Man I really enjoy listening to your journey. Not many youtubers are talk about the cards they are hunting with the process of how they plan on getting there. Keep up the content!
I usually just download the videos because I live in the freaking boonies lolol. Figured I'd comment while I can when I'm in town at the moment. Love the content, keep up all the hard work bro, we appreciate it!
Aw thanks fam it means third to hear from the homies!! I do the best I can with the limited time I have outside of raising a family. It can be hard but we’ll worth these comments and engagements! 😎
Casual collecting makes it more fun as opposed to worrying about reselling and making money imo. Just buy when i can and hopefully keep it all in PC. Got a shining tyranitar and rockets snorlax ex as my best cards rn
Casual collecting is definitely less stress I won’t disagree with you on that! Sometimes though you make poor decisions and selling helps maintain a nice balance. Great comment regardless ! 😎
Nice thanks for chiming in! I appreciate the love ✊🏻😎 it’s difficult to afford collecting and sealed modern stuff versus vintage for me I always feel like I have to have both but need to truly prioritize one over another
Hahaha it’s hard to define a perfect strategy especially because like the Pokémon we love we as collectors also evolve and have “stages” if you will. Glad you enjoyed the content ! Makes my day 😎🙏🏼
I've just been a collector, and I just got a bunch of my cards graded for resale, and I'm finding out really quick that people just aren't buying cards. The views on listings that have been up for weeks are less than 10. They aren't "bangers" but they have sold listing, I think vintage is legit plummeting. Of course that's what I graded for resale....I figured graded would be easier to move and less likely to get returned.
Yeah when you get the grades back if they aren’t near perfect it really makes your market shrink! Great comment vintage isn’t plummeting we’re just too busy with all these modern sets! 😂
Hate the selling part of collecting. I have more than 4000+ raw cards that I need to list on ebay, but hate the amount of time it takes and dealing with all of the issues. My personal collecting goal next year is to sell all of my duplicates that are just sitting in boxes.
I just started selling a little less than month ago have 800 in sales I only sell what I can pick up locally via deals to flip i sell what I can flip to buy sealed product and open some new stuff and then some of the sealed stuff raises up I sell some of that
That’s an interesting question, I have never shipped a package with insurance and have never had any issues BUT I have received a damaged card once I find it’s usually poorly packaged. If you package we’ll enough damage is highly likely to occur. A magic formula is cardboard against toploader with sleeves card both inside a team bag. Never had an issue!
That’s the phantom display case! Very popular at the moment for storing high value cards! I bought the basic 45$ ultra cases but there’s an even bigger case that has space for graded guards too 😎
Hahaha can do on September 14th in theory I will have the CGC cards back and may have the psa returns for the nicest psa cards sooner. We shall see! Good idea 😎
Hmm how many cards are you finding selling for 7-10$ that will resell for 17-19$??? I’m finding people just want to sell at market value. Cell phones make this so tough. Our local shop just checks tcg or eBay and prices the cards accordingly.. even if 2-3$ less.. after shipping, fees, taxes.. breaking even or losing money.
This is the case on a lot of cards, it can be an absolute struggle and nightmare but there are definitely deals out there. A great example is the charizard upc zards I picked up for 5-6$ and sold at 17-20$ within 7 days and used .63 cent cheap shipping. You have to also spice up listings and put some creativity into it with costs time. And good photos all this has to be taken into account. But more often than not you are correct it can be really hard. I have a local shop that sources me most cards beneath market otherwise I don’t come back for more. But I save stuff to the side for a higher market too. I’m always selling regardless. This way I have a pulse on the market constantly. Great comment ! 🙏🏼😎
Yeah probably not the best idea but does show them beautifully and what’s the point of never seeing your cards in the natural light ? It brings out the best of them! 😎🙏🏼
I don't beleive the Ebay under $20 shipping discount applies to graded cards that would have to ship in a bubble mailer. It only applies to standard envelopes that could only hold flat ungraded cards.
Yeah that might be the move realistically I just feel like selling a nice looking card with flaws tends to make people feel bad and I want people to love the cards they buy from me. But I do think selling raw is better but is it morally ok when the flaws aren’t represented? This is another grate video topic that I am going to talk about! Thanks for the comment! 😎
I do find you not selling the card because you got no feedback strange. It kinda rubbed me the wrong way but hey you do what you want. I sell yugioh cards and I dont expect people to leave feedback or expect me to leave feedback
Hey I didn’t sell the card because it was the first time I listed a nice card of mine and I was nervous about the buyer having zero feedback looking like a new account and it made me uneasy. Maybe everything would have been fine but at the time I did not feel comfortable with it. That’s all it was haha and I’ve sold hundreds of cards so I’m no stranger to trusting the process but selling sub 20$ cards versus selling my first ever, 1st Ed base holo card are two totally different situations for me. I think I’m slightly misunderstood but it’s fine. I try my best to be a good seller but I’m not perfect. I make mistakes too.
You canceled and order on a psa 4 card just because they didnt have feedback? So someone who may be new to the hobby and wants to start small and buy a cheap card you said no to just because they didnt have feedback? Nice gate keeping. Not even like that card is anything special 😂 tool bag move
Regardless of what card it is it’s my policy as a seller to protect myself. It has absolutely nothing to do with whatever you are saying? You’re being degrading.
Im not being degrading at all. Assuming someone isnt worthy of a psa 4 because they dont have feedback is degrading. If they dont pay in auctions yeah repost and block the user but not even giving them a chance? Come on man. What if nobody bought from you when you started selling because you had no feedback?
Honestly makes it seem like you thought your psa 4 is worth more than it is. Didnt like the price and used no feedback as an excuse not honor the auction.. calling it like i see it
Calling me a tool bag is degrading, regardless of how you see it. It was the first nice card that I sold and I don’t think it’s “not that special” as I was clearly worried someone with no feedback could be a scammer. Sellers have every right to be cautious. The point of feedback it to reassure both parties.
@@orionsires i never called you a tool bag. I said it was a tool bag move. And yeah a psa 4 alakazam is not that special. Its the perfect starter card for a new collector. Hence denying a new collector just because they dont have feedback. Nobody in the hobby for any good period of time is scamming a psa4 base alakazam even if its 1st edition. You could literally pay for a light or played card cheaper then paying a premium and get a 4 really easy. 9s and 10s that's a different story. A 4. Not special and i stick by thats gatekeeping and a toolbag move
Do you sell Pokemon cards ? Why or why not ?
I’ve been selling some of my comics (1960s-1980s) so this helps me a lot. Thanks also I like Pokémon trying to buy vintage first ed etc.

Thank you for the support! 🙏🏼 Can do! I’m glad you enjoyed the video and hopefully others can get some nugget of information from my rants 😂😎
It’s all a learning curve! It’s different for everyone when it comes to trading and selling
I can certainly agree it’s quite the learning curve 😂

Love seeing the same type of collector. The mood of how to collect definitely changes for me by the month

Sometimes, but not like I was doing online for tax reasons
Right on everyone has different reasons taxes are one I am definitely feeling anxiety over lol

I LOVE VINTAGE! … but modern is now KING
Everyone has their opinion on that topic 😎
@@orionsires I collect vintage. Sell/invest modern. Old cards hold a warm spot in my heart.
At the moment EBay is only benefit buyers and conventions are great for sellers from what I have see so far 🤔
