I asked him what happened and he said,”I got tierd of my freight bitching at me,trying to barrow money,or wander off during stops.” He was a lot happier hauling inanimate cargo.

Petter & Kelsey, glad you both made it through and are continuing to entertain & inform us! Keep up the great work!
Unfortunately, we most likely will see that again. Humanity gets struck with this kind of thing every 60-80 years or so; it's just the nature of diseases. But we're getting a lot better at handling them. The death rate of COVID was 70-100 times smaller than the death rate of the previous pandemic, the Spanish flu from a century before. If anything, it's a good reminder that we, for a change, did something right.
As a truck driver I fully understand what they mean when they are talking about sitting around waiting.Just had that experience in Atlanta just yesterday actually.
I'm not a railroader yet, but I know a few. Sitting and waiting is a big part of freight railroading, especially on single-track lines. In fact, one railroad got the nickname "Now You Sit & Wait."

Just kidding, I'm Dutch too, from a gliding family, for several reasons stopped flying, still miss it like hell. The Diamond is great, but I could never afford a plane like that. Good on you. @@roaminginthought9210 I'd like one more time on one too and there's still a chance because of the huge drop in fuel costs and their cargo capacity even in passenger form.
They were cool and I miss them every time I buckle up in a cramped soulless 777. In 1969 I once flew LHR SFO on a 707 320C an a/c that had soul but cramped doesn't begin to describe 8 hours in that thing.
I don’t know if you guys have ever done any other Collabs, but you are my two favorite aviation channels by far and I’m not into aviation, other than having flown remote control planes and helicopters as a kid and adult, and always loved the commercial jets the bigger, the better Anyway love your channels, more collaborations please !
I live near the Boeing plant in Everett (the big one that holds the record for largest building by volume). I honestly hadn't realized until I scrolled down and read someone else's comment, but... Yeah, the Dream Lifters aren't taking off or landing here for the past few weeks. Usually, there's at LEAST a few a month. You can tell when a Dream Lifter is landing because the engines are so much louder than other jets. Crazy that I kinda miss the bone-rattling behemoths...
I just watched this and that was really interesting to hear about the differences! I just want to wish you both well in this strange times and hope your lives can get back to normal soon! Take care! Good luck with it as I live in France and it is in total lockdown too! However it has to be done for all our safety!
Funny thing is that the Dream lifter looks a lot like the Airforce/NASA Guppy. My uncle designed the original guppy in order to transport various rocket segment/stages. My uncle XXXXXX designed many aircraft and ICBM's among others during his Airforce tenure.

I was already guessing you're an instructor just from the way you break down and teach stuff (thank you!). It will take me a while before I get back in MSFS2020 - I'm still just one week into binging on all your videos!
1:27 "Did you need to take any special licence to fly cargo?" Well, you need extended Dangerous Goods Training to handle Cargo Aircraft Only items. 3:15 "How does a turn-around look for you?" I have done "hot turns" on cargo (land, taxi in, leave one engine running while you throw out one or two boxes, and take on one or two) taxi out and take off. That was on a light jet cargo operation. Mind you - I've done that with passenger operations as well when the APU was broken and there wasn't any ground power. Sometimes we had three hours to wait - in the middle of the night so the only thing open was a taxi-driver's burger joint so we would wait there. Flying cargo operations for an airline, we got cold catering (sandwich & fruit platter).
"Can you REALLY fly a B747 in Pyjamas?" I suppose that depends on whether you can find a pair of pyjamas to fit a B747.
Hehehehee, okay fair enough, that was funny. Thanks for the giggle :)

Bravo to Mentour Pilot and Kelsey, wonderful presentation! I was happy to know you two guys are comrads, and clearly work well together...likely because of parallel character traits/values.
I love you guys both, you are outstanding individuals. Thank you both for your work. Live long and prosper!
Got a buddy flying 747 freighters, he says full load in and out takes same time as refuelling if the ground has its act together.
Max take off and landing weight can be way up on a freighter so speeds are up
I've never flown on 747, never got a chance... the crisis is threatening this dream to become true. Love your channels! Keep the absolutely fantastic side up.
Абракадабра Кобра [25% & 9%] Oh you will have a chance to fly the Queen. There are still some airline that flies the Queen.
You should look primarily at cargo operators then. Large aircraft usually retain their value much better for them than cargo airliners.
@@roaminginthought9210 I'd like one more time on one too and there's still a chance because of the huge drop in fuel costs and their cargo capacity even in passenger form.
Nick Um... Not the A380...
Omg !!! Another crossover!! Yay!!!! Just made my day !!! ❤️❤️
I'm not into flying but for some reason, I started binging Mentour and 74 Gear.. It was a delight to sett this meetup after watching 100 videos
Two have been on the ground in Charleston for 1 month and I saw one is in Taiwan and another in Japan. They've hardly flown at all.
One went to Hong Kong a couple of days ago 🤩
Awesome collab.. Its always getting better each time. 🥳
I just watched this and that was really interesting to hear about the differences! I just want to wish you both well in this strange times and hope your lives can get back to normal soon! Take care! Good luck with it as I live in France and it is in total lockdown too! However it has to be done for all our safety!
Great collab. Petter you ask the best questions.
"another 2 weeks at least" - man I hope Petter can look back and laugh at those words nearly a year later rather than cry!
Funny thing is that the Dream lifter looks a lot like the Airforce/NASA Guppy. My uncle designed the original guppy in order to transport various rocket segment/stages. My uncle XXXXXX designed many aircraft and ICBM's among others during his Airforce tenure.
When you really start digging into everything going into IFR flight, it just cascades into different fields of science.
