Thank you Jane for the years of inspiration... I studied ecology and chose to teach biology because your message resonated with me. Nearly 30 years into this career, I still listen to you like the boy I was in the 1960's.
I come back to this, time and time again, whenever I need a sobering reality check to do more and be more. Thank you for putting this together.

x1plus1x I doubt that will be the outcome. I'm humanistic in this respect that I rethink humans will achieve a status of proficiency where we can support our brethren and genetic relatives of earth. Once we overcome tribalistic politicks and move forward .
Never lose hope my friend. Educate, tell people information and conservation, be educated, be wise and never be afraid to do the right thing for this planet and its future children. As Jane says 'Each and everyone us makes a difference each and every day and we have a choice'

Truly astonishing that this video doesn't have over 2 million views. It's been over 5 years. I'm suspect of the algorithum. Thank you for making this, it is reminicent of the type of videos I made in my hay day. Keep up the good work, I watch this almost every week.
I'm a Biologist who got a degree in Climate & Energy science but was unable to find a position that was doing anything worthwhile to combat climate change. I'm starting a new position in two weeks that will give me more freedom, especially the freedom to speak my mind. I'm going to try my best to convert my LLC to a sustainability/climate based company and consult. If I were to just volunteer 2-5 hours a week to a non-profit based around climate i'd be able to sleep better. At the moment I feel like a traitor to myself and humanity, but I also feel empowered again. Something must change.

Am glad this is related to current life. Talking about Nature can change our attitudes and outlook for the future by simply understanding how Nature works to rebalance, be fair, provide us with all the information we need if we listen and look at it and talk about what Nature really is compared to religion.

Sometimes global solutions need indirect applications to manifest a new reality. What may seem like a technicality can alter the course or offer a perturbation to a already existing set of circumstances that seem doomed from a anew reality. Most people seem very unhappy with the current situation with ecology financial and even spirituality. The thinking of “work taxes and death” is a common misnomer that needs a new point of view or a better understanding than previously understood.
3500 years ago a volcano erupted changing the course of a river that also changed mankind’s understanding of the universe. It also removed the technology that created the current situation economically socially and spiritually. It’s like mankind was not ready for that lifestyle enjoyed by the rest of the alien universe. For 3500 years we’ve been literally living in the dark. It’s time to reawaken the planet from its sleep.
Hence my quote “You can’t change everyone's heart or mind but you can change the energy that they use to awaken and advance society “.
Current society is not perfect but it's stymied.

The other day I went for a walk in the woods. When I saw trees marked with an x. I saw tree stumps and cut down trees. When I saw the salamanders I couldn’t have imagined them living in a forest with no trees. I told my dad, why would people cut down trees? Why would they do that? I got so angry! My dad says “ there is plenty of more trees left. I said “ not for long...” but why I still have hope is because of you Jane.

We are eliminating plastics as much as possible: no more saran wrap; no more yogurt cartons as we make our own in beautiful glass jars; no more plastic from the market or the chemist or anywhere. I'm using plant based biodegradable bags for garbage....and looking for more ways to be environmental.
