Me too, some people need to learn to listen more than talk and accept that we won't be friends with everybody and that's fine
But extroverts are not that much of a problem , atleast imo , as an introvert i can tell you life is hard af , we don't make friends , extroverts literally adopt us lol most of my friends are extroverts and when i find myself being alone with another introvert it gets awkard af ...
@@chrisoo22233 I know that people have diferent experiences but being an introvert never stopped me from making friends when I found people who I had things in common with and that's the thing
We don't need to be "adopted" by any extroverts and if you feel awkward around certain people that's fine it happens to extroverts as well
@@pristoste Yeah i mean thats not exactly what i tried to say , i have friends too but must of them are extroverts , imo extroverts and introverts chemistry is amazing , one likes to talk all the time but need someone who actually listens and we introverts truly listen to people so i think we compliment each other really good 🤷♂️, and most of the times extroverts are the ones that talk to me first

It's strange they haven't made one yet, they've both been in the industry for decades and have worked with pretty much everyone else. Maybe there's resentment because River OD'd at Johnny's club.

I’m very shy. I have social anxiety and stutter when talking to ppl. But i really want to be an actress so I’m going to try and do acting classes
To overcome social anxiety start with these two steps:
1. When walking down the street, look into peoples eyes as you walk past them and smile and say hello.
2. Go up to someone and ask for directions or the time.
Do that consistently for a couple of weeks and you'll already feel much more confident about social interaction.
@@mirr1984 Agreed😊. I am an extrovert by nature and I always stop people with their cute dogs and chat with them and give their pets dog treats (that I carry) when the owner agrees😊. Depending on where you live, maybe that could be an icebreaker as well😃.

I have struggled all my life with social anxiety, with the right person i can have extroverted moments but i get so exhausted. I have one friend really but I make excuses to not hang out. I've also never dated at my age of 40.

I wish schools or people in general didn't see shyness as something that's bad and needs to be worked out of someone. That's who that person is, it's their personality. I never have agreed with schools making kids get up in front of the class to recite poems or whatever, outgoing people have no problem with doing that but it absolutely is crippling to the shy introverts. It's not fair. I know from personal experience!

*This* makes me feel a lot better about myself actually. Seeing these well known actors dealing with the same problems as I do. I have wanted to act ever since I was little, but I have just never gotten into it and that I regret. I still could try tho, it´s never too late. I do think I would feel more comfortable if I tried acting :)

The point of this video is you be shy and am introvert and still have friends, have a personality, have a career, and be successful.
It's a trait that doesn't get much recognition these days. But, the shy know himself better than the extrovert. He is a good observer and bad liar. He is sincere and approachable. So what more could you ask for? When you have such a person at your side, you have found someone very, very valuable.

many shy people took drsms to help deal with shyness. i believe people like Johnny deeply study the characters they portray and lise themselves in the character they portray rather than being themselves imposed on other characters. i think it might be a characteristic of grest artists

I heard Eddie Murphy to is also shy and he's great in his roles cause he's playing the opposite of how he is in real life.
Most of them tested highly on the intellectual quotient test from memory.

When I was a kid the neighborhood kids always said that I never talked and said I was so shy. When I was 10 years old my mom said.”Jeff if you don’t have anything good to say don’t say anything at all.” So I wasn’t shy I just didn’t have anything nice to say. Like that makes any sense

I was shy but now i am not, I was teased and humiliated by my cousins as they treated me like a little baby. But after i realised that they are nothing compared to me i never wasted my time listening to them or others telling me about my feelings. I didnt care about what others say. I am an inttovert I love being alone and I am happy and I know how to act like an extrovert in situations. Just dont listen and care about others opinions and mind your own business then u will become happiest person in the world.

There is your first mistake. Not caring about or listening to them. You grow from listening to others' opinions, by thinking you are superior to them, that is anger which serves no functional or useful purpose and leads to self destruction. Listen to others', they may be wrong but by growing your objective skills you know why they are wrong and can argue your point in a mature and intelligent way.

I was happy as a kid but at some point I started getting bullied so as the years went by I became more and more introverted. The only person who used to comfort me was my mother who is battling cancer and things are looking bleak. I quit my toxic job because it affected my mental health. I finished my studies regarding my new job with the highest mark but still my confidence didnt increase. Its been 6 months and still I couldnt find a job at what I like. So I developed severe depression and anxiety and I think that all these guys who belittled me over the years were right. I feel that the only thing that is hanging me is my mother. Hearing Dave talking about his issues made me feel better. We are not insane, we are just different.

Ok wow. Some of those actors really surprised me on how introverted they are IRL.
For me personally, as a child I would always give off the bubbly and bright personality to other people! But at times when in gatherings and big crowds I would hid behind my parents.
I would definitely consider myself now, an “ambivert” that’s a solid mix of both intro & extro, yet I lean more into the introverted side because if I could choose to talk to someone all day or go on a hike in a forest by myself I would definitely choose the hike.

I appreciate this vid! Though Iam female and have done both in front of camera of commercials, I have also been makeup person for actors/models. I reallyyy like NOT being in front of camera. I've studied alot about why introversion is a 'thing' ... and accept it of me now. My dad, brother, gramma all were/are shy or introvert or 'highly sensitive person'. Some folks (my hubby) are very outgoing ... even my mom! But some of humanity is sort of 'wired' for calm. Don't apologize or downgrade yourself if you prefer quiet or need it. Its not bad- Einstein, Sophia Loren, even Anthony Hopkins are introvert. I nickname myself 'the Shermit (hermit)' .... my dad calls himself 'the hermit of his mountain' (he lives in a forest on a lake quietly). Woopwoop to the quiet folks!

What made you more anxious? What was the trigger? Honestly if you have a passion for being an actress you will surpass the anxiety. Focus on the positive feedback you have received in the past.

I thought my son was just shy but as he became a grown man I noticed that shyness wasn't just that but as it turns out he has social anxiety disorder. I. never heard that word back then. He drinks too be able to have a conversation with anyone. I went through a shy time but I somehow got over it.

Trust me, this people is the people who always being taken advantage of by those "extra" extrovert. They feel uncomfortable and insecure of how calm and smart introvert people behave, and projecting it to them. These people basically want you to be dumb, they feel annoy you don't acting dumb like them and despised you for that. I hate these kind of people.
