There's also the irony that he might have drowned in all that water considering the splash sound. After all, would people having to deal with a drought really be able to handle suddenly falling into deep water?
This guy was probably the toughest boss in the entire game. All bosses until then had been pretty easy to beat, and suddenly there's Castor ignoring your shields like a walking siege engine. "YOU HAVE MY AXE." *SLAM*
I kinda suspected Dromed wouldn't be the baddy just for the simple fact that they already did that plot in the prologue with the Monk Asterisk dude and I didn't think it would repeat again. That said, I was also taken off guard by Castor.
Eh tbf, it was Water that would've saved his country. But he really should've just collaborated without the Crystal. It is what it is though. He made alot of mistakes so he had to pay up eventually.
@@Flamelance_Accendo The scary thing though? Most people don't really know how valuable fresh water truly is, and how much chaos would ensue if it ever became a scarce resource. He really was blinded by his devotion and the fear of seeing his own country's destruction from the droughts that plagued their land. He was tempted by the power of the crystals, and look what it lead to in the end for himself and his own father.
Nice to see the Thief class being used against Castor, kind of getting vengeance for Bernard (on behalf of Anihal) . On the side note, I do like how Castor gave a bit of foreshadowing with his movesets as a party member. He can use both defensive debuff as skills, two attacks that only a Berserker can use.

Damn... Castor may not be "Prince Charming", but he knows enough to act that way to fool everyone, both the characters AND the player. Also, that... Brings up an interesting question. How many Asterisk wielders were decent people before they turned them into Saturday Morning Cartoon villains. I mean maybe it is just Castor because he was wielding an asterisk that IMPLORES acting on rash impulses, but still it is actually interesting to think about.
It's hard to tell... mostly because they really captured Castor going berserk well. It really sounds like he's losing his mind as he acts on his rash impulses and it's hard to tell how much is his own frustration of how his country is and how much is the asterisk possibly amplifying said frustration to levels that just sounds... pitiful.

Okay Omega that title is pretty clever. Props to you! Also I *love* how Rotsac's boss theme is just a twisted version of the theme I mentioned in the last part with the keyboards going straight into overdrive! Revo's really going all out with this soundtrack!
Castor: "We need to steal the water crystal to bring water to our land" Pollux: "Can't we just use international trade to bring water to our land?" Castor: ". . ."
Given what we saw with the ruins and the droughts that plagued them, those trades might not have been enough to fully sustain the entirety of kingdom of savalon in the long run. Let alone allow them to continue with growing crops and everything if water is basically next to nothing. Droughts make things even more difficult on both land and the people who live there. If no means to grow more food then supplies would be devoted to those selected, same with the water supply they may have.
Their Jail system Is the worst Annihal (either was thrown into a jail or not) Summon a bird and somehow it able to get the jail, and it somehow able to get the key that possibly on a guard, and she able to sneak to them And just to remember that they didn't have A Guard to guarding the cell, Let alone a patrol XD
Let's not forget there was a guard on the path to the jail cells, and he just goes "Er...I don't remember you guys allowed to come out...what???" Salavon's guards are just the best 😂
I thought he was a swordmaster or something from previous games, like the long robe, and either eventually we'd fight in a spar ( like martha) or he'd just give us it as a thank you. Definitely did not expect "I'm a total A**hole who is a murderer"
I know that reversing the names of spoiler bosses is kind of your thing (Uaebasi, Noskcid, etc.), but Rotsac... I think the prince should see a doctor about that.

Unlike people who uploaded this fight at launchday Omega had the sense to not put the spoiler name in the title. Respect
This was really sad, and the voice acting took it to the next level. This game has beyond exceptional voice acting.

Tales of Phantasia doesn’t do that. Cress gets thrown into a dungeon, and the guards are thoughtful enough to remove all his equipment.
