- Twenty-six countries participated at the Grand Final of the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest, which was held in Portugal's capital Lisbon. The event took place in the Altice Arena. The contest was won by Netta from Israel with her song Toy.

I feel exactly the same way, this song plays on the radio here in Germany a lot and I always have to cry. And it's Germany's best esc result in ages!
I watched the national final with my grandparents that year. Before the performances even started all participants were standing next to each other, when my grandpa drops the comment "this guy will win" as the camera passed Michael. :)

Eurovision should be held every year in Portugal, for me it was the best Eurovision I've seen in my life, and I was lucky to see it live, which was a dream, and all countries had fantastic songs, it was a shame many have to stay out.

Rewatching this today. 2018 was one of the Best Eurovisions ever. Amazing musical diversity and the lack of LED s was a smart choice because each act has amazing lightning work done which make it super dynamic. Seeing the rehearsals from 2021 and we all see the same safe stuff from everybody 🤷♂️

This is the best Eurovision Song Contest I have ever seen. All 43 songs are many of the best songs I have ever listened to. This contest has opened up my mind that there are more quality songs to listen. Even though I from Asia (Thailand), I can smell the unity of Europe to produce such a spectacular event.
I would like to say "Thank You" to everyone for giving me a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Some songs made me happy. Some made me cry. Some made me dance overnight, but all made me proud.
Thank you so much. I hope I can travel to Tel Aviv for ESC2019.

I feel the same, even though I'm from Southeast Asian country I love how much effort they've put in Eurovision 2018.
This is why it took this so long to upload because the Surie part was edited. censored again to look perfect. Anyway its one of the best Eurovision its full of character, I love how Portugal integrated their culture and identity, and stage can be awesome without the distracting and visually loaded LED ! - from your biggest fan in the Philippines watching since Dusseldorf live at 3am.
