do it while filming yourself
5 - you do it while holding and breastfeeding a baby, and able to keep it out of frame?!

Hi Kim, one saying about a cardinal showing up is that someone that has passed away is stopping by to say hi or check up on you. Maybe they were saying thank you for being so nice to their relatives. It was sweet of you. I live in Ohio and one has been stopping by every year all year long off and on for the past 8 years since my Mom passed. Sometimes its a male and female that come and I think maybe it is both my parents. My Dad passed in 2000. Sending hugs, take care!
I think it's so sweet of you to make dinner for the bereaved family - and it's actually a really good way of helping them out, as everyday chores like cleaning, cooking etc. are often forgotten, neglected or just really hard to do when you're grieving 👍
I remember it was the very last thing on my mind- I didn’t eat much but my kids still needed to eat and I had zero motivation or mental capacity to cook for them. ♥️♥️ I always just do what I can and they told me it fed them for the weekend ♥️
I know what you mean Kim. In the span of 3 months I lost my dear grandmother and then my mom and dad. My parents died 2 days apart. Cancer for both. Then about 7 years ago I lost my sister to complications of diabetes. You just don’t feel like cooking.
@@jojoply Oh my goodness I’m so sorry Joy, I lost my sister, mom & dad in a span of 5 years & it’s still hard at times. I couldn’t imagine 2 days apart😢 what has helped me through this & I’m sure it has you too is that they’re no longer hurting 💜

I lost a dear cousin a few weeks back and would have loved a meal brought it. it was such an emotio few weeks and I had to keep on keep on keeping on with very little support.

When a red cardinal comes that means one of your loved ones in heaven is visiting. I have never seen one before and one morning I was waiting in my car for my husband and there was a little red cardinal right on the sidewalk beside my car. The next day it was there again! I live in an apartment and don’t have any land so to see this cardinal there was amazing to me.I feel it was definitely my mom ❤️❤️I know it will sound crazy to some people.
I freeze my ginger and then just grate it frozen! No need to peel and it works great.
Cardinals appear whenever angels are near ❤️

idk if your recipe mentioned this for the chimichurri sauce, but there’s supposed to be oil in it. you stream the oil into the food processor slowly while everything else is blending. it helps it emulsify and become more of a sauce as opposed to a paste. when i make flank steak with chimichirri sauce, i use half the sauce to marinate the steak and the other half i reserve for pouring on top of the cooked steak. it’s so incredibly good and fresh tasting!

Growing up we got told a cardinal is a sign from a loved one who has passed. They are stunning birds. Also the Environmental Professional (Endangered Species Consultant) in me feels the need to mention birds ranges are changing a bit with this season so you may just be a great habitat as we shift! Florida also has native cardinals that are just precious!
In our family, seeing a cardinal in your yard or near by...symbolizes that a lost loved one is watching over you...also is a symbol of good luck...

I made carnitas the other day and used the leftover liquid to make rice. It had so much flavor!!! I just took the meat out and then poured however much liquid I needed for my rice. So easy and a great way to not let that yummy liquid go to waste.
We just buy a can of chunk pineapple and drain the juice for these recipes. So you don’t buy a whole jar that doesn’t get used up. Then you have the fruit to use in a fruit salad
The actual pineapple is for plating 🤷🏻♀️ don’t ask meeeeeee lol

I was going to say the same thing. We dont have them here but I know a lot of USA people say they are visited by a red cardinal after loosing a loved one. Comes up a lot on psychic readings on TV, seem to be the common meaning of them!
I was told by my grandmother that if a red cardinal shows up it means that you are being watched over by someone that has passed away. I love seeing the cardinals.

You could take the pineapple juice and make into ice cubes (or popsicles) to save it for later, or add it to water or use it when making punch for a party. Just a suggestion. Love you Kim. I always look forward to hanging out with you.
Wolfgang is adorable, Kim! He reminds me so much of my oldest son Wesley. I could not put that baby down for the first eighteen months! All I could do with that child to keep him happy was bounce him on an exercise ball 😅 I was really skinny from all of that bouncing 😂😂 probably why my back still hurts today! He is seventeen now and still loves his mama! 😆 The Fussy Baby book by Dr. Sears was really helpful to me during that time. You’re such a great mama and cook! ❤
Red wine vinegar, parsley, garlic, oil… mix together all chopped up.. marinate chicken in this sauce. Then cook up on the grill… delicious! Smells wonderful and taste so nice. Be warned you need a whole head of garlic fresh diced. God bless ❤🙏

Kim, running the noodles under cold water after they are done cooking helps them not stick! And its easier to toss when you put them in with the veggies 😊

A red cardinal came to the window of my moms hospice room the day she passed ... it had to of been a loved one coming to watch over us & her when she passed ... ❤ love you

Cardinals represent a loved one who has past comes to visit you. My dad loved cardinals and he has passed and every year we have a cardinal nest in the same spot. I like to think it's him visiting me.

Just in case you need it, you could use a regular size plate. It’ll fit on top of your crockpot. I’ve done that in an necessity

Pineapple juice small quantity hack, two ideas check by the like juice boxes because I know they sells like six packs or eight packs of the small cans because bars use them for drinks sometimes. If you don’t see that, just get a small single serving size can of pineapple chunks and juice you can use the juice for your recipe and then have the pineapple left over but people can snack on that so it won’t go to waste.
Thanks for another great cooking inspirational video! By now I have made several of your dishes & they have been a success! Can’t wait to try these! I wanted to let you know that Publix & Target carry the small 6 pack of pineapple cans. They are 6oz each. Also in the Target freezer section, where the frozen veggies are, they have proportioned frozen crushed ginger cubes. They taste as good as fresh ginger. They also carry the garlic version. They are great quality & favor is just as if it were fresh!

I peel my ginger and freeze it whole..when I need some I just pull it out of the freezer and grate it into my recipes with my microplane. ❤

With the ginger... freeze it whole... and then use your Microplane... you don't even need to peel it.... the peel won't go through the Microplane, it just flakes off... I NEVER mince fresh ginger any more.... LOL.

They do make the individual cans. They usually come in a six pack. Sometimes you can find just one at the Mexican food market. Or I get a couple of cans of pineapple in 100% juice and then eat the pineapple 🤷🏻♀️

I found that you can keep fresh ginger in a jar with vinegar and it will keep for quite awhile!
