I am in Australia and I could use that chuck as I find it a bit messy changing bits and I have limited hand gripping ive learnt a lot from your videos some are really testing thanks
The front of your Dremel has a build in tightening tool, just loosen the plastic in the front and use it to tighten the tip. Don’t need to use the wrench at all.
Hey I know it's been 5 years since you posted this video but that keyless chocolates pretty interesting I'd love to have one kind of new to the whole Dremel thing
You do realise (I hope) that on the Dremel 3000 (so I expect on the 4000 too) the nose piece is actually a "spanner" for the collet chuck? Simply unscrew the nose piece and move it onto the flats of the chuck (where the metal insert in the nose piece is) and THAT is your spanner! Always with your Dremel. You still need a screwdriver to attach/detach disks etc from the arbor but any screwdriver can do that. I always use my tiny Swiss Army knife that I always have in my pocket. Hope that proves useful.
I've got several Dremel Tools for my Lapidary work. They've all lost the use of the Release Button, needed to unlock the bits. Would the Quick Release Chuck solve my problems? I'd love getting back to work on my rocks! My Chicago's Moto Tool has the same issue. Any Advice would be greatly appreciated. They are American Companies... God Bless.
No it won't solve your problem. But with a working pin it will be easier on your Dremel. You need to open up your dremel's plastic housing and see what's going on with the pin. Also remember that those aren't meant to stop the Dremel while spinning.
I bought one of those for my cheap Wen but sadly the threading didn't fit. I don't use my rotary tool often and have been happy with the Wen but not having that keyless chuck fit was a buzzkill.
I a n was dreme l fanatic. Originally not looking for a dremel. I needed something small portable light easy to use for grinding buffing and polishing a antique brass chandelier . I found an engraver in a store. It was small enough to fit in the many many intricate grooves and designs that gathered stuck caked or caked on black dust or dirt. Then I found the dreme l r rotary tool. It had a million attachments...I was h o.oked... I use it for sO many things now... A keyless chuck would be great addition to my mounting accessories collection. I can send you my address if you are still offering to g I've if away.
As soon as this rotary tool series is complete I will have LOTS of items to send to my subscribers. Going to give away all the generic rotary tools and many accessories. BTW..... to have a chance to win you must be a subscriber.
I seen this in the accessory section next to the actual dremel i purchased both. I didn't know they had this chuck available and if i did i wouldn't of bothered with that craftsmans dremel i thought i was saving money on and using for years. Those collets are garbage because they don't balance right ad it shows in high osculation material removal. You know your collets suck when you turn your dremel tool on high and see a double vision version of whatever bit you're using. This chuck is working though and although it isn't perfectly balanced it's way way better than a collet. I wouldn't just you finger tightening when using it though. Mine came lose when using the chuck because it didn't tighten it enough. Finger tight wont do it.
It's not keyless! You ought to use a 3/8 wrench and throw away the one provided and tighten the chuck otherwise you may have a carbide bit fly off at 35000 RPM and that's not good. Also those chucks won't fit on a flex shaft w/o modification to the end of the flex shaft.
I disagree. These chucks are designed to not have to use a key (wrench) to tighten the bits. In over 20 years of using this 'keyless chuck" IU have never had an issue of a bit coming out or slipping. Also, my flexshaft (Dremel) will hold this chuck with no issues Thanks for watching.
Great. Hand me one of those nuts next time you see me. Unfortunately, since neither of us attend many GWA functions, you may be carrying it a while, LOL.
I just ordered a few more and will put one in each car when they arrive. Lately I seem to forget things so dont be shy to remind me. Love your channel Mike, you put a lot of work into it.
Still no sound apart from the music at start and end. The problem seems to be that the left sound channel is not working on my earphones but testing with another set your commentary is only on the left channel. Hence I don't hear it. The music, however is on both channels.
Thanks for the heads up, will work on the problem on my end. After rendering I usually use a software that condenses the file and saves as stereo. In the last couple vids I have not used the software.but will have to return to it from now on. You, my friend, deserve one of my free chucks. Please send me a message to my email and when the new batch comes in it will be sent. Apologies for the frustration.

You're 100% right sir. This is the best accessory. Thank you! It makes using a dremel easier.

I thought I was missing a square-head nut to our Dremel - and thanks to you we have a solution. Thank you for the info!
i brought one from ebay 4.99 didint fit my dremel or other
so i had to put a collet in first for it to fit
What's the thinnest and thickest shank that'll fit the keyless chuck?
Just found out from product description - Accepts all accessory bits with 1/32 In. to 1/8 In. shanks
Greetings from Tulsa Oklahoma,
I barely could hear you. Can you please type the name of this "must have" part under description? Thank you! Brigitte
Multi Chuck....most home improvement stores that sell Dremel will have these.
Thanks for watching.
@@ScrollsawVideo Thank you for quick reply!
The best part was at the end when you said " say goodbye to these nuts"! Keep up the good work Buddy...
Will dremel fit bits with diameter of 1/4" up to 3/8"?
Thanks.
No, only i/8 and smaller. You do have other options for a rotery tool though, like the Ryobi.
@@ScrollsawVideo Could you have a converter to add on the shaft of the dremel to install a bigger drill bit?

Hello,
Can you do a video on how to use the Dremel Sanding Grinding Guide Attachment?
Thanks, Larry.
I sure will.
Please sub hot hit the bell so you will now when it gets uploaded.
Can I use it on Dremel 201?
It should fit on that model.
Thanks for the tip, I did not know Dremel had these. I will be visiting Home Depot for mine.

Yes, but I very rarely remember to use it.

Will this work for the hyper tough rotary tool?
I would like to know as well

I just got my Dremel 4000. I would love to get one of those chucks.

Thank you so much for this info. And for keeping it simple! 😊

I haven’t used it with a wrench or key before. The old cap solution is working fine for me.

These are easily purchased on Ebay, let us know how you like it.
@@ScrollsawVideo so ur no longer giving away abjryless chuck as stated in your video?
Good as far as it goes, but it is too small to hold half of my porential accessory tools.
Those off brand keyless chucks come in two sizes, 7mm and 8mm. The Chicago Electric probably needs the 8mm one.
I just got one that I ordered .. wish I knew that prior to placing my order... 😢😂
Good video what I would like to know is will that fit the 200 series and yes I am asking may I please have one👍🏼
Yes, they will fit all modern Dremels.
I will be having a give away for several Dremel accessories. You have to be a subscriber to the channel to win.

Not a fan of the 3 jaw nut. I find the click and cap much more reliable. It’s a personal preference and habit I guess.
