Excellent tutorials. Taking Microsoft Office to new levels of interest. Great !!. Yes I’m sure most of us are either subscribed to Office 365, or have purchased Microsoft Office Home or Professional, and the suite of programs just sits on our PC being used for the ubiquitous shopping list, simple letter, calendar, or inventory. But watching your videos means I can be more creative with Microsoft Office and all of its applications from Word, Excel, Access PowerPoint and Publisher. Many thanks.
omg, 1skill and Kevin are both here, I really consider myself extremely fortunate that fate led me to 1skil and Kevin's UA-cam channels; I have learnt a lot from you and will continue to do so. Thank you so much for everything.
One more PowerPoint Lesson needed: The Design Tab, and specifically the 'Design Ideas' tool. I love this feature, but I don't think I really know how to use it, or at least I'm missing out on some of the capabilities. Thanks!
Your PowerPoint Skills are simply the next level! I'm learning a lot at this moment. That thumbnail gave me that Parallax Effect. Your videos are very easy to follow. Keep going Kevin, can't wait to see you at a Million Subscribers!
Very cool. Im thinking incorporating this idea as a background for Ms teams. Perhaps a background picture of the office and have the whiteboard populate
Very useful as always, Kevin. I might add a downside though to Morph: you have to double the number of slides so the weight of the pptx file also I guess. This should be considered if you are going to overuse this to show off in a presentation, even more if it is stored in a cloud system.
Fair point. I’m not sure how PowerPoint saves the file, but I would assume there’s some efficiency if you have the same images included multiple times (eg it doesn’t save multiple copies of identical images).
Did you know you can add this as GIF in Outlook? It even works with signatures. Be aware that the size increases fast. GIF is also supported in Word, Excel and so on. Thx
Fascinating Kevin!😱 You keep on uploading Top Notch content to help others! I really like this Parallax Effect as it gives a smooth transition and no sudden bursts/change, and that Morph transition is a neat way to simplify the process👀. Really appreciate the effort you put in to enhance our PowerPoint skills, I am becoming a master now!😀🧠 Keep on uploading and you will reach more than 1 MILLION... Great Thumbnail as always, looks like the text is going through some Parallax effect😂
Hey Kevin, thanks so much for these great videos! I literally thought about learning PowerPoint animations/transitions this weekend, and my first thought was "I bet Kevin has video(s) on this" and they were super helpful and these tools are so powerful. Thank you!
Hey - Great video - I have one Question. And that is this: I am using OBS to record. But when I (in After Effect) is Zooming in - the quality is not that great - it is a bit blurry if I compare your video. Any tips?
Kevin, I have a 700 slide powerpoint and i want to delete every 3rd slide (or I have a column with slide numbers I want to delete), is there an automated way I can do this?
@Kevin : What does one do with the duplicate slide that has been created. Now you have 2 instead of 1 slide having same content under the second method. If one deletes the original side, then the morhped affect is not there.
For morph to work, you just leave them. They’re like key frames in video editing, one represents the beginning state and the other slide represents the end state. Think of them as the beginning and end frames of an animation.
Hi Kevin, you mentioned a couple of times that the morph will only work if you have Office 365. Question: Is that only for building the effect, or is that also a limitation for showing the effect? For instance - I'm at home and I'm building something on my personal computer for school. I have Office 365 and I build a parallax effect using morph. I take that file to school to show in class, but the school does not have Office 365. Will the morph work? Thanks for the great tutorials!
1) is there a way to change the defaults...as in the default animation direction for various options? I use the Wipe animation a lot and usually want it to be wipe right...but the default is wipe down (or up)...can the default direction be changed? and also just default font and other defaults. 2) please do some video(s) on the slide master templates that creates a "parent-child" type set of templates...I use PPT to create figures for reports so I have our company titleblock in the slide master and recently got the bright idea to put the auto slide number as Figure # so that if I change figures around (or add/delete) I don't have to manually renumber the figures...and I find the parent-child template thing a pain and even though I turn on slide number and "apply to all", when I go back to the slide view the slide number doesn't show up...usually takes me some back and forth in the master until I get it to work. So I think some videos on the master would be helpful.
For animations, I don't think you can change defaults, but you can use the animation painter to copy the settings from another object that already has your preferred settings configured. For default fonts, the easiest path is to set up a theme that contains your preferred fonts. I'll add slide master to my list (I did one in the past, but it's a little dated now).
First view, first like and first comment ❤️
