- Steff and I ride the Pyrenees Adventure Country Track (ACT). An off-road dirt track route from the Mediterranean To The Atlantic down the entire Pyrenees mountain range.
it is an epic route for a dual sport or adventure bike.
We got sidetracked and also rode a section of the Trans Euro Trail (TET) not to mention went hunting for an abandoned VW T1 on a pyrenees high plateau .... but that's for future episodes! For now we head down to the start point moot camping on the way

@wanderinghonda7963 good editing takes forever at the best of times, I saw the motion tracked name tags. Those take an age to render in and you're lucky if they are ever right first time 😂 well worth the wait!
What an entertaining first episode. I remember crossing through France to ACT Pyrenees was much more dull, due to well-exercised French speed limits ;-) France in 2023 is probably double the size as before. But the wonderful camping municipal make up for that. Cheers from Günter/Nürnberg

Hi Guys, Great video, We travel on The Africa twins and are weighing up some of the ACT on our next tour. Can we ask which tent your using in this video? We want something that packs small but big enough for two plus luggage and ideally to stand in to dress etc
I’m so sorry we’re away at the moment so won’t have access to our camping kit but from memory we use a Big Agnes Copper Spur bike packing tent (the poles fold extremely small for packing)
Hopefully I haven’t got that wrong! We’re planning on doing a camping set up video as people seem interested in what we pack

Looks great do you think the act would be as good from the other direction I'm planing it from bilboa.
I just asked Steph and between us we can’t think of a reason why it wouldn’t work going in the other direction. The videos will give you an idea of the terrain, bearing in mind of course that the camera flattens everything as opposed to shows gradient.
I’m not sure if you’re aware but a couple of days ago they published an updated route due to sections of the route that we did being closed but I think the changes are minor and the video should give you a good idea of the tracks

Hi just wondering if at 95 degrees the Hondas handled it ok ?
Do you feel much heat coming off the engine back at your legs ect?
They handled it without missing a beat. They really are incredible little bikes. Not showy or flash. Not powerful or fast. Just uncomplicated little fun bikes that keep on going no matter what
There’s no heat coming off such a small engine into our legs so they work nicely in hot temperatures 😊
Always enjoy seeing your crf300 rally adventures. I did a 2400 mile round trip to Spanish Pyrenees in Oct on my rally, with a week of trails. Interested to know what tyres you used, as my Anakee Wilds were great but needed as new rear tyre by the time I got back to UK.
Hi Julie, we’ll be interested to see if you recognise any of the trails we do in this series! We used Anakee Wilds as well. Surprisingly we manage to generally get 5,000 miles out of them.
The other tyre we tend to use regularly are MT21’s. They’re a little more aggressive and last a little less time than the AW’s but are fairly comparable.
I think we’re just so slow our tyres last longer!

Hi and thanks for the lovely greeting! It’s brilliant that you asked about the tyres because we’ve had quite a few messages about them so we did a review (it’ll be the first video after the Pyrenees series finishes in a few weeks)
The tyres are Anakee Wilds. They did pretty well although as you’ll see in the next episode on Friday they didn’t get us through everything 😂
The route map is just either screen shots edited by Final Cut Pro or an app called “travelboast”
At some point there will be a very short pause in the channel but this year we’ve got some great travels planned.
After the tyre review is a brilliantly strange one off episode of an unexpected adventure!
After that we’re riding down to Portugal to ride the Portuguese ACT
Later in the year we are riding to the Balkans to ride the brand new Croatian ACT
Between those I’ve got one other plan that may or may not come to fruition!
