Having left the hollers of Kentucky 15 years ago, Raylan Givens now lives in Miami, a walking anachronism balancing his life as a U.S. Marshal and part-time father of a 15-year-old girl. His hair is grayer, his hat is dirtier, and the road in front of him is suddenly a lot shorter than the road behind. A chance encounter on a desolate Florida highway sends him to Detroit. There he crosses paths with Clement Mansell, aka The Oklahoma Wildman, a violent, sociopathic desperado who's already slipped through the fingers of Detroit's finest once and aims to do so again. Mansell's attorney, formidable Motor City native Carolyn Wilder, has every intention of representing her client, even as she finds herself caught between cop and criminal, with her own game afoot as well. These three characters set out on a collision course in classic Elmore Leonard fashion, to see who makes it out of the City Primeval alive.

Little detail about this scene.
The K9 handler and the K9 itself are both IRL former officers if I am not mistaken. I believe the handler was a SWAT officer and after his K9 retired they got into acting. People might recognise him and the dog from SEAL Team on CBS. Just something that makes his walk and weapon handling make a lot more sense.
Correct he was a police officer but now I think he's just a reserve officer as he does a lot more photography and tv now with his dogs one is a retired police k9 and the other is just a every day tv and photography working dog both trained to do the same jobs.
That's brilliant!! Both for the veracity he brings to his work and the capacity he allows his dogs to continue exercising their training. I do love the description of a Malinois as 'A German Shepherd on Steroids'. I follow Girl with the Dogs on UA-cam and she had a German Shepherd/Belgian Malinois come in for a groom and remarked that whomever came up with THAT combination had to be crazy - An Escape Artist with the capacity to jump a 6 foot wall'
Yup, I have a black Belgian Malinois, her name is Hero and she looks every bit of our "Beware of Dog" sign. A sweet heart in the family but surely athletic and vey protective.
Would you agree the time from the dog being let go and him being treed was about five times too long the way they presented it? He never would have made it that far.
@@charlieross-BRM totally
LOL - Wouldn't wanna be on the receiving end of that pup! :)
Teach your dog beware of GLOCK.😅
@@rogerphillips4211 GLOCK better watch out for my other dogs SIG and Beretta 1301
Nothing can save this season - gonna go back and watch the real Justified series.
Hey, I know it had its haters, but I am all about some Justified. I think where Rayland was a little mean, he just grew up. He did what needed to be done and probably will do it again. He is older and picking his battles.
@ItIsMeScorpio I see were you are coming from, but I think they did it like Indiana Jones, let the guy grow older. I didn't mind that part.
bomb makers and you just go around opening things without worrying about tripwires and booby traps?
also who the fuck is dumb enough to follow the into the tunnel?!
it's a t.v. show.
@@user-mn8lz7gf6d Anyone dumb enough to join the force in the first place.
They're different. They go toward danger.
Watching the original again….last night…...”because I didn’t order assholes with my whiskey.”
King of cool
Timothy Olyphant is slowly turning into Colonel Sanders.
Isn't this highly illegal? The US government can't just let a dog eat you because you ran away from a dog trying to eat you. I've watched court cases on this very topic.
❄️
Yeah but the whole point of these Detroit cops is that they bend the line
The dog isnt eating anyone though, its not going to kill them unless ordered to either
It’s not illegal, in fact if you attack a police dog the cops are authorized to use deadly force. As for court cases that’s a separate thing. Get a liberal enough judge and a jury that sympathetic to the criminal and law be damned.
They know who they're dealing with and he ain't no ordinary civilian.
And all the evidence and admission is inadmissible.
You must be new to Justified.
Err who put the rug back after they were all down the hatch 😂
Pretty sure you just lay the rug on top of the hatch and when you slam it down rug goes with it
The last guy pulls it over as he closes it Einstein
@KeithLuttrell-fj7tu look at the way its set up...not possible...Epstein 😆
The dog is awesome 👍
So good they had a delta force operator to handle the fur missile...
A never thought this would be back, loved justified back in day, about time they brought some of old classics back, just need another fargo now
I suppose you've been in hibernation for the past couple of years.
@alanrowley9540 how u figure that when iver of them have been released on TV in UK yet, smart ass
There is no disappointing series with justified
City Primeval is missing some of the original series' charm, but it isn't terrible.
@@StudleyDuderightAgreed. I'd rather have some more Raylan Givens, regardless of whether or not it stands up to the original, than none at all.
@Au60schild And you are the reason why standards in the movie industry keep dropping. People like you
Am glad boyd escaped at the
end. I didn't think he was gonna be in it, to be honest, he made the 1st seasons
@@smokedog2185 He should have been in Primeval from the beginning if they were going to include him at all.
I wonder how the showrunners convinced Walter Goggins to change his mind about reprising his role as Boyd.
I'm no lawyer, but putting a dog onto someone like that appears to be cruel and unusual. It's a form of coercion and torture with the suspect trapped and all. Not admissible in court would be my guess.
Nope you’re not lawyer. Dogs are used to find, get and restrain a suspect. It’s a tool used to protect the human police, but as they’re considered police if a suspect attempts to harm one police (in most sane places) are authorized to use deadly force.
Yup! You're not a lawyer... You're a snowflake... It's different
@@jnino2744 Good one.
You are correct. Ridiculous.
And on TV (and in Detroit), maybe the judge doesn't care.
isn't the k9 handler brock, a "navy seal"? 😜
HOPE THERE IS A SEASON TWO OF THIS, anyone know???
Well as it was planned and produced as an 8 episode miniseries a season 2 isn't going to happen. Given how successful it was more Justified might be in the cards but if something was in pre-production the actors and writers strike shot every such proceedings down for the fall and things are just starting up again now, all we can do now is hope for the future.
@@nanomage I hear ya and I know, but the ending with Boyd on the loose, just begs for a season 2....
It does and if the actors/writers strike hadn't happened we would have probably heard a definitive answer by now. As it is, hollywood and the major networks usually take about 5 months after a strike to get things fully up and running again. So basically expect an answer by mid march 2024.
Malinois - "the skinny German Shepard"
The irony in these scene :D
Malinois are awesome dogs
Raylan "finds a hatch". What does that even mean? He finds a hatch to capture criminals. You lost me there.
Escape hatch.
Going down into a tunnel with guns but no electronic earpro?
A Belgian Malinois is NOT like a German Shepherd on steroids; they're essentially German Shepherds that have been shot with a shrink ray. Because they're smaller they tend to be more aggressive (smaller dogs get anxious and startled more easily, so they react with aggression - funnily enough the same logic could be applied to little guys who try to pick fights with much bigger guys).
That gum chewing got old really quick.
That’s a pretty good stunt
I wish it were better, but it isn't. You just can't go back again. It never works. Tv sucks so bad these days so people want the series to be good, but it isn't.
That was a very disappointing series. Raylan Giviens... Lite.
Yeah it has 2 good actors. The Detroit cop and Raylan of course. Rest were trash
The book was adapted for TV. The Givens character wasn’t the main character in the book. I’m not sure that, after reading the book, I’ll watch the series.
@@aznboycols Yes, I was aware of that. It was obvious Raylan was an afterthought.
Rylan should have stayed in Kentucky
Very disappointing
I started to watch it and quit. Very disappointing
Raylan lost his swagger, terrible series, had to watch it only because of the original.
Awesome movie dcr
Terrible series. Being from Detroit the portrayal of the city was a joke.
The whole thing tarnished the legacy of Raylan Givens big time.
He didn't write the script
You not low Brock
🤣 🤣 🤣 👍
Olyphant looks like he has cancer??
Wish they didn't waste so much time on hating on white people in this show.
But - we account for 100% of the crime! ... if you define crime "correctly".
