What I found very enjoyable during my rides is imagining that snowboarding is actually a dance. You learn the steps, you repeat them following the same pattern until it becomes second nature. Your body starts to know when to relax and when to get tensed. Also if you're carving rhythmically, you're less likely to clash with other people on a crowded slope.
Yes lol. I literally became a new level of snowboarder when I did a trip to a big Vermont mountain after boarding for years on a small New York mountain
2 months away from my third year of snowboarding (which basically means I boarded for 12 days in the last 4 years :D), and this one should be the one where I manage to get down the red slope :D Fingers crossed! Also, great video, and the channel in general, really helped me before I started (and continues to do so)! Much love
Can you do one on foot steering? I need to be better at not turning my upper body to steer as that’s what beginners (like me) have got into a bad habit of doing
This has me excited for the start of the season!! Already started some pre season training exercises using the vids from ur off season playlist. And stoked to finally have bought my first board and use it this year. Can you give some thoughts on the Never Summer Proto Type 2 kev?
I recently found that the knock knee position is sooooo stable and comforting when going down the ski lift and when making the turns from toe to heel and heel to toe Can you verify if this is okay to do? I feel like when I’m carving, it’s knees toward the front of my board on the heelside carve and then knock knee to initiate the turn, then turn the back knee to the back of the board to do a toe side carve, then knock knee to initiate the turn, then turn the front knee toward the front to do another heelside
Hi! I took lessons at telluride (prolly too steep) but i had lots of trouble with buttering the back of the board finishing the turn. I am going to make some a adjustments to my foot position on the board to allow me to get lower this season, but any tips to help complete the carve? I'm 56, originally and still ski, but not at flexible as i used to be. Thx
Hey! If you’re tail slides out at the end of the carve, then your weight may be to forward toward your nose. As you get to the end of the carve try getting more weight toward your tail to keep the edge locked in. Hope this helps!
You're probably making a super common mistake when switching edge-to-edge. You have to finish the turn on the flat of your board before going to the opposite edge. If you are turning and go from toeside to heelside too quickly, you'll catch your heel edge
This video is about carving so probably not going to help you with beginner turns. Look for some videos on beginner turns from the likes of Tommie Bennet and Malcolm Moore as well as this channel of course.

First, find a resort that has a mellow trail that's THAT wide.

True! Not all resorts have this big wide run.
So basically don’t snowboard in Europe. Got it
Right here in pa in Pennsylvania u will never see that
I am learning snowboard with you. Had my first blue without falling off trying to perform turn and carves. Thank you mate.🙌🙏
Looks dreamin out there! Let’s gooo

Nice work!
Thanks! I learned snowboard from this channel as middle age father ❤
Same here 😊 Just met with Kevin and had couple run with him together at Stubai Glacier in Austria last weekend. He is such a great guy 🎉
Happy to hear that!

and keep the pressure on your board as centered as possible
Good tip!
Wow those are useful tips😮 can wait to try them😂

i dont get how ur toeside and not falling before you turn around? i almost
always catch the edge

dont focus on switching from edge to edge, just gently lean and dont be afraid to gain speed

Jackson Hole, not telluride.
