Loved the monochrome images! Always a good choice with a blank sky and a killer subject!

Thank you 😊 🙏, yeah it was the only option really with how the day turned out, so much for the weather apps 🤣👍

Liked the 1st sun star shot and thought that the B&w all were strong too, the harsh light helped those.

Thank you 😊 🙏, I totally agree with you about the B&W ones, I will return at some point, my aim is to get it in fog 😉👍

You have got some lovely pictures of Charlie's Tree, but it seems that this tree is on everybody's bucket list. Now don't get me wrong the tree has been there for a long time well before Charlie got there! If I went there I would know exactly where to erect my tripod I wood just look for the tripod holes that others have left! I don't think anybody could take better pictures of the tree than you did not even Charlie! ......Thanks for sharing your Photography with us ......

Thank you so much, yeah it's a great place, was trying to get something different, but the weather was against me that day.

Des, I was there yesterday 27/01/22 and chatted to the farmer who owns the land, he told me the tree has ash dieback so it won't thrive for much longer

Shame about the fog no show but still some good images Darren. Looks completely different from when I was up there with the snow last week. I'm going to explore those limestone erratics next time I'm up there, so many compositions 👍

It's a great area, the Limestone was quite deep cut on that top part, well worth an explore 👍

Haha the reason I took interest was the bit where you walked to the tree to confirm where it was. I think from the orientation of Ingleborough and the viaduct I can work it out. I thought the monochrome images worked best because of the extensive blue sky (don't you just hate blue sky). Erratics are boulders of different rock to that of the surrounding area, carried by the glacier from the sandstone/gritstone tops but left on the limestone pavement. there are many such boulders on Twistleton Scar which are just limestone and perhaps rolled there by the glacier.
