owning a successful Airbnb is a lot of work eh ...... It's ALWAYS something that will keep us on our toes . I would be lost without my team . My house manager , My 3 to 4 cleaners and my 2 fix it guys . Airbnb has changed my life over the past 5 years and has helped me perform well over my wildest expectations .
Wow! Thank goodness you were able to get there after those winds. That was crazeee! Looked so much better after you finished. Finn is such a sweet doggie! He loves to sit in the sun coming through the window. Thanks for the analytics discussion, and the idea to have a mini “focus group” to help you decide on your “hero” photo.
I finally ditched my comforters and duvet covers for white quilted coverlets, soooo much easier and when it's colder add a second quilt or a white cotton blanket in white. Easy to clean and takes about 1/2 the time as messing with duvets!
Good idea We just stayed at apple farm inn in SLO this weekend and they had an insert in between the top sheet and a crinkle bed spread in white which looks good but I didn’t like that the top banker could expose the inset and I do t know if the Inserts are washed for each guest. Funny thing I brought my cozy earth pillow cases as a top sheet
Michael - I hate to say this but I am intrigued with the modern looking houses going in I like the ones that have a angle or even like Britt and Josh’s house But it’s crazy how much they are charging to build them and they seem simple with the clean lines it should be way was than 350-400j just for those builds
I feel that will be an addition to your content. You guys can tour the inside of these new houses & go on rants of the good / bad of these new Joshua tree new construction homes 🌵 The two of you are funny 🤣
I know you think we do t want to see the cleaning or making the bed at regular speed but I really want to see how you do your sheet tucking and out on the duvet at real time maybe you in can post a video on making beds please 🙏
I chose the same photos as your friends. Also you can do an A/B test with Airbnb using their "Duplicate listing" feature and then linking the calendars. Change the lead photos and see which one gets the bookings. Done
@@kristenandmichael Great! Certainly beats driving an hour up there! We've had the service from Burrtec for a year or so. I'm always a little nervous that they'll forget, but whenever I'm there on the right day, I peek out the window, and they always get it done. :)
Hmm, did you see the "Early Access features" under the menu tab? We signed up for that and thinking that might be why. I was using Google Chrome, not sure if that makes a difference.
@@lost-south-lake-crafters I asked support and these may be why we aren't seeing it: There are 3 possible reason why you haven't got the new user interface, 1st is, the Airbnb app on your phone is not updated yet, 2nd your phone does not support the latest version of Airbnb yet, and lastly is, the update is not established globally yet, there's a chance that your state was not included in the update yet
@Kristen & Michael Do you have an STR photographer in mind that you want to use? I am looking for one with a creative eye that can really capture rustic ambiance. TIA 😊
No we don't have one that we want to use yet, but one thing we were thinking about doing is hiring 3 different types of photographers and making a video about it.
@@kristenandmichael Very cool idea! 💡Like actually integrate all three into the shoot? I’m getting ready to launch my first STR in the next few months in the San Bernardino mountains and I am looking for a really creative ambiance photographer to shoot a bourbon themed cabin. Not sure if you’re familiar, but UA-camr Rob from channel Robuilt had his Casita Conejo property featured on the front cover of a magazine. I have been in touch with his photographer. Nice work and affordable. I am just seeking out multiple options! 😏
The real estate market is already horrible out in Joshua tree right now and we were booked the majority of November and already have more than enough to cover basics in December. We love our house and plan on keeping it and enjoying it as long as we can!
@@kristenandmichael What you're making on Airbnb, you're more than losing on the value of the home. We're just getting started. Soon, your vacancies will skyrocket and rental income will fall precipitously.
airbnb life is hard man no one sees behind the scenes .. So thank you!

🤍🤍thank you! It’s nice to see us happier too! 🙏🏼
I was thinking the same thing about the analytics!!!

My vote for the thumbnail pic to show the hot tub and cowboy pool if you can get in the same photo
Oh cool I just saw the part where you guys cleaned after the wind and got to see a different angle of the bedroom That was really cool

Under the listings tab just tap /List another space/ Duplicate an existing listing.
Could you possibly build a little shed around the trash barrels for when you have to leave them for a couple days?
You might be able to get Burrtec to pull out the bins for you. We do that in 29 Palms and it’s about $17/month. Give them a call.
Just called! $22/month, not too bad! Thanks for the heads up

I wanted to put up the same fence but after seeing yours it seems like alot of work😊
Hey I don't seem to have the new look on Insights like you do. Do I have to select to opt in to use the new version?

26:52 I also don't have the same view as you showed, and I signed up for early access. My view is very simple with not too much to click on.

What happened to your cleaning crew?
lol I'd try to dump this thing now before the housing market implodes. Probably too late.
