Professional athletes can't turn down interviewers without being fined. If Collegiate athletes refuse to they will painted in negative light or the school will receive some sort negative publicity. And personally I think that's unfair to all athletes. By definition, that is extortion. Just my opinion.

She was a beast in high school also. Straight out of my high school Dallas Carter. She’s is making us and the school proud. Michael Johnson was from Dallas Skyline. But, she won state at least 2 years in a row. Michael was 2nd in the 200 meters in his only state appearance. Michael had a great track career. Hopefully, she can follow in his footsteps. She has already surpassed his high school career and freshman year. She is having a freshman year like we thought the great Roy ‘Robot’ Martin was going to have. We thought his freshman year was going to be like this and like Noah Lyles and Michael Norman last year, which was their 2nd year out of high school. But, I digress. She’s great!! I hope and pray she continues to get better. Her form and turnover is awesome to behold.

That world record that Flojo set is fake. There are several indications that the wind was well over the legal limit that day. Even people who were in the stadium that day say that there were very strong winds blowing, yet the wind metre read 0.0. The wind metre was obviously broken and that 10.49 should never have been ratified (Despite of time keeping company Omega claiming that the wind metre was correct) . What makes that time even more suspicious was that Flojo the very next day ran a 10.61, a full 0.12 slower than the previous day and coincidentally the second best time that she ever ran in her career. As far as I see it, the 10.61 is much more believable as a legitimate world record and is actually a time a handful of women have gotten close to since Flojo. (I won't get into Flojos obvious drug use as that is a dicussion for another day). Anyways for Sha'Carri to run a 10.75 as a junior and 0.13 faster than the old U20 world record as well as break the world U20 200m at the same meet simply stunning. She is going places.
