They are all very beautiful pages as usual, Shel! I wouldn’t be able to pick out just one favorite either. I think your three would be my three as well. Thank you for sharing your pages with me! 💕
Thank you so much for sharing all of your pages they are beautiful!!! I so enjoy seeing your pages and how you do them!!! I also enjoy your color alongs!!!! Have a wonderful week….
Beautiful coloring pages and wips Shelly 🙂 Love your work. Hope you had a good time in the Lake District; its so beautiful there. Love your purple moon; it really works well with your berries. Have a good month coloring 🙂
Thank you so much! Yes, the Lake District is breathtaking! Definitely worth going there a few times.....it is such a large area that it will take a while to see it all!! 🤗💗
Your completed pages were absolutely stunning, your favorite pages were my favorites as well, I could not choose between them because they are both breathtaking. The Rita Berman page is gorgeous as well, I am going to follow that color along in the future, I never used my Albrecht Durer pencils yet and I love your page, it would be my first colored page in that book too. I wish you lots of joy coloring this month and have a really nice weekend dear Shell 🥰💜
Really enjoy the way you shade your pages. It's hard to pick a favorite, my favorite is your shading and color choices lol! That Europa page with the pigeons turned out so cute! I was considering coloring that one this month myself, and seeing it done here has inspired me! I saw your berry video, and I knew it'd be amazing finished, but holy cow. I love it!! Looks great and would look so cute framed on the wall in the kitchen I think!
Thank you so much, so glad you like my colouring!! I wish I had the heart to take pages out of my books haha I would definitely like to display some 🤗💗
Lovely work as always! So glad to see there are other slow working colourists. Sometimes I can only manage 4 pages a month! You have given me some great ideas.
Thank you very much, your work is gorgeous! I believe I once saw a youtube video of someone who used alcohol markers but before starting, she used gesso on the page, so it wouldn't bleed through. Thanx again!
Good Morning, Shel! I always enjoy and appreciate your colored pictures. These are Absolutely Gorgeous! Thank You very much for Sharing 💜😊 Have a Wonderful Weekend!💜🍁🍂😊
I've been on a kick of coloring the title pages in my Mythographic books. I started with one because I wanted to test out my new marker set without risking a full page if things went bad.. and just kept on going since I realized I hadn't colored any of them previously. I'm on my fourth book (I own eight or nine Mythographics). I've been switching out the pencils I use over the top which keeps things fresh and interesting. I discovered I adore my Chromaflows for detailed pages (and Faber Castell Goldfaber pencils make an excellent companion to them for "missing" colors I wish I had in the 72 Chromaflow.. a mid cool grey and some more earth greens for example...the two pencils are extremely similar in size and function, I'm going to combine the two full sets I think), they are a very thin core and it's so nice and easy to blend in small spaces. It seems like all the brands are going thicker and thicker in core size, the Chromaflows definitely fill a gap in the market. They got two full pages alone. Then I pulled out my Polychromos/Brutfuner macaron set for the first time in a year and did a full page with those (I also wound up reswatching them which was a project in itself). I regret nothing about combining those two they make such a great set. I'm about to do the next with my combo Arteza expert/Castle Pastel tint set and give it a good workout/evaluation. I find the title pages quite challenging because there is a collection of very different elements from a bunch of pages across the book collaged into that title page, yet they are all rather small on their own so I haven't gotten bored. Trying to tie the different images together so they make a cohesive whole is challenging as well, the markers really help with that because I can consciously reuse base colors across the page and plot it all out at the beginning. I haven't bothered with a background after the first page.. the text is in there for one thing, but also I just don't find it necessary.. a bit of color around some elements like water or sky is plenty to give the impression. I actually like the vignette style and find full backgrounds can sometimes be heavy or overwhelming, not to mention a ton of work when I could be coloring things that are more fun and engaging. Don't let backgrounds stop you from doing pages you would otherwise enjoy. The "background police" will not come and get you, promise.
Yes, the myth-graphics are my favourite books for sure!! I will try and make sure the backgrounds don't get the better of me....and thanks for all your tips as always 🤗💗
Seeing how vibrant your pages are makes me want to try my Tombow brush markers on my pages but I'm scared! How do you keep the pens from leaving streaks on the pages? I would really appreciate any tips! Do any of your videos show how you use them on pages? Love to know. Thanks for sharing your work!!
Thank you for your comment! I do have an earlier video on how I use Tombows on my colouring pages: ua-cam.com/video/hr3PgAA340A/v-deo.htmlsi=3eCGbIcARqV4vk2d See if that helps. With regards to streaking, water based markers will always stream unfortunately, unlike alcohol markers which don’t. I would not normally use them for large areas, unless I will be going over the Tombow base with pencils so mask the streaming. In small areas it should work well though. Hope this helps a little 🤗💗
Beautiful coloring pages. Your last page is stunning and the book looks great. Thanks for sharing ❤
