- In our last video, we were so scared we wouldn't make it as we struggled with hot battery and turtle mode. The turtle protected us and we made it to Vegas in time for our meetup! There were 18 Mach-E's out there at one point and it was such a great time! Big thanks to Cory Medina at Team Ford Lincoln (702-969-4499) for setting it all up! Then we begin our journey to San Diego!

I love the call-outs for spoon theory and IT Crowd.
Really enjoyed the meet-up in Vegas seeing all the different colors and the variety of people who have bought them. Always a warm and friendly crowd when Liv is in the mix. Thanks for sharing.
Funny. That charging station is 1 mile from my office. They just replaced all of them with the new versions. 350kWa. I use this one often.
There is also one at Eddie’s world. We stopped there to get drinks on the way to my parents house in big bear.

I live in NYC, but there are so many EV road trip videos between Las Vegas and Southern California that I feel like I know everything there is to know about traveling on Interstate 15 in an EV. 😂

Another great video. I don't think people in the east coast really understand just how vast and open the western US really is. Now, to cover a lot of this with solar and batteries and reduce our dependency on hydrocarbons. Plus, about 10 times the amount of DC fast charging to meet the demand. Thanks for sharing and all you do for the community.
Seeing all these Mach Es together makes me really look forward to the Bay Area/NorCal install meet.

When I reserved a hotel, they assigned me a level 2 charger for my complete stay.
Regarding overnight/long term charging, if its a fast AC destination charger then its a parking space with charging and rapid DC charger is a charging space only. (This can of course be modified by whoever owns the space with appropriate signs)

Agreed that Whisper mode is best for BlueCruise. Based on your comments I experimented today and the difference is very noticeable in heavy traffic. Much more pleasant and confidence-inspiring than Engage or Unbridled

Hey Guys I take the trip from Vegas to California all the time and always skip the Hesperia stop. Chargers do not work well and a lot of Icing as well. Barstow or Baker are good stops to always consider. Looks like you guys had a good time and I was in Michigan when you guys stopped in Vegas so sorry I missed you.
And as far as the leaving the stations clean, I wish more people did. I actually keep a small trash can in the frunk (have a ‘21 so dividers in) for all my trash. It’s really not that hard but I wish we had that frunk button in the app already.
I’ve been following your vlog for a long time. Lately your having battery Temp issues while charging. Just a thought has Ford checked it out you might have a faulty pump that recirculated water Thru the battery. I never got a temp warning on my model X but I did get a service vehicle and that was the issue for me.
What’s the app you’re using to monitor battery temperature?

HI, As newbie to EV's and the MACH E (Delivery of mine expected in jan 2023) I was interested in the app you were using to monitor the charging and Batt temp is this something in the ford pass app or something seperate....loved my test drive in the 'stang cant wait now

I notice you guys don’t use Apple Maps for EV routing. What are your thoughts on it? Is Ford’s EV routing better?
Do you notice any standing losses when unplugged, for like a week and not driven?
No, that's not an issue with the Mach-E, that typically happens with electric vehicles that do not have a power button (Rivian, Tesla) so they stay at an elevated power state so they can power on as you approach. Alex on Autos (or EV Buyers Guide) did a test with the F-150 Lightning where there was no notable change after a couple weeks, the results are likely similar with the Mach-E since they are so closely related and share components and software.
Anecdotally I have gone 3 weeks without using or changing my Mach-E without issue and no notable drop in charge.
@@LeesChannel Thank you! I have a Focus electric now and I have left it for 5 weeks unplugged in the sun and lost zero miles. My 2020 Model 3 would loses 20 miles of range when parked in the sun in the summer while at work for 10 hours. Glad to know the Mach e is like my Focus electric. Thanks again!
As Lee's Channel said, the Mach-E loses very little energy when unplugged. From what I've seen, it's less than one percent per week.

Where can I get the app that you’re using to check the battery temperature in output
And what ODBII connector are you using?
I don’t have one what type of ODBll do I need to make this device work
So your comment about the Chevy Bolt being on a 150 charger when it can only take 50 kilowatts. First of all what do you expect them to do? Only charge on 50 KW Chargers? I have not seen Electrify America charging station with anything less than 150 kilowatts. If a charger is open I say anybody can grab it no matter what their car takes. They may not even realize that their car isn't capable of taking more. But like I said there's not a whole lot of 50 kilowatt Chargers around it and I don't know of any electrify America changers that are less then 150 KWH . And what are you going to do drive around looking for a 50 kilowatt? Just so you're not tying up something that is bigger? No people got to charge their car you just charge and go. I have a 2022 Mustang Mach e select. I charge on a 350 KW charger even though it's not going to really make a difference. If that's all that's available I'm charging on it. I'm not going to wait for 150 to become available. It's a first come first serve when it comes to battery chargers.
Think they said it was using a 350kw charger. I don’t mind or care if someone is using a 350 if that’s the only one available. But I hate seeing slow charging EVs hopping on the fastest chargers when the other 150s are open and working.
They were using one of two 350kw chargers when there were several 150kw chargers available. Even EA sees this as a problem and is relabeling their chargers to try to help with three issue. It's just common courtesy to not take more than you need.
