Were these floors actual hardwood or engineered hardwood? Did you sand the squares where you painted so they would hold the paint better? Thanks for the tip about marking each square not be painted! I will definitely do the same. Love the floors!

It was a hardwood floor. I cleaned and painted over the top of the existing finish with floor paint from Lowe's that the client purchased. It's a time consuming project but has such a wow factor!

The client purchased a floor paint from Lowe's. It didn't need a topcoat. They are happy with the way it is holding up! It's such an impactful project. Let me know if you decide to tacklet it yourself!
