- I caught the insane Bugatti Bolide track-only race car driving into the Concours d'Elegance at Villa D'Este in Lake Como, Italy. This hypercar is powered by a 1850 hp W16 engine with quad turbos and has a straight pipe exhaust, so sounds very different to the Veyron and Chiron before it.
It’s like putting an aircraft engine in a car, that’s the same horsepower output as a World War II fighter like a P51.

@@rosswimhurst the Sptifire was less powerfull in term of engine. It is hyped in history because GB used it in the battle of england but they just done with what they had, they didn't won because they had "the best plane ever". The P38 was actually the best fighter of that era but is less hyped...
Normally when a non-car-person refers to any mid engine car as the batmobile I cringe but I have to admit they’re right on this one. Straight outta Bruce Wayne’s garage.
Yeah I’m sure they would’ve used it in the Batman but they couldn’t afford it so they built some piece of junk instead :)

@@yustforfun they can rent it but wrecking it would be too expensive and probably same for insuring it to do stunts. I mean they can just put a similar body kit on a chassis with softer/longer suspension travel and will add fake sound and own a stunt car that they caneventually wreck for way cheaper than just renting this car. plus a batmobile needs a bit more rugged/off road look and be able to jump curbs etc..

The designer who thought about converting an 50s-ish X taped on lights (to prevent glass fragments on track) to a light design is a f.. genius I am truly jealous of. To me that deserves a Nobel in design, clearly

Incredible how the engineers came up with this largely in secret and their own time. Just shows what can be achieved when the shackles truly come off.
Now they need to make a driver who can use it to its limits, f1 drivers do not race 1850 hp cars

love how they spend millions on engineering a car that can go above 200mph, grip like a monster, just for it to drive 2mph...

1850 was for the one off concept. The production version is 1600

I cannot believe that anyone would even think of driving the piece of art into a gravel road where you can hear the gravel hitting the car. Crazy. Better Deduct about half a million off the price with the little paint imperfections now. Even going slow the gravel can be heard hitting the car.
I'm not a bugatti fan the veyron or Chiron but this weapon is a whole different league!!

This car is something else... I mean just look at that line, just ear that sound... And that engine... So dam powerful 1850 Cv 8.0 liters quadriturbo, ( 1 liter =231cv!!!). And it's also light: 1250kg so it's 0.67 kg/cv.... Acceleration 0-100 in 2.17 seconds; 4.36 seconds for 0-200 km/h and 7.37 seconds for 0-300 km/h. The maximum speed is more than 500 Km/h, a value that reaches in 20.16 seconds...
And nothing have been proved And the production car will have 1600hp and weigh 1450kg
