If He Didnt Get 3 Bogeys off the Stingers he would have been in contention. Hes too far back with his irons to have great opportunities has to start playing the Driver More and he made a bad shot With the Wedge from 80 yards, hes right there evident by Round 2 hes playing this tourney at around par in my books maybe even better Without the Stinger.
they almost had to amputate it in February of last year. I swear this man has 9 lives. First wife almost killed him with a 6 iron, 19 back surgeries, almost killed himself trying to drive home while on the strongest pain killers known to mankind. Then a car wreck literally fell off a mountain. He just keeps coming back. There for a while I kinda gave up on him ever catching Jack, but the way him and Tom Brady seems to be getting better with age, who knows. These athletes have broken the code with great diets and exercise. The life span of every athlete that puts in the time and work is so far ahead of what it was in Jacks era. Which says a lot about how great Nicklaus was.
long as his enjoying playing thats all that counts, its a privilege to be alive and enjoy the outside playing golf. Better then stuck behind a desk like most of us.

I was fortunate enough to have the Black as my college golf team’s home course so I was beyond thrilled to see him play 2 Opens there. I adopted a Guatemalan baby boy in 1994 and thought it extremely important to hold Tiger up as a cultural role model for him as we spent countless hours practicing starting at age four. He finished, leg screaming. Weather is supposed to turn bad for Friday. He's playing in the afternoon, he'll know what he needs to make the cut. Probably, only 1 or 2 under , unless weather causes havoc, then higher
We all know he ain't playing the weekend but always good to see him back even if it's only for two rounds would watch him shoot 80 over anyone else shooting 59 any day week month year
Once he recovers more it's over. He's still pulling his speed. He'll be back stronger and better. We may not see him much, but I think he'll play until his kid gets on tour.
A massive achievement to even be there at all and flashes of brilliance. Overall a positive experience for his fans after all the trauma. Go get 'em tiger!!
Tough but still an achievement no less… it’s gotta be so hard to be sharp in majors not playing in regular events… the finish has me worried that his legs not gonna hold up though. Hope for the best
To be honest, his swing looks really good and definitely good enough to win some golf tournaments, the only thing at this point in time holding him back is that damn leg, and unfortunately it doesnt look good :(
Lot of pain. Flinching during the transfer. I know he wants that “Hogan” moment, but he looked pretty hurt today. Nice to see sand “traps” again, instead of perfect bunkers that pros get up and down 70% of the time.
Strong start, reality sets in and the finish doesn't look too good. That last flop shot that came up short, the flying bullets out of the bunkers, and that look of pain...and its only Thursday. I really hope Tiger Woods plays well enough to make the weekend.....but it will be a struggle.
lol, the announcer even comments that it was going to be really really hard to keep the ball on the green from that bunker. while tiger didnt hit his best shot, the ball almost stayed on the green....only rolling maybe 2 inches onto the fringe. the first one and the last one came out really good.
Just amazing to even see Tiger back in majors this year let alone hitting some great shots and making cuts. What we are witnessing is no less than a true miracle.
I suggest Tiger rehab until the beginning of next golf season & evaluate his condition then. Trying to force his body to do things it won't do is asking for potentially worse trouble. I worry that later in life, like his late 50's or early 60's he'll be confined to a wheel chair. I'm not projecting that, just saying it could happen if he doesn't listen to his body. Stop for your own sake, Tiger.
Announcers every time tiger was shown on tv- “This guy has no quit in him.” 2 days later from tiger- “I’m withdrawing from the tournament.” 😂😂😂😂😂😂 What a bunch of buffoons
@@maurice2014 he’s a long way from being “back”. Health issues aside, which are certainly affecting his game (even with his mental fortitude), he needs to hit driver better. That baby pull fade will be fine so long as he starts it left, but needs to avoid the big miss. He still has average tour players ball speed, so he will be fine off the tee so long as he hits it in play. He’s not a long hitter any more, so it’s imperative for him to hit fairway. Irons were good until his leg looked like it started bothering him. He had some odd misses to the right like he blocked them. Wedges weren’t good for his standard except the very first wedge, though this course is a major setup. Putting was fine in my view.

After 1st Round: MC, WD already After 2nd Round: he’s too far back After 3rd round: He’s a quitter. Lol this is the first time he’s ever WD in a major. He was in some serious pain. Know what you’re talking about. Keep hating!
I mean, the man got a 74 on a major-worthy course. That is stunning golf, but the line is so fine out here.
The PGA needs to be stroking this guy's deck daily. Manstrous
That iron tee shot on 15 was the beginning of the end
finally somebody being realistic golf needs to focus on the leaders woods will never win again?
His mindset is still top but looks like his body is not cooperating. Still love to watch him as there is still magic left in him.

Lol true, they did it for John Daly too😂.
tiger is in pain he should just retire...this could affect him when he is 70 like Joe Namath?
Struck it decent but short game wasn’t there. Nike still doesn’t have a shoe for him!
slow it down a bit, the draw is mint.
I noticed that nobody is yelling dumb crap right after every swing.
0:31 That's what she said
If he can maintain his strength and drop a few putts, this could get interesting. I'd say top 10 or better if he does.
u r smoking crack?
LOL how did that work out?
Ppl like to put Tiger under unnecessary pleasure.. he is +4.. D.Johnson+3 Lee Westwood is +5 Garcia is +3..
It was only a matter of time before his injuries was more than his body could take
If his body was in good condition I think he'd still be in very good positions to win tournaments.
So where is the mashed potatoes guy now a days?
