Literally just put it in the washing machine or dryer with tennis balls and have it spin. U may need to do this a few times but after every 10-20 minutes take it out and shake it a bit. Beating the jacket will also help.
Thanks, not for the washing tip but introducing me to the legendary voice of Patsy Cline. I listened to her for the first time and it’s crazy to know that she passed away fifty years ago
@@healthyman5826 it is just really hard to do properly if not on a warm summer day to air dry a down jacket. If it stays wet or damp for too long mold or mildew van form and start with that funky smell but it's rather bad for you jacket and the down. Also laying the wet down down will have it clumped up where you need too fluff it vigorously many times throughout the process. If you are really adamant about it and it is dry and warm outside go for it but c'mon most people will only mess it up by lazily hanging it and forgetting it.
@en2095 don't use tennis balls. Use DRYER BALLS. they are little small plastic light bouncing balls basically but with spikes (not sharp obviously) . It's basically a ball with spikes, it's made for clothes in the dryer and especially re fluffing a jacket Search up dryer balls. Thank me later. Great jacket hack. I can wash my jacket at ANY speed without worrying about the fluffyness disappearing. Because it will all come back during the drying stage

Wash in nikewax or grangers Down cleaner and also use their waterproofer as well to give the jacket a protective coating for light showers
Clean it inside out and let it air dry. Put it in the dryer on low/med heat till it fluffs up.
Definitely don't air-dry down jackets.

We used clean tennis shoes in the dryer, to fluff our down items. Been doing this ever since I was a kid. Loud but effective!
