    that was so tight, so perfect, and such a good watch. it should be in an "oddly satisfying" compilation somewhere.

    Nice video, well shot and narrated. Clean build. Smart you left one side wide, then cut to fit. Mahalo for sharing! : )

    I have a hiace like this for my flooring business in the wairarapa and I built a whole subfloor for my tools. I reckon you would have done a way better job than me though haha.

    I put a new floor (18 m Ply) in my Mercedes Sprinter LWB. I used the existing ply floor as a template. As the fit of the Mercedes floor was "loose" I increased its width by 15mm. Which worked fine. I failed to notice the looseness in the longitudinal existing ply floor. Hence I have 15mm gap behind the rear wheel arch. (I can live with it). What I found interesting was I extended my new floor right to the front seats and there was a 10mm parallel difference between the seats boxes and the rear of the van. No the van has not been in an accident. The original floor stopped short of the front seats.

    Dude - that fit! How did you locate the cutouts for the anchor points so accurately? .... did you cut holes in place on the paper version? In any case ... 😍

    • @TheOffcut
      @TheOffcut  2 роки тому +3

      Cheers Rob! Yeah I had it cut out on the paper template first. Just kept cutting away until it looked good and gave it a bit of tolerance all around when I cut it out on the plywood in case I was slightly off. Turned out good!

      @@TheOffcut It *did* turn out good. Have to admit I let out a wee wtf when I saw how huge that oversize sheet of ply was compared to a normal one :)

    Great job, did you just leave it in loose or use some sort of adhesive to hold it down?

    • @TheOffcut
      @TheOffcut  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks. It is not glued down. The weight of itself and snug fit is enough to keep it from moving around and can be taken out if it ever needs to be replaced

    You missed mentioning that you ALWAYS wanna lay the 'building card' curls down so it's not able to roll itself up all the time.

    • @TheOffcut
      @TheOffcut  2 роки тому +2

      Hahaha yeah learnt that the hard way… You could see all the tape on the other end where I tried to keep it down as I rolled it out haha
