Not exactly budget. The bike costs $2000 itself + the $1000 dollars worth of upgrades. I've been in the DIY ebike world for about a year now, there is some controversy with UPP batteries and this definitely could be done for cheaper. I built a 72v 45a (3700w full charge theoretically if it had full efficiency) electric bmx bike for $1300 for everything and it probably could keep up with this. If anyone is reading this I think the better move for 3k is to buy a Talaria XXX and just not comply. Pedals or not, if they see you mobbing at highspeed they would probably still impound this.
I think that is a good point for having more power besides going fast. I totally agree it's A LOT easier to drive when you have power in your pocket so to speak. Especially going in traffic where the traffic motion is jerky. But also having power in the winter is a must too but for other reasons.
Yea, ive been browsing these vids for 3 hours now and I just kind of want to drop cash and walk away. everyone though talks about modding modding working and interchanging, which on my only afternoon off on Sunday, not looking forward to do. trying to my personal car fixed as it is.

All of the e-Bikes on the yadea website are close to or over $2,000. So by the time you add this upgrade, you are around $3,000. No Thanks. Just get a mini bike or motorcycle. The research I did shows all of these e-bike companies are all getting their bikes from the same few manufacturers, and just seriously inflating the prices. They are ALL the same bikes with a few minor differences. If you want to stay electric, and still go fast, take a cheap walmart bike and add this to it. Make sure to change out the tires to be able to handle the speeds.
Isn't the term "build" usually used and associated with upgrading. That's why there's a saying "built not bought" or something like that... At least from what I've heard in the car community. Basically saying you upgraded (built/build) your car instead of buying a car from factory that's already fast.
So did the upgraded parts fully get rid of the original battery and motor? Been wanting an ebike but more for camping and foing offroad (dont want. Motorcycle or a motorcycle card) but want the power and flexibility. Wondering if it's cheaper to build a bike from scratch or buy one to mod
544 and 538 is over 1000 , plus the cost of shipping. Not a 1000 dollar build, this is over a thousand dollars. The way you were speaking, you make it sounds as if this was an under 1000 dollar build. Love your content , but that is a little misleading. Especially if you are doing research and haven't bought a bike yet.
I have a question. I don't really know any place to have this done, so it is necessary to re-lace the motor with stronger spokes or do are the spokes that come with it already strong enough?
It's a "build" aka upgrading, the term is associated with upgrading... That's why there's a saying "built not bought, at least in the car community. Basically saying you upgraded (built/build) your car instead of buying a car from factory that's already fast. Which in this case fits perfectly with that definition.

I’ve got a bit of soldering experience but I don’t know that I quite trust myself to build a pack. Any advice for battery building?
Cheers
@@standeman32 stick with similar cells, make sure to charge each individual cell within .01v of each other and absolutely use a bms. I've seen people build packs with no bms and use a balance charger which can work but with no current protection you have a fire waiting to happen. I used salvaged cells in my bike and it took 315 to make my pack
Next year when i got my life in order I', flying to LA and riding something over that bridge. Who's down. Hope everyone chases their dreams and gets what they want
$1000 build? The bike is $2200 off of amazon. If you added 1k in mods then its a $3000 build. Don't lie to the fans bro.
i think he means the upgrade is 1K
Are you mental? He said build. He didnt build the bike, he built the upgrade, dumsht. He's refering to the upgrade.
There's always Alibaba
I literally custom build one and it cost more
There’s a new upgraded version of this bike that you can buy, and just do the same thing. It’s only 900 bucks.
thinking about putting that hub kit on my ridstar q20. whats the worst that could happen lol
Lacing the rim is the hardest part. but you can find kits with the rim included.
You are right about competing with traffic. Keeping up is safer. But you all need licences and insurance so that everybody else will be safe also. Fast E-bikes should be regulated exactly in the same manner as motorcycles, despite their shortcomings out of town.
Man, Bro, you got to be the coolest kid to chill and hang out with. God Bless you Brother!💯🙏
I’m pretty sure he is 24-25 so he’s an adult
something ive started riding around my city ( on/near bike paths) is an upgraded rsf650 razor but the one time i got pulled over i just showed them it on amazon told them i upgraded the battery so i could put lights on it, get to work, and gave it a new paint job
would love to see an even more "sleeper" build on something foldable like a letcric xp 3.0 !
As he stated the bike needs to be built properly and have good construction and be robust enough to take the power
5:39 Why not choosing a kit that has 12V lights cable coming from the controller? That would have saved him from installing a step down converter. Or it's uncommon maybe?
I want one of these I love the look of the bike and with this speed upgrade and gas prices being ridiculous this would be the perfect spring to fall work commuter
Hey Surronster, I've been watching your videos for about two years now, and this is the one I've watched the most! I was wondering if you could make more videos about converting a mountain bike into an electric one, like a 5kW setup or something similar. Love your content, bro!
^^^^^
Don't forget he relaced the rims.. And did other work to the bike for free😂😂😂 .. He never gave you the amazon link because it's all lies😂😂
I think that is a good point for having more power besides going fast. I totally agree it's A LOT easier to drive when you have power in your pocket so to speak.
Especially going in traffic where the traffic motion is jerky. But also having power in the winter is a must too but for other reasons.
Good video! MrCentralDriver-type DIY ebike upgrade videos are some of the best in YT
yeeeeee
This is the good part of the internet that one can order a bike. This is so badass !
Yea, ive been browsing these vids for 3 hours now and I just kind of want to drop cash and walk away. everyone though talks about modding modding working and interchanging, which on my only afternoon off on Sunday, not looking forward to do. trying to my personal car fixed as it is.
Keep making videos about stuff people can afford!
Hey Ronster what sort of bike is the Grey one right behind you at 0:21
A bike
Bro this bike isn't 1k but it is 2k
Plus the kit making it as much as a talaria
Dude, im having a horrible night and got covid yesterday. Watching your amazing videos make my day so much better man. Keep going im waiting for 2M Subs!
its not a $1000 setup when the bike alone is 2k
No fucking way what a scam
Dang it got excited
Dude this video was a year ago
@@VoidzYT1the bike is on sale right now but the original price is still over $2k lol
can i ask what is happening to the honda buggy and what happened to the arctic leopard because it looked like that bike had a lot of potential
Went straight to the site because I'm looking for a $1000 Ebike like this, and it's over $2000 😞
In my country that exact ebike cost $900

I like how sometimes the GoPro makes it look like you got baby hands like at 4:46
All of the e-Bikes on the yadea website are close to or over $2,000.
1.54 Can't you just switch the pipes around since both brakes are hydraulic?
Amazon sells it for $2,199
He worded the title funny, so it was confusing for many people.
@@dariuslavy3913no he lied
@dariuslavy3913 Everything about this video as a lie dude.. Don't be stupid
Isn't the term "build" usually used and associated with upgrading. That's why there's a saying "built not bought" or something like that...
At least from what I've heard in the car community.
Basically saying you upgraded (built/build) your car instead of buying a car from factory that's already fast.
What size spokes do I upgrade to for the 3000 watt motor and you think stock rim with no tourqe arm is ok
$2000 ebike with a $1000+ upgrade kit added, bit of a misleading title for a $3000 "sleeper" bike.
Especially if you are doing research and haven't bought a bike yet.
since my super 73 is a 20 inch rim bike, couldn’t i do the same thing with it?
Bike starts at $1,899
I have a question. I don't really know any place to have this done, so it is necessary to re-lace the motor with stronger spokes or do are the spokes that come with it already strong enough?
It’s 2k for the bike it’s self it’s not under 1k
It's a "build" aka upgrading, the term is associated with upgrading... That's why there's a saying "built not bought, at least in the car community. Basically saying you upgraded (built/build) your car instead of buying a car from factory that's already fast. Which in this case fits perfectly with that definition.
could you do a budget build on the ENGWE M20
welp, not 1,000, but $2,000
@Sur Ronster can you buy and build a budget friendly mini moto? im wanting to get one, thanks and great content
Not really a $1,000 build when the base bike costs $2,300 plus tax.
That part
I think if u get the cheapest ebike and then spend $1000 on amazon this maybe worth it than a motorcycle

The build is $1000 he never said the whole bike and build was $1000
I am looking for a commuter ebike, something that can go 35 miles in one direction. Any idea of the max range on this build. Speed is nice and all, I'm looking for more range than higher mph. It would be nice though, especially at a cheaper price tag.😊
Bike is now $2k. No longer worth it.
Loll😂
Hello! Are you able to do a review on the Titan Rider F80 E-Dirt bike? I can't seem to find any video's of it. Thanks!
That bike is 2000$ tho not 1000$
That's super cheap 🙄
Did you upgrade the controller for this build if so what controller did you use?
This bike is 2k
My dad taking me a loan out to do this build W
How heavy are these e bikes? I want to take them up the stairs do they weight more than 100lb?
the bike is $2300+ and the parts he used were $1200, not $1k. thats over $3500 for this chinese junker.
I am wandering can i put a 48v 2000w hub motor on the tomofree 1200w dk200 because it would drastically reduce how much i have to spend
Saying he feels law abiding while ignoring every traffic law is wild work
What happened with the Psychmotor sleeper ebike mid drive kit that you were going to do?
Whats the biggest person weight wise you think can ride one of these E bikes? I mean can someone 400-500 ilbs ride one and it still be able to go 20mph. I know it wont go 40+mph with someone that heavy most likely
Where is he located test the torque and uphells and what’s the new range after the upgrade
Just found this channel, and i have been looking for sleeper builds, how its done for beginners. You should do a 2k build also. I wonder if anyone up in Albany, NY has skills like Caesar.
7:00 homie on the wheelie by the cop then your friendly wave 😆 epic
@surronster Did your ebike guy use a different controller? The one with the kit is only 30amps. I'm thinking 50amps is better for a 3000w setup? Thanks for any info!
Have you done a sleeper build in a juiced hyperscorpion?
Is there any cheaper versions like this ?
bro i would do anything you need me to and i would help/learn with you, Surronster. you’re changing the EV scene man. God bless.
Do you think this upgrade would work on Ouxi v8 2.0?
I have a question about the hub motor and controller kit used. Do you know the dropout size for your bike? They have different dropout sizes out there and the kit doesn't specify. Thank you
I'm going start a build, looks like this a good set up, what is the range with battery and amazon upgrade
Does this cut down on your range of travel and usage of your battery
problem is, you have to buy the bike then the parts so it's not really a 1k build and is it any cheaper than the Suron?
Asking again, Do you have a parts list of the upgrades?
