  • Never tried to record close up solder jobs, it came out great! Soldering a Castle's 1512 1800kv motor fully. Bare wires and bullets get installed on the motor in one clean job well done. I am happy to show you how I solder regularly.

      @@InnovationRC I'm curious, did that motor that you put those leads on come that way? What if a motor already has leads (wiring) on it, how do you go about removing them?
      Basically my current motor has the wiring facing the other way and I want them to face the way you did on this motor.

    I had one of my leads get ripped off and it also took off the gold plating. Now when i try to solder the wire back on to the copper plate, it will not stick at all. Been trying for so long and even took to someone and they couldnt get it either. Any tips for how i can get it to stick? Is it going to be the flux that makes it stick? Thanks!

    • @InnovationRC
      @InnovationRC  2 роки тому

      That's unfortunate. Maybe try adding flux and attempt to re-tin the tab. If not wire brush on a Dremel to rough it up hopefully it'll work after tinning that.

  • @DC_Cha_Cha_Cha
    @DC_Cha_Cha_Cha 4 роки тому +1

    Does it make a difference if you wire direct from motor to ESC, or use bullets to connect two wires together? From a practical point of view it’s better as it’s easier to swap motors out etc. I assume any performance difference is minimal, if at all. I am about to solder mine, and would prefer bullets so it’s easier to take motor out for maintenance, etc

    • @InnovationRC
      @InnovationRC  4 роки тому +1

      Not much of a difference if your soldering is good. Pick your poison

  • @Spacecadet0730
    @Spacecadet0730 4 роки тому +1

    Super satisfying. I had a question however, I have been searching around and can't find the answer. I have a motor, the Turnigy XK3650-3650 sensored, and the terminals on the motor are these circles/pcb board. How do I solder to that? Is it just a female bullet connector in there and cover everything in solder?

    • @InnovationRC
      @InnovationRC  4 роки тому +1

      Likely you have to stick the wire through and solder on the flat spot of the solder board. I will say it's tricky. Be sure to lightly tin the wire and have something hold the motor in place while you carefully do that solder job
