Ian just want to say hi to you all and I really enjoy watching your videos. You never seem to upset when something doesn't go right. You either laugh at it or joke about it but you always getter done and right. God bless you all my friend
Man yur (as I call it), "By the Seat of yur Pants" aproach to all these builds is awesome. Remaining fluid & flexible & able to adapt around any obstacles.
Luv what yer doin' here. I was rootin' for a 2 wheel drive, but you're nailin' it with the 4x4. The lower the better, building a practical, usable, workable driver. Hecks yeah!
I love how you think it out and then put it into practice, overcoming any obsticals along the way. It makes it easy to follow your train of thought and see it all as it takes shape. Yet another great video.
Great show, I love those old panel trucks. I total a panel truck over 50 years ago. I was driving one were I worked, a guy was turning left on a 4 lane highway, no turn signal or brake lights. I came upon him and I slammed on the brakes and it went to the floor, a brake line broke and I rear ended the guys car. I was not sited by the police either thank goodness.
Magic fab work. Lowering the body to the frame doesn't change ground clearance, so you've lost nothing 4x4 wise. The truck looks right. Thanks Brent. 👍😎🕵🏾♂️🍺🎸🎵👽🥂
Excellent video Halfass Kustoms (Brent) :) 2002 Transfer case is vaccum and electronic with computer and older from 1995 or earlier are Vaccum also electronic but no computer control and if doing transfer on old make sure got fuse of Shifter for floor shifter plus Fuse panel came out of and transfer case all together axles spindles may need change to also wire harness too!! Please check too before say geeze Murphy!
I'm already totally addicted to this build Brent! This build can be called "The Major" lol. Looks like I'll have some really interesting and cool videos to look forward to for a while, I thank you sir! NO LOWER PLEASE! Your call though Nice tunes by the way!
You're making it look good, I love how you tucked the frame up into the body , your doing a great job keep up the great work and God Bless you and your family 💯💪🏼👍👍🙏🙏✌
Making of a great build. You have shown us how to move the rear end how to scoot the engine back and to make body mounts all in one video. Fab 401 Senior class is about to start. on how to build correctly. Thanks for a great video. Ride height with the runningboards is spot on.looks like orgional NAPO 4x4 conversion. except better.
Well you did it again. I am on the edge of my seat waiting to see what you are going to do next. Thanks for sharing and letting us hang out in your shop with you. 👍😀👉🇺🇸🇨🇦
Loookingg good , but I wouldn't expect anything Less from a man of your talents. Hope no one has to work on the rear spring shackles, it looks to be a bit tight
I am not into vans/station wagons or these old panel vans. But I enjoy watching you get it done. I like the modern drive train LSx especially what you did with the 65 pickup and the SS Trailblazer AWD. You are an artist in so many ways of a vehicle.
I see another classic coming soon and she’s gonna be a beauty! THAT would look awesome as a shop ambulance painted in OD Green with a Red Cross on each side near the rear. Some nice lettering too maybe like “Halfass Kustom Road Service” written on it to use for mobile repair and recovery! 😉 I know, it’s not for everyone, but you’ve already got your staff truck, the “General!” I’ve been looking for a decent pickup for a year and a half now that wouldn’t require huge work due to very limited residential repair space currently so good luck to me. One marketplace seller advertised an ARIZONA rust free pickup that I accidentally stuck my FIST through the rear frame tapping it! I’ve got a spring clean up from hell to undertake to arrange my yard to ready it for building my next daily driver! At least with a ground up build, you’re ready for just about anything and can be light on your feet dodging and blocking those ugly swings at you as you go because you see her naked. It’s the rolling of the dice on these dang Harry the homeowners foam filled quarters, duct taped cardboard floor pans and other related repairs that are killin me! lol! I guess it could be worse, I could be driving a 99 escort zx2 with a Jaguar hood ornament in the meantime... Wait, I AM!
Nobody in this generation knows how to swing a torch like that with the plasma cutters and all that stuff they got you really know how to handle that torch I do it the same way
My arm's hurt just watching you Brent! Hope you have some extra-extra strength aspirin kicking around in the shop! Another project that is shaping up nicely!
YOU SIR ARE A MASTER AUTOMOBILE FABRICATOR I LOVE THE WAY YOUR MIND WORKS JUST WHEN I THINK THERES NO WAY IN HELL HE CAN DO THAT YOU DO IT I AM IMPRESSED AND I ENJOY YOUR VIDEOS HOPE TO WATCH THEM FOR A LONG TIME
Brent, great job, if it would have been me I probably would have done all the mounts as you did, then stripped & painted the chassis, rebuilt the front suspension, brakes, brake lines, fuel system....that's why it takes me for ever to do something.....just sayin... GOD BLESS!!!
Looking good. I like the stance you're going for. That would be a crazy snow skiing buggy when I was in a ski club & we'd rent house near the slopes. Thanks for sharing.
Some duallies on the arse end would look super cool, especially if you're gonna widen that rear guard. A little rake to it, yeah. Love your work man. Keep it up 👍👍👍😀🍻
Man after the day I've had it was good to enjoy a Miller Lite with your new project! It will be hard to top the General! A stealthy 4x4 that doesn't look 4x4! Awesome! I like how you make decisions on the go. Man the amount of work needed! Carona Was glad to see Pablo.
Love the ride height and looks amazing right now and the hairs up and down could be just adjusted suspension wise though... Panels needed to go away for sure. Lots of small details to be done and unseen yet needed to make this work! Wish u the best!!!
How about full pine tree military camo (to help with stealth camping, which is becoming more necessary with every edict our GTA MPPs come up with). I would love to have that and fit it out for van camping (back packers stove and tools, a couple of coolers for perishable food and a nice platform bed with storage underneath ). That would be a whole lot of sweet. And with the mastermind, Dr. Frankenstein, building it you know it would be done right. Already in love with this build.
Love it! Thanks a ton man! You have only just started. and have already shown me so much . Things I have been wondering about with my 49 Chevy onto a 2000 Silverado chassis I have been working on.
I will certainly appreciate the wiring in detail. My first attempt at efi (vortec) is a difficult thing, keeping hvac and fuseboxes from the 97 and fitting it into a 69.
HEy, just 13 minutes late to class professor! Was just watching old Mortske and Duff fire off that 75 junkyard Blazer! Will comment more after the vid if I got anything dumb to add, cool?!
I don't think You're going to gain a lot by getting it a bunch lower. I think you probably could get the look your going for with the better wheel-tire combo. But you have done this kind of thing way more than I. So good luck with that. 🤘
I'll prob keep these wheels on it and it keeps the wheel wells full, that said I'll give who ever any wheel option they want when I move out the fenders for clearance.
Ian just want to say hi to you all and I really enjoy watching your videos. You never seem to upset when something doesn't go right. You either laugh at it or joke about it but you always getter done and right. God bless you all my friend
Brent, You are one of the best and fastest Fabricator/Welder / Mechanic on UA-cam period!

What a great looking van.can't wait to see6end result
I'm like a carried away child full of anticipation.... impatiently waiting to see what comes next. These posts are my much needed Prozac. TX

This build has the same potential as the General 👍
Magic fab work. Lowering the body to the frame doesn't change ground clearance, so you've lost nothing 4x4 wise. The truck looks right. Thanks Brent. 👍😎🕵🏾♂️🍺🎸🎵👽🥂
Looking good! Reusing the original mount brackets was brilliant.
I could watch this all day
My Brother had a 61 Apache Panel truck...it was a "36" series..talk about a Fun F'n Truck!!!
Very interesting build and thank you for taking me with you. Watching from sunny Hermanus South Africa 🇿🇦
*- Lots and lots of work done. Good for you, Brent.*
Perfect panel delivery truck for delivering caskets!!! Magnetic signs, half-ass casket company, you whack um we pack um!! Thanks for sharing Brent!!
New Camera? That video was crystal clear, like I was standing there with you. You make it look so easy. 😉👍

Brent the Magic Metal Man
Fabricator as always Looking
Good.
the ride height looks great as it is. love to watch you work. cant wait to see what you do with the roadster
It looks good don't need it any lower
I agree do not lower it like I said in my other text put some hydraulics in it if you want to lower it or pick it up
Maybe put some tinted glass whatever shape you want in the sides put a few seats in the back there's a lot you can do with that vehicle
Just put some skinnier tires on the damn thing you ain't got to mess with the fenders
I'm already totally addicted to this build Brent! This build can be called "The Major" lol. Looks like I'll have some really interesting and cool videos to look forward to for a while, I thank you sir! NO LOWER PLEASE! Your call though Nice tunes by the way!

Im amazed at how much he has shared with us and HE has taken his time with the details so we can comprehend all of them!!
Another great build. Looking forward for more learning. Thanks 👍

👍😀👉🇺🇸🇨🇦
That was a good idea to tighten the old bolts until they snapped ... I will try that
You are right, it would look better lowered
Loookingg good , but I wouldn't expect anything Less from a man of your talents. Hope no one has to work on the rear spring shackles, it looks to be a bit tight

This truck that I will enjoy to only it, Great work pal.
Man step-by-step she is taking the stance that should look wicked hot. 😎👍🇨🇦

Liked seeing those tricks to remove the studs with the help of nuts., washer, and an arc welder.
I had a vison with this painted green with the halfass kustoms logo on the side that would look cool.
Brent, another great episode showcasing your custom fabricating skills. Congrats on surpassing 50,000 subscribers.
Great to watch you solving the issues and coming up with ideas as the investigation of how and what to do changes :)
II have never seen the washer trick! Thanks for sharing!
Great to watch Thanks Halfass
Becoming one of my favorite channels..Keep up the good work!
Looking good. I like the stance you're going for. That would be a crazy snow skiing buggy when I was in a ski club & we'd rent house near the slopes. Thanks for sharing.

You beat me to it, Very useful. Cheers
Love the ride height and looks amazing right now and the hairs up and down could be just adjusted suspension wise though... Panels needed to go away for sure. Lots of small details to be done and unseen yet needed to make this work! Wish u the best!!!

I love This channel man I'm only a province apart from you I wish you were my neighbour
Don’t lower, looks right the way it is.
Agreed. Looks good as it sits now.
With the running boards back on and it will look just fine.....

Super cool episode, very interesting and wondering what in store next! I think you got this gig finely tuned bro...
You have a lot of suface rust to contend with , wish I could be there and go to work steel brushing it off but it's a long way from KY .
Another awesome build.
Never saw the exhaust stud trick, i have drilled hunnerds.
And to my suprise it actually works. Will try it next time.
I like you the way you work no plan no method just get to it and do it. 👍👍😀
