Hello. I have worked with android phone hacking for some time and I am here to say that the linux boot logo has nothing to do with the kernel. Indeed, android is based on Linux and some Linux systems (especially Gentoo Linux) show Tux (the name of the linux penguin) on startup on the TOP LEFT corner of the screen. However most Android phones nowadays have that function disabled by default in the kernel. You can enable it but you have to rebuild and install the modified kernel. This penguin is actually generated by the bootloader of Qualcomm devices called LK. LK by default has the Linux logo on startup in the center of the screen but manufacturers replace it by including a "logo" partition on the SSD. If that partition is erased or deleted it shows that logo again. However if it's stuck, it is likely that some important system files or partitions have been unfortunately deleted and the phone needs to be put in fastboot mode, ODIN download mode (samsung) or in the worst case scenario, EDL mode, which is what manufacturers use when flashing the firmware. I hope this helped. TL;DR: this image is NOT generated by the kernel, but it is generated by the bootloader when the logo is deleted.
@@incogninto1-1 can you clarify "LK" partition? Because LK(Little kernel) or bootloader is usually found in Mediatek devices. I never actually rooted a Qualcomm device, or just browsed around its partitions, but if you could explain i would be grateful.
@idkwhatwritehere000 LK in Qualcomm devices is usually called ABoot (stands for Android Boot loader). It is usually stored in the partition labelled ABoot. I believe that around 2019 or 2020 Qualcomm switched to using EDK-2 for their chipsets. However some devices (especially budget ones or ones that use older chipsets) still use LK to boot up the system. It is p much a very small operating system running a set of programs that contain stuff like fastboot, the kernel verification and the payload to load and boot up the kernel. Fun fact: there is also a 2nd stage bootloader that some phone modding enthusiasts use for Qualcomm devices called LK2nd. It is basically a custom version of ABoot that you can use to make Linux run better on them (postmarketOS) MediaTek also used LK since 2013 with the MT6572. Before that, they used the open source U-Boot bootloader that is now used in some Allwinner devices.
Short explanation for black screen Penguin ate literally everything on your phone Short explanation for white screen Penguin did not eat anything on your phone. You have time to fix it
you know, i may be a nerd, but i just hate how innacurate this is. the penguin tux is a place holder for a logo, if logo.bin is missing. just try boot into fastboot, if that fails use the EDL mode or smth. stop saying some bullshit about kernel panic when it has nothing to do with it.
When a device gets bricked, it generally means it can no longer start up properly or operate normally. In some cases, it's fixable with advanced methods like flashing new firmware or using recovery tools. But if the brick is severe, it may require professional repair or, in the worst case, replacement. Thanks for watching!

Hi! Actually, installing an Android bootloader on an iPhone isn’t possible. iPhones run on a completely different system (iOS) and have a proprietary bootloader that’s highly secure. Apple’s architecture doesn’t allow custom or third-party bootloaders like Android’s to be installed, even on jailbroken devices. Android bootloaders are specifically designed for Android devices, so they wouldn’t work on iPhones. Hope this clears things up!
On Android’s kernel panic (or kernel oops), commonly referred to as the "Android kill screen," a few specific Tux penguin icons can appear depending on the kernel configuration. These icons represent various CPU cores, and there are usually different appearances based on the core's status or load. Some common Tux logos that you might see include: 1. Single Tux: The default Tux logo, often used for single-core systems or the primary core in multi-core systems. 2. Miniature Tux Icons (Multiple Tuxes): In multi-core setups, you might see several tiny Tux logos, each representing an individual core in the CPU. They can vary in size and position. 3. Color Variants: In some cases, you may notice different colors or styles for each Tux to distinguish between cores. 4. Distorted/Pixelated Tux: This can sometimes appear due to graphic glitches or errors in the framebuffer during a crash, resulting in a "corrupted" Tux.
