When vusi talked about those who ridiculed you, made fun of and are now advocates, I look at my family and friends (I’m half Arabic and half black) who said I was a disappointment only to be saying they’re proud of me that I was the youngest junior and only in my company to win the cutting edge award and achieved so much more (won’t get into that) and it just goes to show that even in different countries, not just south Africa, we have this notion that we non whites believe that we’re not good enough and that those who “make it” we’re lucky, did something to get there rather than acknowledging that they got there due to their HARD WORK! While watching Gary's videos I often feel disconnected for some reason.....sometimes I end the video midway....but Vusi....I devour his videos....I have a habit of playing videos in the background, but I everytime it is Vusi, I automatically stop everything and just watch him speak...perform... he is by far one of the most soulful speakers.....
