Who show immense skill and have youth on their side. Brogdan, Grant, and Thybulle are only going to take mins and fill too much salary from this rebuilding roster where Toumani, Rupert, Murray, and Walker need those reps. POR basically needs to clear cap and roster space to completely reform this frontcourt through the draft hopefully. JOE ONCE AGAIN FAILED AT THE TRADE DEADLINE 3 YEARS IN A ROW.

He’s averaging 5 and 4 on 40% at 6’10”…. Ayton is averaging 23 and 12 on 60% his last 10 games which is the healthiest stretch the team has had all year. Brogdon is well worth what we’re paying him and holds good value on the trade market. Blazers have been down 3-5 guys to injury basically all year so chemistry was an issue.

Ayton and Grant , we are just stuck with. He probably had no decent offers for them. Nobody gonna mess with those huge contracts. Brogdon is valuable and his deal expires in '25. There were surely multiple deals for him but he just chose not to trade him.

Simons, Sharpe, Grant, Williams, Ayten is not a bad starting lineup in my opinion if everyone is healthy. Add some depth on the bench via a trade for Brogdan with some of our young guys and first round draft picks and I think that could be a playoff team next year and perhaps a second round playoff team the year after that. We’re not that far away with the right player development and coaching.
Why the hell we wasted a 2nd round pick on a bust..we have 4 picks for next season already with about 10 players with 2 or less years experience..this was perfect opportunity to trade Brogdon clear cap and maybe sign a good FA over the summer.
If he deviates from the rebuild route too soon and it falls flat with a play in win to only be swept by the #1 seed you are going to have a lot of fans asking for Cronin to be fired. If you aren't contending you should be getting lottery picks.
