- Guitar of the Day! Taking a quick look at the Strandberg Boden Essential. This is my first time trying a Strandberg, they are very weird. They are so different to anything else out there, and are generally very expensive. The Boden Essential is about half the price of a normal Boden, and is a masterclass on how to create an affordable gateway drug guitar.

Sell me the Strandy!!!
First (and only lol) time I held a Strandberg was when a Guitar Center employee let me check out his personal guitar that he just happened to have with him that day.
My first words when I felt the neck were "Dude what the actual fuck is this neck!?" He cracked up at that lmao.
I almost had the exact same experience😂 weird
Who is Mao? L Mao? Leftwing Mao? Why don't you TYPE these four short words? Lazy?
@@voornaam3191 LOOL, not the TV program where they were asking teens about acronyms
@@arichi8936 Do you really watch such things? I live in Europe, and I do not like your USA BS like LMAO FR. We never say goodbye to our behindies, BTW. We NEVER type such things. Yeah, BMW, KTM, MG, RR, GB, UK. But these buttock things? Why?!
@@voornaam3191How's about not being a judgemental asshole, yeah?
Very well-polished stainless steel ‘frats?’
Mine arrived with several flaws in the finish, including a really nasty paint run I have sent it back to Sweden and I hope they send back a propper one
That fretboard radius sounds utterly dreadful, what the fuck?
This essential line was announced a month after i spent 1k upgrading a cheaper headless 😢
Just start savin' again, homie! 🙂👍
It's the endless cycle of the GAS addict, bruh!
The grind cycle is endless . . . might as well get used to it!! 🤣
Nah, just BUY that 1M dollar guitar. Or is it 1G dollar by now?
Cyberpunk 2077 ah guitar
I chose the red strat in the end though
They are light and more modern and fitted for function over form. But man, the old BOOMER are so sexy
Most guitarists choose with their eyes
I think these are quite beautiful though
the same function as old guitars, so boomers win all day
I think boomer guitars look... eh. Like if I want to have a prog metal look I'm not pulling up with a Gibson Les Paul. That's the least progressive guitar out there and it's just overall a piece of junk for the price. Heavy? Yes. Stays in tune? No. Survives one drop? No. They looked good for classic rock bands but I think the weird shapes and actual quality builds have more sauce overall, especially when you consider what music dudes play on Strand vs LP
@@thepotatotaxi2430 Ahem, Matt Heafy custom 7 string would like a word with you.
Oh also, the guitarist from Sleep Token has an absolutely monster Les Paul Baritone
Was that riff an uptuned pray for rain by Polaris?
Yeah! Just learned it and can’t stop playing it 🤘
@@agufishMe neither! That riff is an instant eargasm everytime I hear it
You fracture me,
Your hands on me -
A touch so plain, so stale it kills.
You strangle me,
Entangle me in hopelessness
And prayers for rain
Wait wrong song
The endurneck is weird, but my Strandberg is by far the most comfy to play, it’s actually shaped like that to guide your thumb down the spine of the neck to the proper position for greater ergonomics
Even kitty is like "Bruh, wtf?!?!" 😂
Yeah, I'm a boomer, hence an old man. It's about time Mr. Ola Stranberg is out of Sweden. Has revolutionized the guitar. Of course, I'm a fan boy for Gibson and Fender. Not any more. This guitar, the Boden, is the perfect guitar. I was getting into P.R.S. and I love the big three. My back doesn't . My new number one. The Stranberg Boden. All I can say is try one. It's incredible and it's about time. Oh, the Indonesia model is pricey. People say I'll never pay that for an Indonesia made guitar. The quality surpasses my U.S.A
Gibson and U.S.A. Fender. My P.R.S. is a S.E. another Indonesia built, and it's also better quality. Yes, I would love the Stranberg to be made in the U.S.A. But I'm telling you. Just check it out. Now ofcourse they have the Boden make made in Sweden. But that's very expensive. I'm telling you the quality is perfect even though it is Indonesia. Can't explain how much it is worth the price. How many hours has it taken for you to learn guitar. You deserve the best. In my humble opinion, it's the Boden.
It won't kill you to try. I'm an old man, but my mind is open.
Thank you, Ola. Thank you, good sir.
You get it. A lot of people choose a guitar with their eyes, but choosing with your fingers and back gets you the best instruments.
Ok! Idk what you think is affordable but $1000+ guitar is not my idea of affordable. Affordable is $400-600 and for some musicians(most musicians) this is even a stretch. Maybe up to $700 but that's it.
Dude makes a silly joke about "boomer guitars", like it's not well-known to anyone who's seen more than 2 of his videos that he's obsessed with LPs, and half the audience gets its panties in a bunch over it 😂 #Triggered
I'm buying one of these right now
Its so tiny, i am 6"7 and playing a strandberg feels like holding a toothpick.
Headless guitars to play the most complex music in existence. I played a headless carvin once. Amazing guitar
Bizzare? JoJo?
Got the Astro Red
How does it look in person? The photos look almost pink-ish but I'm wondering if that's just lighting or something

In case anyone was wondering what the crazy steel framed guitar is…it’s called a meloria and it was made in conjunction with a pro cyclist and ola strandberg. It’s fkn sick!
Literally Johnny Silverhand's guitar
Best Guitar Company on Earth 🌍
Even the cat was like "wtf is this?"
You b hooked!
0:25 those frets look like they were drawn in ms paint
Once you go Strand you can’t go bland.
Picked up a 7 standard and never looked back. Can't find myself wanting to play any other guitar usually.
I'm an Ibanez RG guy, but I did play a Strandberg at Guitar Center once, the weird neck shape was surprisingly playable.
That's why it's shaped like that
You said “gateway drug guitar” ….😂 brilliant
I plinked on 2 Strandbergs at a guitar store one day. Neither one of them was very good, both had really high action (bad in-store setup?). And no, I dont hate headless guitars. I've owned a USA Steinberger for over 20 years now.
Bro that guitar is expensive 🫰🫰 💰💰 🤑🤑 that legator, aristides, kiesel ,Felix Martin guitars I never been to namm but theres hellav alot more
This specific model (boden essential) is $999.00. Still it’s expensive, but not STUPIDLY expensive.
Strandberg prices ain't shit. Dudes will shell out way more than 1800 dollars for a PRS or Gibson any day. I'd say it's pretty reasonable really
Psssssss. So do they possibly offeŕ or would they offer a up step forward a clear see-through necķ an fingerboard??? That's or would be the ABSOLUTE PINNACLE PEAK OF PERFECTION AND WITH LEDS W/COLOR GELS THAT COULD AND MOST DEFINITELY WOULD BE ADDED ÌF IT BECOMES MINE!!
I like some headless but they become a trend, there will comeback to be just any other thing like they always where
Kitty-approved…
I love almost every part of .Strandberg* guitars except the lack of a headstock. Headless guitars are so god damn ugly but everything else about .Strandberg* is very appealing.
OMG!!!! THE CLEAR!!!! GOTTA HAVE IT!!!! WHAT IS THE PRICEY PRICE FOR THIS,.... MY DRUG OF CHOICE?? 2NDLY WHERE'S THE BEST PLACE TO GET????
"boomer classic"
Music business isn't like the tech business where newer = better. When you look at an iPhone, people use the few latest editions but rarely people use what was made 10 years ago.
Musical instruments on the other hand last for thousands of years and are always timeless. If Les Paul is a boomer guitar, then what do you call a harp or an Arabian Oud?
I hope I can change your mind on not calling the Les Paul that, theyre prized instruments.
I have this problem where I think bridge tuners look sick but headless guitars look stupid.
Why get the boden essential when you can just get the boden for saving for money for a few extra weeks? And you get the tempered frets and whammy bar
I played one of these at a gig.
I’ll be honest, it’s weird at first but once you get used to the frets it really is a magnificent sounding instrument
I love my strandberg. I usually like the brand, but god that fretboard looked absolutely horrendous.
You went from one boomer guitar to another boomer guitar. They have been making guitars for over 40 years...
Huh... It's missing just about every part I need for it to fit on my guitar stands...
Strandbergs are fucking PERFECT
I wish I could have that neck on every guitar I own, honestly
Nope for me. I dont like headless guitars and i dont like weird shaped guitars.
I own a strandberg NX 7. Took some getting used to, but it’s hard to pick anything else up nowadays. So innovative.
Even the cat was shocked
Timeless boomer classics like non-US Schecters, Ibanez, Jacksons, PRS SEs, that kind of timeless boomer stuff?
I think he means Gibsons
Classic boomer guitars..... room full of tube amps.
Nice kitty
Less guitar to swing at a persons head is a no no in my book
Edges of the fretboard look like absolute garbage tho
The BC Rich 10 string is wild, check it out
Me who'd be getting one to play hardcore or chug on the top strings like a weirdo for half of a 10 minute djent song:
If you ever get one, play Haken. All I ask of you
Don't get the essential the frets are never even
Own the Boden nx6 fusion and I love it. Under 5 lbs. So smooth to handle and play
If your guitar isn’t giving you neck and back problems you aren’t a real man! 😅 Just kidding. Would love to check one out.
Fook Me, that is strange looking guitar
Get EART and compare....
Man that distortion is crisp.
Why are les pauls so damn heavy
Buy these if you don’t like tone
Shame they are about $5000.
I heard that pray for rain riff 😎
Ele disse "Strinberg"??😅
Why no multiscale
The cat liked it ❤️😂
Sold my blue Made in USA Chris Letchford signature in 2016. I miss that thing. Regret selling it.
I need to try out one of these. I've always been one of those people who was the opposite of picky when it comes to guitars -- neck profile, shape etc, I never really cared! But generally have ended up playing "old skool" guitars as I've only owned a few guitars and they're pretty much all Fenders.
But with something SO alien like this I am genuinely curious how I'd react.
❤ that polaris riff
How did you even tune it?
I have one and love it
Honestly, I’m in my 20s and I think it’s so lame for you to talk of “ boomer” guitars. You can barely play.
Don't get your boomer panties in a bunch.
Drug guitar?
Polarisssss
>TFW I take a shot on guitars more expensive than agufish does, and I'm poor
I’m going with kiesel heard that the Jack in those guitars breaks after awhile
If you havent already check out solar guitars they do some well interesting things too lol
My local guitar store had a strandberg on consignment. It was matte maroon with a strat style body with white pick guard and humbuckers. The neck profile was the best aspect by far.
We just gonna ignore how it’s missing a headstock?
Check out the range of Ormsby Goliath’s if you like these!
Strandberg is wild the first time you play one.
I can't get used to headless guitares
I love the flat fretboard ❤
A real guitar review has a cat also doing a review . Good work
Pretty new to guitars, anybody care to explain how you tune a model like this? I've seen guitars that ditch the traditional design of tuners at the top of the neck in favor of placing them at the bottom of the body but I can't really see them anywhere at all one this one...
The bridge has the tuner mechanism built in. You'll see that the individual bridge saddles are a bit longer than usual with the end furthest from the neck hanging over the edge of the body. That's where the tuners are - they're like little knurled knobs as opposed to traditional tuner keys.
yeah its the same at the bottom on the front, they dont poke out that much on this guitar compared to some others i guess.
Lololooooool what the fuggg, reeeespect bro that's Lemmy style 💥🤘...Hoooly fickw shiiiif 😂
🙏🎸☯️🕉️
That giant rock on the room 💀💯💯💯
I’ll stick to headstocks for now. Part of playing guitar is how cool it looks to play one😂🤘🏽
🤢
Dude you are boring me
Get over it.
Is the essentiel good for metal music playing?
But how does it sound?
The neck is haram
