That 6 dollar knife is actually really good. That paper slicing action was pretty good too. You’re just used to 600 dollar knives. 440 isn’t a bad steel. When you don’t spend a fortune on knives then it’s pretty good, you just have to strop it every now and then. Worth it. Hell I have a spyderco para 3 in s30vn steel and sometimes I still carry my ozarktrail knife

As a guy who actually uses my knives every day and beat them hard, I actually want an Ozark trail knife, for 6 USD looks fantastic.
They are actually great for the price, and you don’t have to feel bad if it falls out of your pocket and gets lost. I’ve been buying them as stocking stuffers for the men in my life for years now. Are they a collectors knife? Not at all. Are they worth the $5? Absolutely!!

I just happened to be in a Walmart this morning and saw it and picked it up. It’s most definitely a $6 knife. Not great but for 6 Buck I can’t complain to much.

Carrying the 15V Manix 2 and it's a workhorse, I've been packing/discarding all week for a big 630 move and it's been cutting zip ties/cardboard/plastic/staples etc without a mark on the edge and still shaves hair super easily.

Our WM keeps OT knives in a glass case where you can't even see them because they are behind the register next to the ammo. You get yelled at if you try too look at them. I'm not going there anymore.

there's not a single walmart in the city of los angeles. i drove all the way to bumferk Rosemead and they didn't have it either. i think i'll never find it.
Funny enough, I did the exact same thing so I was just so curious about the knife. I did find it at my 3rd Walmart. But they were actually in every Walmart but they have them in a standalone little kiosk with multi tools Andrew bitz ECT. So you're never gonna find it in the regular section where all the other nights are it was in its own little bin in the outdoor area . Good luck hope that helps

Old timer knives are the only knife to Own! They staying sharp And The Are an All around knife. Gerber knives second,, Smith and Wesson knives fit in on That also. No other knives come close to these brand's, none.

It is a cheap knife. I liked it enough.
I went to 5 different WM stores in my area and finally found the Axis lock model and this one being discussed here. They are probably all gone by now though. So anyone who wants one will need to wait for next holiday season, and hope WM re-releases them. The specific knife shown here is actually a 2021 model, the 2022 version is red. I have better knives than these, but still I think these are OK for moderate-duty EDC. At $5.94 they let you demo and try out high end features (ball bearings, axis lock) before committing to something more $$. At least thats how I see it.
I got the ball bearing OT knife in 2021 and it's still a great $6 knife.
@@mikesal8088 Yep... i have both green and red versions. Great EDC options for not much $$. For this year (late 2023) the ball bearing pivot is available only in a 3 knife gift set. Blue, gray and black plastic handle. The black one has the ball bearing pivot.
I literally saw this knife at Walmart today and almost put it in the kart. Then I remembered that I purchased the green axis lock knife along with the black one you pointed out in this video at Walmart last week.

Le 💩💩 knife 😂 the old timer sharp finger is actually a good fixed blade I seen in the vid l unmistakable shape and popular for decades now . They have a $100 version but the og was cheap a f and I’ve seen formeds have them for a long long time for a cheaper priced fixed blade .
