    Thank you, Kevin! I watched your video several times to learn the process. Then, with your tutorial and a little bit of Google searching, I was able to create an animated gif using PowerPoint 2016. The steps are slightly different when it comes to saving the animated gif. I had quite a bit of fun creating an animated gif and then inserting it into a short video.

    • @shahdmousa304
      @shahdmousa304 Рік тому

      Hey Tammi can you please tell me how you saved it? I can only save it as (gif) not (animated gif) as he did in the video and the presentation is totally saved in a different way than him :(

    • @Tammi_The-Cr4fty-Cat-Lady
      @Tammi_The-Cr4fty-Cat-Lady Рік тому

      @@shahdmousa304 That was 2 years ago, and now, I'm using PowerPoint 2021. However, I selected Export and then chose Save as video. Then, I opened my go-to video converter (from Movavi) and saved the video as an animated gif. If you don't have a video converter that can convert the video file to an animated gif, you might be able to use Giphy, which is a free online program that will turn it into an animated gif.
      Now, PPTX 2021 has the option to Export and save as an Animated Gif, but I noticed that's a bit on the blurry side (and I created a basic shape with text in it), so if I want to create any more animated gifs, I'll have to experiment.

    I am using my office 365 at work, but the file type i can save as is "GIF Graphics Interchange Format (*.gif)"
    When i save like this, a folder is created including an image of each individual slide. not a single dynamic image.
    Is there a fix for this? Thank you in advance.

    Kevin great video!
    I have a question and I want to know if it is actually possible to achieve with PowerPoint.
    I am a professional instructor as well as professor at a college. I know many teachers have now gone online to teach so would probably be beneficial to many people.
    I currently have a very large green screen that I bought cheap off of Amazon. I would like to be able to use zoom to broadcast myself live removing the overlay I'm putting myself directly into a PowerPoint presentation.
    Is it possible to do something like this to literally have the remote control in my hand that I normally give my PowerPoint with but stand in front of it without having a separate video box?

    • @KevinStratvert
      @KevinStratvert  4 роки тому +3

      Hey Mark - yes, it's possible. I'll pull together a video that goes into more detail. If you don't want to wait, you can use OBS virtual camera to green screen videos or desktops behind you while using Zoom. Hope that helps! Keep an eye out for a video on the topic -- I've had a few others mention this as well.

  • @utubingallday
    @utubingallday 4 роки тому +2

    Hey Kevin. Great video! My opinion, I would think it would make more sense to save each animation in its own PowerPoint. That way you could quickly go back and edit it, and you would not have to hide and unhide the slides.

    • @KevinStratvert
      @KevinStratvert  4 роки тому

      That's true, that's probably a better approach. It also reduces clutter in the final presentation. I included all in one so I could share the PowerPoint with all the viewers if they wanted to experiment... here it is if you want to play around with it: 1drv.ms/p/s!AmxrofZZlZ-whJgdPuHbLEdoLXg7RA?e=uicxOV

      Hello Kevin. I second that question. I'm guessing... Camtasia?
      And to generalize: do you know any good Mouse Cursor Highlighter add-ons?
      For PC those seem to be hard to find (ones that work on 4K monitors and multiple monitor set-ups).
      Here's my suggestion (for what it's worth): Mousetrack from SwordSoft. Any opinions?
      Thanks in advance!

    Thank you so much! I'm finding your videos super helpful. I'm a teacher and am looking for great ways to create engaging lessons for my students--without reinventing the wheel. GIFs should help capture their attention. I have a couple of questions--We use MS and Teams in our district. Can you do a video on how to create drag and drop lesson or how to make multiple choice lesson so the kids can edit the slide to choose their answers? For example if I saved an image of a multiple choice worksheet as the background, how could I give them circles at the ready so all they have to do is drag and drop it over their chosen answer? Or if I have text that I want the kids to move from one place to another, say to label a picture, how do I allow them to do that and without changing the text? Also, is there a way to make a convert a PDF into an editable word document? That way when I post their assignment in Teams, they can add their answers and turn it in that way? Thank you so much for your help. From Kent, WA
