Who in the world gives these videos thumbs down? I don't even understand how you could not like this professional doing a great job. Why don't these people just go watch something else?
I often ask myself why I keep on watching these videos, but I realised they are just like a great piece of music, you just want to continue to appreciate it. Thanks Alex, you are indeed a maestro! 🍾❤️
Great save. Just wonder why the customer didn't have their supplier replace it. Arriving broken during shipping is usually a send-it-back event. But no matter. Another amazing fix!
Hm, alex didnt you forget to connect the top right pin with the board? I think it was connected at the beginning of your video 1:34 with a throughhole on the pcb. Maybe it doesnt have to be connected cause it worked fine after you fixed it. Thank you for the video, greets from austria
I thought I seen that too must be a open connection on the component the board completed it's post routine and powered on so that pin in question might be an open connection?
6:02 chip top right leg connected above to some hole 7:26 chip top right leg missing connection to same hole maybe nothing maybe something, who knows withou board view
Goodness, most of these comments are about an apparent missed solder joint. Am I one of the few that actually reads the existing comments first? Most notably the one where he had done so off camera? I feel like I'd be pretty frustrated if I had 20+ people pointing out I "missed something." Nice work, Alex.
People like exposure and involvement whether they knew what was going on or just read comments about the issue. The pinned comment is very hard to miss, yet you still see repetitive comments about the same issue. End of the day the device is fixed and all comment are welcome.
nice video, i was talking to the monitor the top pin ok the K72, the ripped traced!!!!! i guess it was corrected off camera since the board worked.... 😁
That's indicative of it overheating. Use MSI afterburner to adjust fan speeds, and HWinfo64 to check your GPU temps during your running tasks. Also cleaning out the fans and heatsinks, and replacing thermal paste can work wonders
have you ever ran the wire under and then put the chip on the board , just curious or is it better to leave it on top so others can see what work has been done?
It would currently look nicer. But I think he didnt want to risk it shorting to another pin. You also cant apply solder mask to it if it's under the chip, which could cause the copper wire to corrode over time.
Hi Alex, do you have the habit of testing repaired graphic card under the heavy load by running Furmark or other testing tools? From my experience there are some graphic cards which after the repair starts displaying the image but shutdown under the heavy load.
Sir, you didn't solder the riped trace to mother board (8.21) front right leg of k72 chip. Fan from India 😊😊
Yes already done. I lost that part just when I was applying solder mask.
I saw the same thing
I read this before watching, so was focus on that. YT should hide to comments so all will be a surprise
@@NorthridgeFix Was worried for a sec!
I notice the same..😅

Does not matter how it looks as long as it works. Good job.

Great card, I bought one at least 5 years ago and it's still working. Bought it at a time when videocards were difficult to find at fair prices too.
I always love your videos, because now I know how technology makes work like thermal cameras easier
Great job! With the graphics cards crisis in this period is very pleasant to see any of these to be working again.

HI from Uruguay.... You didn't solder a missing path to the board up right .
Excelent jobs.
Nice repair. Real art.
less effort than expected .. great pro job
That's what we call art work. For all that say the pin was not soldered. It didn't have to be as it links to one of the other pins. Chip was solid.
Nice work and rewiring, Thank you for another educational video.
was that top right attached to the board point?

Do you have a video where you repair a partially working gpu(problems such as li nes on screen or the pc crashing after some time of using the gpu)?
That's indicative of it overheating. Use MSI afterburner to adjust fan speeds, and HWinfo64 to check your GPU temps during your running tasks.
Also cleaning out the fans and heatsinks, and replacing thermal paste can work wonders

Another great job , thanks for the video
Well done. A nice video indeed!
Nice fix as always
Nice video. Not much to learn cos it’s to check the continuity and solder but thx for your time and posting vid
Another great fix 👍🏻
Thanks 4 sharing !!!
Let me say something coming from my personal experience. Most of the cases when I build for a client PC I send GPU in a separate box
Smartest thing to do it's easy to install so it's best that way. Only time it's unavoidable is in custom water cooled pc's
Exceptions are when GPU is very small like one slot GTX 750Ti or Radeon 1650x
Nice repair 👍
good work as always
Do u know when the MOSFET is removed, why the board is not turning on
because it works as a switch. imagine, if you remove the switch of room light, the lamb doesnt work.same issue
Nice work!
