    A fun one you can add: a snare build track. Have the sampler loaded up already with a snare (or snare rack) and pre program the midi

    Use a template myself for over a year, and I keep on changing and upgrading it! Best tip for sure is to make it your own! Thanks for sharing Zack!

      @@TheCosmicAcademy I really love grouping lots of stuff in my projects! I havd one group with break sounds, and whitin that , I have 3 groups: Leads, Chords, and Other Elements! What you can do as well, is to make a seperate group for specific sounds that you often use. In my case, I like to go crazy with ambience sounds, so I have a seperate group, called 'Ambience'. Something I've been doing lately, workflow has inproved! And thats the fun thing, you can always grow your template! 😁✌🏻

    Default settings for stock plugins. Set a eq with a low cut. Right click save as default. Set autofilter , beatrepeat, compressor sidechain on. Save as default. Same for new audio/midi tracks. Add most used stock effects. Turn them off. Save as default track.

    I do have my own templates since years and indeed it helps me to be a lot more quicker.
    My most useful one in Ableton is : sidechain midi track - group of ref tracks - Resample track ready whenever you need to print and see something inside the audio - ofc a pre master rack on the master ready whenever needed - utility on the master with visualiser... + a ADPTR AUDIO Metric AB - A simple midi track which I just use for arranging, I put differents blocks of colors for the break, drop etc... (This one is actually super useful) - In my Fx group I keep my fav riser, just so it's already there at important section of the track, and the list goes on... It's already quite a lot of tips 😄

      @@TheCosmicAcademy Thank you ♥ Pro tips: I send all my group tracks on a final mix bus track which I have my Fxs on it like endless smile, filter etc.. + a Fabfilter with fletcher munson curve preset used on dynamic band and spectre by wavefactory to enhance some frequencies (game changer)

    In FL Studio: Customized my whole mixer so tracks are routed to the correct groups, and then having some basic EQ and sidechain on my Bass/Leads bus. Makes it quick & easy to make a raw drop idea!

    This is SO helpful 🙌🙌 my favorite time saver is an “into space” and a “washout” rack. “Into space” is just a couple delays and a bit of reverb that sound good for putting a song into space that differ from my sends. And washout is just eq/verb to make things seem like they’re fading away for transitions

    Do you have a video on how to create Ableton default channels? If not I would really appreciate a video showing how to set this up. Thank you in advance.

    • @TheCosmicAcademy
      @TheCosmicAcademy  9 місяців тому

      I don’t but it’s easy to explain! Just open up a midi or audio track and load any plugins on. Set them up how you’d like. Then right click the channel (the area where you would rename the channel) and look towards the bottom of the pop up window. You’ll see save default channel! Now everytime you open up a midi or audio channel, it loads that same way.

    • @aaronkruk8529

      Yeah, I do! I have all my groups (instruments, basses, drop synths, drums: cymbals, break kick / snare, drop kick / snare & finally FX), my favorite piano & string kontakt libraries loaded up w a blank MIDI set to F minor (recently been loving that key) & some custom racks I made for making ambient pads already loaded in. Comes out to about 40 channels.
      I also have the structural markers like you mentioned, automation on the master during my builds only (decrease in volume & stereo width). It’s been working for me these past few months. For the first time since boot camp I’m starting to finish a track in 1-2 weeks now. Feels great.
