  • This video is meant to support my Bayshore Bandana Cowl pattern, by showing you the basic stitch, increase rows, and edging. You'll need to purchase the pattern to get the full details on the number of stitches and sizing, and it will be released January 30th, 2025.
Have fun mixing colors or even different yarns with this squishy lace bandana cowl perfect for single skeins. Designed for the 2025 Bay Area Yarn Crawl make-along, this is a quick and fun project. It’s also a nice introduction to Hybrid Crochet, aka Tunisian Crochet, which is worked with a long hook, each row containing a forward pass and a return pass. This pattern is easily adaptable to different sizes and weights of yarn, and works best with a medium to high contrast of color and/or texture. With many yarns you can make two cowls with two skeins, either matching or with opposite color placement!
If you're totally new to hybrid crochet (aka Tunisian crochet), I have another video showing the basics including the Tunisian simple stitch and Tunisian knit stitch.
