- For this stage I did all the main thinning work with a small antler billet I swing in a freehand direct percussion fashion. I think it went pretty well all things considered. Sorry about the bad camera focus sometimes.
Thanks for watching. Cheers.

Very nice and instructive antler and hammerstone work. Great camera work too.
Thanks so much Flintknappingtips, I really appreciate it. I learned a lot from you over the years. Whenever I have the camera on autofocus it sometimes focuses on the ground too much, but then if I fix the focus I can't bring the piece up to the camera for the close shots, such a dilemma...
Hey! I'm first!
Fun watching you work.
Hey Jim, that was quick, welcome!
Another great one. Your debitage looks like an archaeological site...
Most archaeological sites are cleaner than this!
I guess I'll have to create a pile of chips at my new home. My old place has a pile about as large as yours. Murpheys law certainly applies to knapping. If something can go wrong, it will.
Oh for sure, a home isn't complete without at least one big pile of flakes! That pile was just about a year's worth, and I don't knap as much as I used to. I have buckets of flakes all over the place, can't seem to let them go lol.
Wow 😲😳 . what ya think 🧐🤔 ax knife .???
I turned this one into a Dalton style dart point.
