1998-99. My Sophmore year of high school I got my first job waiting tables at Village Inn. I used to put in like 50 hours a week averaging $11-$12/hour with my tips. My step Dad could only manage $5.15/hour at about like 25 hours a week at Hollywood video and my Mom wasn't much help either. I wanted to quit school after 10th grade but my Grandparents (who I loved more than anything) said they would be "disappointed" if I didn't graduate High School. So I went through the motions for 2 more years. I'm 36 years old now, self employed, and I realize I would've been just fine to be done with High School after 10th grade.

Fuck that shit. My mother didn't play around with school. My sister started to do very very bad in school but they would only give her Cs and Ds so my mom beat her ass the went to the school and arranged for her to be held back the next year (6th grade) of 2007. Completely obliterated any since of "Im in control, I do what I want with my life" my sister had. Shit was hilarious.

I was in air force rotc and our teacher was master Sargent Carter no joke and he called me Pyle. We had a boxing class where we would learn hand to hand combat. Well we had a guy that in 10th grade was 6'4 and had arms that went on forever so he would beat everyone. He got cock and kept trying to get Sargent Carter to boxing him. Well one day Carter tells him if he will get a paper signed by his parents then he would do it. The guy forged the signature because he REALLY thought he was going to win. Carter let the guy throw the first few punches then Carter started going in and absolutely destroyed this kid ended up breaking his nose and cracking his jaw 😂 then the kid was embarrassed and tried to get Carter fired. There was this bug investigation and everything but all /he students stood up for Carter and told what really happened. He kept his job but we were no longer allowed to box. So we just did it where "he couldn't see us" meaning if we got caught it was on us.

2:20 i call this group the rando's. People you would see literally everywhere all over campus for all 4 years of highschool but you had no idea who they were friends with or what their voices sounded like. I was part of the formerly mentioned stoners group tho 😅
Even better than the popular kids were those few and far between kids who weren't popular in the obnoxious sense but everybody loved them and knew who they were. They just meshed with everybody so they were a part of every group...oddly a bunch of those people were band kids
