No Guga RUN
GUGA NOOO WATCH OUT FOR SUKUNA AND TRY FIX GO/JO
In my 14 years being stationed in Japan, I learned that veggies SHALL ALWAYS be present in any food!
For real. How can some ADULTS be so picky when it comes to veggies?? man youre an adult just eat these plants
@@jdr022 because plants are gross on meat. If you want veggies go eat at a vegan restraunt
@@Fro609Angel's alt account
@@Fro609 idk about putting veggies on meat but i do have em on side atleast
@@Fro609 ew, veggies never good alone, same as meat, they belong together, why do you think burgers are so delicious? you take away veggies from burgers and the taste becomes too plain and boring
guga’s out here living his best life eating the best food and having the best experiences ❤
I know right? I love seeing these videos!
Yeah Guga! Way to make us commoners jealous! 😅
FR and his immediate family gets to enjoy it as well, we all know his wife has been getting a kick out of it after her reaction in the last upload on the Guga channel where he was eating that sad 7-11 sushi lol
Jesus loves you and may God bless
.
Indulging in the hedonistic black hole of gluttony he needs to watch his health
I love Guga's respectful and curious approach to everything. It's great to see the world through his eyes.
Jesus loves you and may God bless ..
Except vegan steak 😂
Except the train part. He shouldn’t be filming there
except when it comes to vegetables hahaha
I dunno, his shtick was borderline Ugly American. I love Guga and have been subbed since the very early SVE days, but not even doing the bare minimum to learn key phrases in Japanese, how to order ramen on the ticket machine, or navigate Tokyo's mass transit (it's super easy and literally every destination was translated and obvious in the shots he showed) left me disappointed. To anyone thinking of going, the Japanese people respond incredibly positive to even the smallest effort to speak their language and conform to their norms. It's my favorite place on Earth and made even better with a tiny bit of prep and a healthy dose of respect.
My 5 year old daughter always yells, "GUGAAAA!" when she sees a new thumbnail. Thank you for being both entertaining and informative, but also family friendly and kind. ❤
My 8 year old daughter has been doing that for almost 2 years now lol. We have tried probably 40-50 experiments in the past year and a half. I can get my picky 5year old son to try new things by doing a taste test. Plus I get blackmail videos for when they get older
are you sure she isnt saying goo goo gaa gaa? jk
ngl his name sounds baby-friendly lol
He’s living my dream. I would love to visit throughout Japan and try out their cuisine!
Honestly, with a few exceptions, you can get a lot of the ingredients at local asian markets, but if you're in a place like the US east coast, where there's barely any Japanese expat communities, all I can say is good luck 😭
@@gliiitched I’m really lucky, I live in a part of Texas that has a huge Asian community so there’s a lot of markets, restaurants and shops that center around that culture of food! But it’s expensive 😂
I love how cooking tells its own unique story, just like in a good book or movie. It's wonderful how the journey from ingredients to the finished dish is an adventure in itself.
It’s so nice seeing Guga traveling the world.
An entire trip and only a short video. There are significantly better traveling UA-camrs producing travel vlogs that actually show you more than a few streets and so so food. A soup that is fish flavor sounds and tastes terrible all at once.
You can tell Guga was just being nice to be polite and doesn’t really care for haute cuisine. “Where’s the beef!”
Guga, I hope you have all the things you wish in life and keep posting this educational content we all love
I agree man. I have cooked professionally for a long time and I am all about his language. I'm all about The science, as well as how and why they work.
Jesus loves you and may God bless
.
been watching guga since he first started producing, its fantastic to see that his hard work has paid off, now he's a natural! its smooth! such a professional! good to see him grow to such a success!
Awesome video Guga!
Thank you for bringing us in your journey to Japan.
Guga should have used the google translate camera thing to make things a lot easier for himself
It’s truly a lifesaver for when u need to quickly translate stuff
Agreed, I've used that Google Translate app on my phone during live conversations many times and they seem to have finally gotten it right (or at least way better than it was originally).
I’m so glad that you’ve came to my country! I’m quite into food so I’m glad that you had a great time eating ❤
Appreciate that youre always honest, Guga!
As an American that knew no Japanese, I found the Japanese people to be very polite and patient. We will definitely be returning to Japan. We found staying near Shinagawa station was the best place to get around as it is a hub for both shinkansen and local trains. Lots of great restaurants as well.
Japanese people are polite and respectful because it's part of their culture. That's only on the outside though, most of them genuinely dislike tourists.
@stomp21 I am sure that is evident in all cultures. In my case my tour guide was Japanese family who lives in Tokyo. It was only when we were on our own that it was a real adventure, and as long as we made an effort, they did too in terms of who we interacted with. In some cases, they were very friendly particularly in restaurants that were staffed with older folks in places that rarely saw "foreigners".
@@johngalt2071 I'm not saying that it's not a part of other cultures, I'm saying Japanese in particular are very respectful and polite ie. Body language and words, compared to most cultures. Which can give off the impression they like everyone.
@@stomp21 They dislike foreigners, they like Japanese tourists.
Every person outside of US r kinder n more polite 😂😂😂😂
TONKATSU is a deep fried pork cutlet, the ramen you ate is called TONKOTSU, easy to mix up 😁
Sounds like you had quite an incredible experience, my friend! Because of your video here, I'm more tempted to visit Japan more than ever!
I love guga voice it’s so calm and relaxing
Living vicariously through Guga videos per usual.
Guga was complaining about the signs being in Japanese but the english names for the stops were all on the sign too!
Watching him struggle with the in the subway and with the food vending machines was painful 😂…. Makes me want to call my Mom and Dad!
Great video none the less!
congrats guga it's awesome to see your character and channel evolve over the years and to see you get rewarded for your hard work! all the best ^^
I have wanted to go there my whole life! Japan and Australia. You are truly blessed with a great job Guga enjoy it and I will certainly keep watching!!
Seriously Guga, I am so jealous that you went to Japan!
Great video as usual. But the Doughnut on donut action was definitely a bonus 😂
Thank you for showing your difficulty; humility is the foundation of all virtue. You are a good man, and a funny one at that.
Looks like an amazing experience uncle Guga. It is really inspiring to see your cool videos and critque.
Catching the fish you’re about to eat is sick! That’s an awesome idea
Guga in Japan eating authentic Japanese food. Looks delicious! Great video today, Guga.
Love the recent videos Guga and the rest of the team, keep it up!
Gugaaaa yes!! I'm glad you loved your experience. I just wish the video was longer haha!!
I can feel you Guga! I was there 3weeks ago and damn I'm having headaches with their train system. However, the experience was really nice!
That’s why I avoid mainland and bigger cities there lol
I'm in love with the new Japan series.
What was the name of the catch your own place?
I absolutely LOVE when different content creators get together, so imagine my JOY when the door opens and out pops BAYASHI!!
Also, seeing you struggle with the commute and ordering is very funny! Even tho I never went to Japan, the train system seems like a mirror match with Singapore's and I never had trouble with it.
Very entertaining seeing your experience in Japan, thanks for the video!
Ikr I was hyped
Amazing episode! Thank You!
Also, I ate a ton of wagyu while I was there, and we cooked it in our hotel room, which had a nice kitchen in it. A4 ribeyes that would cost $80+ in the USA were $15-20. A4 and A5 tenderloin was sold at a premium, it seemed to be the cut everyone wanted (unsurprisingly), but it was still less than half of the cost in the US.
About the egg price, Japan is amidst an egg crisis right now. Their diet is very egg-heavy, and due to the recent bird flu outbreak, the supply is super low.
For example, Kewpie, their largest mayo manufacturer, is importing eggs all the way from Brazil because that was the most cost effective reliable way to get enough supply for them.
Japan is on my bucket list of places to go to
happy for you guga. glad you enjoyed japan.
I liked this video a lot, you are brave of being ok with the language barriers. Japanese are quite proud and while everyone might be helpful, trying to do it without help often takes time and there might be issues with translation. Very cool video, happy you got to visit Japan and try all those cool foods. Especially nice to order the beef, you might see the ways how they prepare it and if the bacon beef combo was a bit too much or you were really right :D
Greetings from Tokyo Japan! So looks like you had Takoyaki at Gindako which is a very famous takoyaki chain but a lot of people from Osaka(the birthplace of Takoyaki) says they’re Takoyaki is not the best or authentic takoyaki. You can find the great takoyaki anywhere in Osaka city. If you have chance to visit Osaka please do because the food is absolutely amazing in there. I recommend Hiroshima too❤ but I’m still happy to see you enjoying our city. Thank you for the great video.
Wow Guga,great times!
I needed this collab I love these two and watch both of them all the time and yes subscribed to both also
It's mind-blowing that you went in the same place I did back in the day for the takoyaki in all of the stores in Shibuya, let alone Tokyo!
They were really good, comparable to the ones I had in Osaka!
You should go to try a restaurant named 牛カツ located in Ikebukuro, the beef cutlet was amazing! I kept reterning to the restaurant everytime I visited tokyo. Japan is a magical place that even lunch boxes sold by convenience stores could be jealous.
Awesome, Guga! My wife and I were there from March to April, visiting family and friends. I cooked wagyu for my inlaws watching your videos! I even dedicated one video for you hahaha. Glad you enjoyed it. Next time you will be more prepared and know how to order in ramen shops.
Guga seriously when can you dry brine an A5 ribeye like come on it’s so simple yet I’ve never seen you do it in so curious. Please like this guys so he sees it!! I’ve requested this so many times
Awesome to see you on Ramen Street in Tokyo Station! Check out the basement of the Kitte 3 building next door. I like the ramen shops there better. There are 6 of them, including a branch of Tomita, that was number 1 in Japan for several years in a row up until recently. Kaneda has an option to get a small rice box topped with A5 Wagyu as a side for your ramen!
Lol. The ordering process is extremely easy. It’s one of the best things about Japanese food ticket ramen shops.
Sorted Food in out of London reviewed one of your videos. You should visit their studios next time you’re in England or have them come to Miami on their next trip to America.
Omg! Guga, that shirt looks amazing bro!
Next time, you have to try Yakiniku-don, also known as beef Gyudon. It's thinly sliced beef and onions cooked in a fish stock base and served over rice. Very delicious! Also, you have to try the Gyoza...it's way better than what you find in the States.
I'm currently visiting Japan. I also have to work out how to order and pay every time. Sometimes I end up ordering something unexpected. Like beef tongue instead of steak, but it's all been good to eat so far.
How does beef tongue taste? I’ve never tried tongue, but the descriptions I’ve heard make it sound pretty good!
Yuuuhhhhh love when guga posts
Happy to see you visiting Japan 🎉
1:44 cameraman gonna have to find a new job
I love takoyaki, and I've only had in the US. I can only imagine how incredible it must taste in Japan!
Tell me does Japanese mayo taste better than here in the US?
@@creamcitysista1970how would they know? They said they only had it in the US, not Japan.
I love how 1:11 when he's like "it's so complicated, everything is in japanese" he pans around to a sign where every single bit of japanese has romaji/english underneath xD
The Food In Japan Is Absolutely Amazing.

It's cool that you got the opportunity to go to Japan to enjoy their food and experience their culture, even if you got confused along the way. By the way, if you see this, I hope you will try to recreate this recipe from the anime One Piece called the "Meat on the Bone"
Basically, you take 4 chicken drumsticks, cut and push up the meat from the bone inside out on each one, set them aside, soak 1/4 cup of panko breadcrumbs in 3 tablespoons of milk and set it aside too, take 18 oz/500 grams of ground chicken, season it with salt, pepper, garlic powder, a bit of cayenne pepper for a slight kick, mix it together with a whole egg for structural integrity, some vegetable oil, and the milk/breadcrumb mixture, put a hardboiled egg in the center of each chicken drumstick, surround the drumsticks with the ground chicken mixture, and bake them at 400°F for 15-20 minutes.
If you do see this comment and make a video on it, I hope you and whoever you eat it with enjoys it! And if 4 is too many, cut the recipe in half to make 2 servings of the Meat on the Bone instead!
I am being quite persistent with this one, and will continue to be no matter how long it takes!
That looks like a lot of fun. Thanks for the video. 👍
yes Guga, i enjoyed your experience in Japan
When I went to Japan, tried ordering ice cream of 2 different flavor together as 1. but some how it went as separate and the bill was huge. I was speechless and had the smily face on while the girls in the shop were singing while preparing my ice cream, and in my mind I was like how am I gonna tell my dad that I bought ice cream for more than 1k Yen 😂
That's what about 7 -8 dollars

I’ll be there in December and man, you got me even more excited for the food than I already was lol
Seeing a first experience of Japan like this is so funny, I've lived here two years and still remember those early days, I had a little bit of Japanese when I arrived and it was still so confusing.
It actually is all *very* easy, but yeah, when you first get here there is a lot of things done a bit different from what you expect lol.
Did not expect to see Bayashi out here! Awesome 😅
Watching Guga in Japan is both exciting because im happy for him that he's in the nr1 place in the world when it comes to food, but also hilarious because everything is so strange for him ;)
Eat what you catch 100%, if you're going to let the fish go through such trauma, respect it and let it rest forever ;)
i love when he says hello every body or cheers every body.
Rokurinsha at Tokyo station is 1 Michelin. It is 1 hour wait at peak. But if you go and eat it for breakfast. It is less busy
Oh God... my dreamland, Japan!
Awesome. Yes, Catch and release here. Release to the kitchen.

"You're not gonna film the other side?" Made me spat my beer out a bit.😂
I wanted a Collab between you and the chef from Kichi Kichi for the Omurice. He's such an iconic character (as are you) and it would've been so meta for me personally because I've been dying to make my way over there for YEARS and I think you two would hit it off so well 😢 Also his Omurice looks INCOMPARABLE. ah well. C'est la vie!
I've had most of these when I was stationed in Sasebo for 3 years. the Hot drinks in the vending machines were a life saver in the winter when I had to stand watch outdoors.
