You know, I've always heard adults say, when thier around kids, I sure wish I had thier energy. Nope, I wish I had Brent's energy... haha, that man gets more done at night, after work, than I do in a month... Another great job, looking good 👍
*- I was upset with the squareness, until you went to the English Wheel. Whew ! ! !* *- I see a lot of work going into this. Thank you for the effort, Brent.*
What do you mean, make it look like a nice truck. This is a beautiful truck and any truck lover out there would love to have it. I know I have been looking for one a long time. You are doing a great job I love it and love to watch you work your magic !!!!
Thanks for a nice relaxing night watching this video Brent! One problem though, every time I see one of your innovative type tools, I go and look to buy one lol!! My garage is ready to explode with all the stuff! Anyway, thank you very much for filming the projects , they are so informative and a pleasure to watch. Helps to take the mind off all the nonsense going on. All the best, give the pups a pet from me.
Tuned in to get my daily fix and I see Pablo sneaking some food; after each bite he looks around as if to say, " anybody see me?" No? Good, back at it..... and when I first saw the read fenders, the flat kind of grew on me, but then after the wheel and hammer; that made it!! thanks!
I want to see him work on the convertible truck he started year's ago. He pulled it in did a few small thing's to it and drug it back out side. He will get to it again that's a Kustom truck 48-53 body style truck
Let me tell you Brent I'd rather come visit you than chip goose kindig it or the rest of them. I love your builds and would be proud to rod yours around. I'm 64 yrs old and been a subscriber since you started. Keep it up and your channel is gonna go through the roof. Look at it for a year or so. Holy. Love Pablo. He's a hit
By you widening the fenders made it just look that much better. If who ever gets it and wants to put air suspension in it that's one less thing they have to worry about. Plus wheels and tires can change the whole look of the panel truck. 👍🏼💯
Those flashing blue lights scared me at first--I thought I was being pulled over by the cops. Then I realized I wasn't even driving. Whew! It was just the MIG spotting. Great work!
They make them widen in fiberglass back fenders I seen them on the truck's. I don't think they make the front fenders widen. This guy in Miami made a truck with widen fenders it took two truck's to build one truck. He name the truck El Gordo meaning fat boy or big boy. It's on you tube somewhere that's where I saw it. The story is he built the truck ran into money troubles year's later the owner was selling the truck and the original owner that built the truck bought it back and change a few thing's on it to make it better.
this is amazing! halfass kustom is my favorite channel on youtube! brent does amazing work and im very surprised he dosent have millions of followers!! let me tell you why! everyone else that do cars on youtube they build these very expensive builds that are all sponsored and require an entire crew of profesionals! some of those builds are nice but are very impractical and some of them wouldnt even make it across the street! and here is brent! he take old vehicules and gives them a second chance at life and throws a modern powertrain in them. makes them drivable and practical and usable and can even be used in harsh canadian winters! this is real life stuff people! and bo sponsor! this is all hard work out of pocket and on his own! this is better! much better than any "sema build" this guy is the best! tons of respect for brent's work and his great real life builds! i.watch every video and love it! best on youtube! period!
The fenders look great! I’ve added 2-1/2” to my rear fenders on my ‘34 Chevy and need to do the same thing by crowning them. Thanks for the inspiration! I’ll be doing the same with the planishing hammer.
Its amazing that body stayed in such good shape for all the salt that it must have seen over the years, i was born and raised in Detroit and in the fifties all the tri- fives would rust Gasser rear wheel cut outs in them, that truck is still all there!
The work and music combo is pretty great. Excellent vibe. I had a friend back in the day had one of these panel van. Painted it to look like a high top sneaker. Very cool
Hello from the Mekong Delta, pissing rain this morning. Another entertaining episode I like how the whee wheels in your brain work. English wheel and hammer creating a transitional radius, it looks terrific. Thanks see you next time.
You did a fantastic job on the back fenders, widening the front & back made a big difference in the look of the delivery. Brent you made it look way better than factory. Keep up the great work and God Bless you and your family. Those running boards are going to look great on there. 💯👍👍🙏🙏💪🏼
Love the video I have a 1950 panel short bed doing a off frame custom restoration right up my alley thank you for all your videos continuously learning from Louisville Ky.
Awesome job on the fenders and panel truck Brent. And the foot step makes the panel truck look complete and even better with the wide fenders. To bad you are not going to finish the fenders, it would only take you one or two afternoons and increase the value. If I lived closer, I would come over and buy it as is from you and finish it myself. Great video, God bless
Factory Fitted Brent. Amazing work as I've become to expect from your great skill & passion. Cheers Mate for sharing. Billy J.... Queensland, Australia.
You are a man of many talents sir. I was expecting the rear fenders to be just a bit less compliant than the fronts with that convex curve, but they fell into shape really well. Great content, music, what more could a fella ask for. Catch you later, regards from the U.K. 🇨🇦🇬🇧.
That's some mad patina . Reminds me to attack the hood (bonnet ) with a 120 flap wheel on the 4" angle grinder. And then let a British winter pickle it. Love the sound track. Be well and stay safe. UK.
My son, who happens to be married and visiting. Just asked if the 2 inches was really worth it. I simply said you should ask your wife that. My wife, his mom, yelled hey from the other room.....lol Love this channel
Looks Good Sir..Widening those fenders really changed the look of it. Looks Great..With the running boards its will be a Sweet Ride...Great job and video..
I loved the look of the early panel trucks. I worked for a man, who's name was Jack Johnson in the late fifties an real early sixties as he was one of the first men I ever worked for outside of family. My dad wanted me to work for him but Jack had stuff that dad wanted so he let Jack hire me for two dollars and fifty cents a day. Cool weather we worked from just could see til dark going home. Hot weather would take them guys out and so I would stay behind on fire watch but anything that needed fixing I could earn more money an being pretty young yet, I went for it. I kept those old 216 engines running as they had miles on them. They were the 46 model panel trucks an they packed shake bolts inside them holding almost a cord of blocks that would go to shake mills. I miss those days actually. I got real familiar with brakes on those old trucks back then as it was steep roads, and dusty as hell. Gravel roads that we traveled just about twenty miles for an it was slow so home meant at least a hours drive. Just to go that distance as those old tires would blow out an springs broke. I will say this, those trucks for that time period were damn tuff. I have yet to see anymore of those kind of panels that basically were of that same shape or design but behind the two front seats in front the body was raised up about ten inches.... I just got a brain fart here Brent... I wonder if they were short school buses?? No windows in the sides and so that couldn't been the case could it?? I was but thirteen then an didn't read or write, I thought I was smart cause I could do math and the rest of them hillbillies were challenged if it was more than the fingers on their hands. I guess I will never know now but did they make a one ton school bus body in those rigs Brent?
Always looking forward to the next episode in this build. I think I had a hot wheel that resembled this as a kid, not sure, anyhoo, moving on lol!! Awesome Brent thx.
Finishing? A way to go before we see the last of this one, I hope. I would keep this one. Big enough for a mattress and a camping stove for those 'marital' moments... Maybe that's just me. Many thanks, as ever. Entertained and educated. Damn!
Great job !! You really do make it look easy !! Thank you for taking us along !! You might have gotten into some " nasty" material if you had brought the bolt on metal to the outside !! Be safe my friend and God bless you and yours !!!! Eddy.
Great job! I think the way you widened them with the planished curve looks more natural than if they had been unbolted and a strip added to the inside. Thanks for the car show footage too, I really like the '28 Model A rpu with the hopped up 4 banger!
For thousands of years men have gathered to show off their prize stallions and mares, oxen and draft animals, their modes of transportation and the results of their work, caring for and breeding the best of the best. Nothing much has changed and men still take pride in their now iron horses at gatherings and show events. I think there is a measure of good in taking pride in what our hands have made with the help of our LORD guiding us to success. "Father TRUTH, His Spirit LOVE, His Son the FORM of God." We are not God but with Jesus" help we can certainly do marvelous things. Lest we forget to give God some glory as well.
I was a welder and fabricator for 14 year's in 2008 I had a stroke. A few year's later I found Brents you tube channel. Made me want to start getting back into welding plus watching what other people were building. Back when I started welding there was no UA-cam. I still had a lot of my tool I got motivated by watching Brents vids and welded me up a welding table out of free scrap metal, the top of the table was given to me and my oldest brother gave me a vice for my table I restored the vice painted it up to match my table. Now all kinds of small project's one day I'll work my way up to a bigger project like a car ? Now a work table at my height that I can easily roll up to the table. One day I'll make a video of me working at my table. I have a few video's I made nothing to long. I have to get a stand for my phone to record as I'm working. If I can do defiantly anyone can do it
A few years ago I sold a 1949, 1 ton 3100 extended wheelbase panel truck, if I had extended fenders like that on it I probably would have done a 4x4 and a DT466 swap on it. Way cool!!!!
Love how at 1 minute 35 seconds, Pablo is like “Hmmm, while Dad’s ignoring me I’ll just help myself to little snack.” He even keeps checking that he’s not been spotted! Love him.
What a great way to widen the fenders . And the panel truck needed that touch ! Sure wish I had that panel for myself ! I mentioned my grandfather had the same panel back in the 50s ! Looking good my friend !
The cool thing that I love the most about the panel truck ..... Is that it was born the same year as me !! Ha ! Let me know when you are ready to sell I would like to at least give you a bid. Thanks my brother.
Looking good. You made that fender work in the last episode look easy [its not for the average guy but watching you and Fitz do your magic helps us shmoes move in the right direction]. Good stuff as usual :-)
I am liking this van more as I see it worked on. Pity I dont live in Canada as I would love to buy it if I had the money. It has great styling and character.
Great work on the fenders. Really makes a difference in the look of the truck. Nice looking cars at that car show. Nice to see your wife out with ya too. My wife and I only got out to a couple of car shows this summer. Too many restrictions until it got started getting dark too early. Be safe and stay well.
I'm not much on restomods but I have to say you did an excellent job on this one keep it looking like the original and what you did on the fenders was great I've always liked the unique look of the old panel trucks leaving it 4wd was a great idea
Are you welding back to the fender or just welding it to the truck body?
back to the fender so they can be removed if needed.
The dog is just helping himself to the bag of food, I love it
The dogy can,t read.. the sign say "wrong way."..
If Dogy could read it will not dare to take it all by him self... good dogy just go' for it..🛠🚗✌🚦😎
This is looking like a keeper Brent, don't stop now, primer and paint and lots of Chrome. PLEASE.
You know, I've always heard adults say, when thier around kids, I sure wish I had thier energy. Nope, I wish I had Brent's energy... haha, that man gets more done at night, after work, than I do in a month... Another great job, looking good 👍
Watch dd speed shop he is just as hard of worker
A young man would deliver our groceries in a van exactly like this one. I was about 7 years old. Brings back memories. I like your channel.
Good call on reworking the fender extension in the English Wheel.
Yesssss!!! Killing it as usual Brent. Love that it’s a chassis swap. Such a killer base
It's fun watching you in action ! It's also nice too see someone that has such a talent as yours .Keep the sunny sidd
I'm not sure pathetic my life is but when a new Brent project update comes its the highlight of my day.
*- I was upset with the squareness, until you went to the English Wheel. Whew ! ! !*
*- I see a lot of work going into this. Thank you for the effort, Brent.*
Love the dog getting a snack while keeping an eye on you.
Pablo, shop foreman.
Man, he’s such a good dog! Loves given hugs!
Lovin the content, keep’em coming!
Coming along nicely. Pablo with his head in the dog food bag at the beginning had me cracking up.
Widening the fenders really improved the look of that beast. Going to be another great old truck. Nice work.
I like the fact you are targeting the really old rolling stock and allowing them to live again.
What do you mean, make it look like a nice truck. This is a beautiful truck and any truck lover out there would love to have it. I know I have been looking for one a long time. You are doing a great job I love it and love to watch you work your magic !!!!
i love those old panel trucks , good job on the fenders ,, stay safe friend
The fenders look great widened ... and the curve finished them off nicely.
Thanks for a nice relaxing night watching this video Brent! One problem though, every time I see one of your innovative type tools, I go and look to buy one lol!! I think it's cool that you go only so far and than let someone else make it their own. Mean while this iron is back on the street
Awesome video. Great job with the fenders. Enjoyed the car show footage. Thank you
Tuned in to get my daily fix and I see Pablo sneaking some food; after each bite he looks around as if to say, " anybody see me?" No? Good, back at it.....
and when I first saw the read fenders, the flat kind of grew on me, but then after the wheel and hammer; that made it!! thanks!
you need to finish that one...it looks like the generals little brother

Your so gifted to see these things and do them without hesitation. Thanks for your video.

Love that background music! Love your work! You are truly an artist.
Those flashing blue lights scared me at first--I thought I was being pulled over by the cops. Then I realized I wasn't even driving. Whew! It was just the MIG spotting. Great work!
Really enjoyed this show...I learned a great deal. I've had half dozen panels and always thought how much better they would look widened. Thnx buddy 😎
They make them widen in fiberglass back fenders I seen them on the truck's. I don't think they make the front fenders widen.

I think the name Generation old school is where I saw it?
This guy interviews many people with old car's and truck's.
Love to see one of your projects with a hot rod finish with paint etc as you trademanship is outstanding.
much respect to our neighbors to the north. i have more relatives in Canada then i do in America. thanks for the video.
As usual, another great video on widing the back fenders ,looks great Brent ,can't wait to see the side steps and bumper installed ,Thanks man .
Good job, you have big bucks in equipment ,must have taken years too collect so much.
Sweet video,,great way too widen them, tks Brett looks alot better now..

@@HalfassKustoms
this is amazing!
halfass kustom is my favorite channel on youtube! brent does amazing work and im very surprised he dosent have millions of followers!!
let me tell you why!
everyone else that do cars on youtube they build these very expensive builds that are all sponsored and require an entire crew of profesionals! some of those builds are nice but are very impractical and some of them wouldnt even make it across the street!
and here is brent! he take old vehicules and gives them a second chance at life and throws a modern powertrain in them. makes them drivable and practical and usable and can even be used in harsh canadian winters!
this is real life stuff people! and bo sponsor! this is all hard work out of pocket and on his own!
this is better! much better than any "sema build"
this guy is the best!
tons of respect for brent's work and his great real life builds!
i.watch every video and love it!
best on youtube! period!
Looks good! the running boards really finish it off nicely. Take care, stay warm. 🙂
The rounded edge shows up just fine on your fender extension!
I really enjoy watching you. You know how to make things right. If I dove anymore, I'd have you build me something!👍
Good show man, thanks for sharing. Loved the opening!!
Love the fact your dog whilst munching on food from a bag kept his eye out to see if you were watching lol
The wider fenders are mint Brent! Good call!! Thanks for the Cruise In/Car Show bonus footage!!
Love that old panel wagon. Great job on the widening of the fenders. It needed that.
This would make an awesome truck for a trade/handyman. After its painted it would be good advertising when driving from job to job. Great work Brent!
The fenders look great! I’ve added 2-1/2” to my rear fenders on my ‘34 Chevy and need to do the same thing by crowning them. Thanks for the inspiration! I’ll be doing the same with the planishing hammer.
The fenders have a nice profile now, hope you keep build this one! Have a great weekend Brent.
Really digging this truck. Didn't think it needed widening till you did it. Now, I can't imagine it not widened.
That turned out really good and Pablo knows where the food is. 👍👍😀🇨🇦🐕
Its amazing that body stayed in such good shape for all the salt that it must have seen over the years, i was born and raised in Detroit and in the fifties all the tri- fives would rust Gasser rear wheel cut outs in them, that truck is still all there!
Looks good, Pablo was acting sneaky at the beginning of the video, ☺️ LOL! I guess food taste better when you sneak it! 😁✌🏻🇺🇸🇨🇦
Love the montage of "Hotties" at the end. Nice touch Mate.
Very nice work on the wheel arches. Liked the custom show as well, lots of beautiful cars
Looks way better now with the breathing space around the wheels ..good job my friend
You make it look so easy and it takes a lot of skill and experience, very nice!!
I can hear a big block fuel injected blown Chevy in that panel van...fender look great. The roundness you added was the icing on the cake
You are amazing, there isn't anything you can't do. You do work like I use to. Dive in.
The work and music combo is pretty great. Excellent vibe. I had a friend back in the day had one of these panel van. Painted it to look like a high top sneaker. Very cool
You did a great job on those fenders. Turning that square edge into a nice rounded edge sure made a difference! Love all your videos.
I love a good fender-widening.
Fenders look amazing! Great job! Love watching & listening to you!!
planishing hammer totally did the trick for a much better look and finish great job! instant subscriber
Was not sure I was going to like the wide track look, but that turned out well. Impressed!
Hello from the Mekong Delta, pissing rain this morning. Another entertaining episode I like how the whee wheels in your brain work. English wheel and hammer creating a transitional radius, it looks terrific. Thanks see you next time.
Looks good. The car show was great. Loved the model A Tudor and the roadster pickup. Enjoy
The panel is in nice shape for its age and environment 😎 nice job
