Tutorial: Sometimes doing nothing is the right thing to do. The Answer: deletes the bird You can wait for the timer thing to be gone. Just do nothing. This game will test your patience so be careful about doing something.
Always go to settings and check to see if there's streamer mode. I was watching y'all compliment the music and went, "Oh these poor gaming channel newborns... every other streamer would be like, "omg talk over the song, mute this, quick!" As a rule, if the song has lyrics, be careful or the copyright demon will strike.
As you can imagine, the story to these types of games get cut short the more characters you lose. So if you want to intentionally kill off characters go a head. But you might be confused story wise. And get much less play time. And this game is much harder than Detroit. Also the totems are just to give you hints. So you have a better idea of what to do or what not to do.
Don't try to make any decisions that you think viewers would like. We love that you're just yourselves, that's why we are here! But I hope you play the rest of the games by the developers of this! watching you guys play these type of games is so much fun, love the chaos and arguments lol

I swear I say it everytime randomly to my girlfriend. It’s not her name but she understands cause she watched me play the whole game (she doesn’t like games that make her make quick choices, it makes her anxious.)
As a recommendation, you don't necessarily have to choose a decision just because you think it suits the character you're playing, you mold the characters, you can turn them into something of your own. You can make the unlikeable likeable and viceversa, do whatever the hell u feel like doing if you think it's the right thing to do or say.

So far season one is complete, with four games: Man of Medan, Little Hope, House of Ashes, and Devil in Me, with the season two premier game, Directive 8020 hopefully coming out later this year. They also have another stand alone game like this called The Quarry. It has David Arquette in it! You guys would love them all, please give them a shot!

I've played them all multiple times and I never got the hate people give them, but everyone has different tastes. For what they are, I think they're a lot of fun. But I get after something like Until Dawn, they can be a bit of a let down. But I still liked them better than the Quarry as a whole. It disappointed both me and my husband on a few things, but all in all still a fun time and I think perfect for these guys
Mostly Dark Picture Anthology's "Butterfly effects" are bad. And for The Quarry, their choices are more simple. But for the story, Little Hope and Man of Medan story idea is not that bad, it has a mystery vibe. Sadly their executed on gameplay are poor. Until Dawn also have a lack, the story is really slow in the beginning. I got a little bored during my 1st watch to be honest.
Remember!!! Sometimes doing nothing is a valid choice! And search your surroundings constantly don't think you need to rush through a scene its very important to try and find as many clues as you can
Hey guys, really happy you are doing this game it's so good. 3 quick spoiler free tips: 1. Look around everywhere for clues and totems, they are easy to miss. 2. The game saves a detailed list of your clues, totems and choices and it is good to review these often. It helps to foresee the consequences of your actions. 3. The game hints at this but it is not very obvious: the characters all have 3 descriptors attached to them. You get the best results if you make the choices that the CHARACTER would make, not what you would make. Have fun. And enjoy.

Fun Fact: Depending on your choices in the therapist office, the chapter titles can be different. For example you guys got "#1. Friendship." When I played the chapter was called "#1. Momento Mori" Pretty cool details. :)
Totems, totems, totems. As first time players, totems will be the key to getting everyone out alive. Some choices may seem obviously good or bad, but it may result in the opposite if you pay attention to the totem hints. While many totems can be found on the main path, some require you to look around a bit. I suggest you guys review your totems before each play session. Also, collecting the totems helps solve the mystery of Until Dawn. When you press R1, in the totem section you can press triangle to play a video. Each totem you collect adds a new segment to the video.
So excited for you guys to check out this game! It was actually announced pretty recently that they’re gonna get a movie adaptation! As a friendly reminder, finding the totems doesn’t mean what you see is going to happen! They’re just showing a future that CAN happen, depending on your choices. The negative ones can even be helpful. Ie: you see a future where someone dies in a fire? Maybe be careful about making decisions that would result in a fire

Im legitimately not a Horror movie/Horror game fan personally but i legitimately love Until Dawn and i want Supermanssive Games to continue to make more of these. A playable Horror film is such a neat concept and i really like how this Game and its Spiritual Successor the Quarry have made a spark in the Horror game industry and the ability to play it blindly the first time and then playing it again knowing the twists to come makes it very interesting in its replay value
Picking up totems doesn't alter fate, it just gives you a glimpse into what may happen, as they say "Knowledge is power!" That said, seeing a potential future could lead one down the path to fulfilling it, so... maybe ignorance can be bliss.
Spoiler free hints, the timing of the choices are gonna get faster and faster and the ‘don’t move’ button is gonna get a way longer timing so focus on not missing those! Also, don’t messe with the nature hahaha
The white butterflies just means you changed the narrative of the story. Also, you can click R1 to look at your butterfly effects and clues to help you solve mysteries. Make you sure you really look around wherever you go to get more clues. Can't wait for part 2!
Pro tip for you guys. Make sure that you take the time to explore in this game to find clues. Certain clues that you find (or don't find) actually can change the ending of the game. :)

Until Dawn is great game looking forward to your playthrough, you should also play the "Dark pictures anthology: little hope" and "Man of Medan" both amazing games and I think you would have a great time playing it.

The photos you pic with the shrink guy will appear more in the game too. Example: picked that you're afraid of cockroaches = game puts in cockroaches 😅

The butterfly effect is always white, it's only the white totem that will show you something good, the effect itself just confirms you've changed the future. There is nothing remotely "good" or "lucky" about snooping on your friend's phone while he's away ;) Also, Matt isn't new to the group - he's a new boyfriend of Emily's. He was there with them last year, just not as her boyfriend; at the time, it was Mike.

My understanding is that this game, and the follow up The Quarry were supposed to be love letters to old 80s horror movies which is why they feel so much like them. This is one of my favorite games, excited to watch you play the rest of it.

When I saw the notification in the last RDR2 part that Until Dawn was ready to play, I didn't expect a video so soon! I love Supermassive Games and Until Dawn is one of my faves, let's go! 💪💚
It always cracks me up and appalls me when people drop Hannah rather than letting go - perhaps it's because I'm a twin myself so the idea of just dropping your twin to save yourself is unfathomable. Funny, though, seeing people realize that it didn't matter and Beth also drops no matter what you do.
Oak is usually so empathetic and etc, I was so surprised he just dropped the sister like dead weight xD I'm assuming he really didn't understand he was Lion King'ing her lol!

Late to the party, but excited to be here! As with all these story based games, especially when playing together, there might be a lot of tension. I'm really glad to see Mason figuring out immediately it was all a set up, and that the start of the game is what motivates the story. The illusion of choice. Going forward, choices will have consequences.
39:25 I sometimes forget these introduction character traits. Because the way Em talks does not make her sound intelligent in the slightest. "Why didn't the build this loud, unsightly, mode of transportation right next to the lovely, warm cottage with the amazing view?" Gosh, I wonder why. But I think that is a smart people's trait...complaining about everything so other people will take pity on you, and you have to do less because others pick up your supposed mess.
40:50 Matt is 100% not the new guy. Although I do like the angle, I would say Matt did possibly the most douchebaggy thing during the prank. Filming it. The entire pranks was a rotten move, and part of me think in light of things the video never made it out...but could you imagine if the sisters were fine and then Hannah had that video hanging over her early 20's? Anyway, getting off track. Matt ain't new, but it would have been a cool angle is it were.
Just gonna throw this in: for the totem’s lot of people forget but you can rewatch them in the menu section. Sometimes they show stuff fast you can revisit them. Also pay attention to the prompts.
BTW you can rewatch totems in the totem menu. And also there's the "events of the past" thingy which you can play by pressing triangle and the more of the movie unlocks as you collect totems. Oh and butterfly effects always flash white regardless if good or bad, that has nothing to do with the totems.
so the totems guide you in a POSSIBLE scenario.. you want to pick up as many as you can because they’ll guide you to make the right decisions.. if there’s a death or loss totem it just guides you to what could possibly happen, it’s not a guarantee

The makers of this game also did another full length game called The Quarry(which is so fun and plays on more horror tropes; Ted Raimi and Lance Henrikson are in it) and a series of shorter stories called the Dark Pictures Anthology, lots of cool spooky stuff
When I saw the notification in the last RDR2 part that Until Dawn was ready to play, I didn't expect a video so soon! I love Supermassive Games and Until Dawn is one of my faves, let's go! 💪💚
It always cracks me up and appalls me when people drop Hannah rather than letting go - perhaps it's because I'm a twin myself so the idea of just dropping your twin to save yourself is unfathomable. Funny, though, seeing people realize that it didn't matter and Beth also drops no matter what you do.
I would recommend also turning on the “side text” setting as well. Some things you find can be hard to read, and the side text solves that problem.👍🏻

Well it was either dropping her, or dropping the both of them. The other option was let go. There was no win in that scenario.

Late to the party, but excited to be here!
As with all these story based games, especially when playing together, there might be a lot of tension. I'm really glad to see Mason figuring out immediately it was all a set up, and that the start of the game is what motivates the story.

39:25 I sometimes forget these introduction character traits. Because the way Em talks does not make her sound intelligent in the slightest. "Why didn't the build this loud, unsightly, mode of transportation right next to the lovely, warm cottage with the amazing view?" Gosh, I wonder why.
But I think that is a smart people's trait...complaining about everything so other people will take pity on you, and you have to do less because others pick up your supposed mess.
40:50 Matt is 100% not the new guy. Although I do like the angle, I would say Matt did possibly the most douchebaggy thing during the prank. Filming it. The entire pranks was a rotten move, and part of me think in light of things the video never made it out...but could you imagine if the sisters were fine and then Hannah had that video hanging over her early 20's?
Anyway, getting off track. Matt ain't new, but it would have been a cool angle is it were.

Just gonna throw this in: for the totem’s lot of people forget but you can rewatch them in the menu section. Sometimes they show stuff fast you can revisit them.
Also pay attention to the prompts.

BTW you can rewatch totems in the totem menu. And also there's the "events of the past" thingy which you can play by pressing triangle and the more of the movie unlocks as you collect totems.
Oh and butterfly effects always flash white regardless if good or bad, that has nothing to do with the totems.

Other people had Super Mario Brothers, Silent Hill, Batman Arkham Asylum. I had Until Dawn. Changed my life.
I would check out the other games that “supermassive games” have made. They are fantastic and all have some thrilling/horror elements to them!
so the totems guide you in a POSSIBLE scenario.. you want to pick up as many as you can because they’ll guide you to make the right decisions.. if there’s a death or loss totem it just guides you to what could possibly happen, it’s not a guarantee
