I found a large salad container full of stamps at a local antique store for $7. I think I’m set for life! It’s fun to just go through them from time to time. Thanks for the ideas!
Ceri, I 'm almost 82, a card maker, as well as other hand hobbies...sewing, embroidery, cross stitch, jigsaw puzzles, board games, etc. For some reason after watching several of your videos, I've decided that I'd like to do collage art....not for journaling, but perhaps to just do small projects like bookmarks for my literary friends, perhaps for a small gift; or maybe make 3x 5 recipe cards since they seem to be scarcer than hen's teeth (almost all are 4 X 6 now). Love this idea of "altering" postage stamps like you did in this tutorial, but I really hesitate buying MORE craft supplies than I already have. My "word" for this year is "simplify", use up what I have, and God knows I have a TON of paper 😉 Sooooo, I 'm going to try altering postage stamps, minus using paints, which I would have to buy. But you have given me GREAT tips with your teachings, and I want to thank you for that! I'm still in the process of collecting images, etc, so my first project may not get done for awhile; but you have definitely "sparked" an interest in me for another hobby 🤗❤️🙏
@judyharmon4586 Hi, Judy! It`s the same with me. Ceri inspired me to do small collage art. I have no intention of buying any more new stuff. I love paper, and I`m almost drowning in various kinds of it. It`s nice being an artist and/or a crafter, but sometimes it`s almost like a curse. Take care, and happy crafting.💛🧡❤
A charity shop near to me sell used stamps in small packets already sorted into same subjects. Great to watch you Ceri, not sure I would have your patience.
Ceri, you mind is always working to give us fabulous ideas. This is so creative, I will certainly making some after the video. Thank you for sharing, :)
Thank you, Ceri! This video was so much fun.❤ I have had some laaarge "ugly" stamps for more than 30 years, and I just haven`t had the heart to throw them away. Your "face-lift" technique will do the trick and finally solve my years-long "problem". (Yeah!!!)🤓 That`s something I really haven`t thought about.
These ideas are brilliant, thank you! Makes me look at my supplies with new eyes....again. You've opened my eyes to new, very creative ideas on many occasions, this is another, WOWEE!!!!
I love this video. I find I like making my own ephemera - or using things that I already have. It has a less "manufactured" look to it. Great ideas! Thank you!
I've never even thought of doing that. Ingenious. Maybe I'll have a go because my fat fingers will probably shake too much, but I will try using my new tweezers. Thanks for sharing Ceri😃
I check the book shelves in my thrift store for books with small photos of birds, flowers etc. and have found several. Yesterday 3 for $2.00 . I'm currently fussy cutting 4x6 photos I took of my own watercolor paintings and adding them to tags for journaling. I'm looking for a package of cling stamps that say "Journal " in a variety of sizes and scripts. Have a fantastic week all! Debra L Pate Art.
Lovely stamps. I’m a tool (and technique junkie), so I’m looking forward to your stamp die video. I am very impressed, though, that you create techniques for those who may not have access to pricier tools/products.
I enjoyed your video that much. That I am going to work my way through your back catalogue…as I was a Member of the Royal Philatelic Society I have so many stamps in my life, many of which are not ‘special’ and have found there way into my crafting… even standard 1st Class stamps have been used to make a card, with the inside saying ‘everything about you is First Class. It was very well received. I am glad I have found your channel. Thank you for your crafting contribution.
Ceri!!! I love that first thing you did with putting an image from a book over the stamp, then you stamped on fake canceling marks! Very clever! Now I know what to do with all those stamps that have just been sitting in "the box".
Great idea. . . these turned out so cute. And thank you so much for the zoom in parts. It makes it SO much easier to see what is happening on the art desk!
What a brilliant idea! I have a Cricut and lots of stamp shapes. I create stamps using AI software then I can cut them out on my Cricut. I also have stamp paper punches. I love making these fiddly little bits of things. Thanks for your great ideas!
Oh Ceri, you are brilliant!! I would've never thought of either of these ideas! I have a lot of stamps that I won't be using for one reason or another but, of course, I held to them cause "one never knows!" I'm glad I kept them as these look like they are fun to make.🙂 Thank you for sharing!! ❤
Brillant idea, Ceri! I was just having a clean out and almost threw away some stamps because of the images and now I know how I can jazz them up! Thank you so much for sharing. 🥰
Great idea Ceri, i have lots of stamps as my husband was a collecter. All the duplicate ones he put in envelopes so theres lots for me to go through!!!
Good afternoon dear Ceri, I love this idea! Such a fantastic way to take unwanted stamps and make them into prettiness to use! Great idea with the paint and stamping. Another project in my ideas book , thanks Ceri. I do have a ton of stamps, and now new ways to use them 😃 thank you so much for all you do and all the inspiration you give. Take care, hugs and blessings 🦋💙🙏
I love the idea of remaking stamps, so pretty! I have been making my own using a dress pattern tracing wheel. It works quite well for the getting a perforated edge. Recently I have been doing that edge on my cricut, it is a little large for me. Honestly, the tracing wheel is good, but reusing something I already have is best.
Been meaning to comment on your newer logo. Love it. It is really so Ceri. Wednesday will be my fix the stamps day in my studio. Ok back kitchen counter.
Aah ..this is a great idea and I like this much more than trying to fiddly cut pretend stamps edges with those annoying scissors. Very cool my dear xxxxx
This is a cool project. I saw on a comment somewhere that they bought a pair of dog shears at the dollar store and they said it was perfect for the edge to make it look like a stamp. So when I was there I got a pair. It really looks like the edge of a stamp. I was so surprised. So for a 1.25 I can make stamps. They work and look better than any other scissors that I’ve bought. Hopefully you can find a pair where you live. I don’t think you have a dollar tree but maybe something similar. Thank you for your time and videos.🌴

Great ideas Ceri! I never would’ve thought about painting them first! Thanks for sharing!
Had no idea how creative they’re adorable. Will definitely explore this new ephemera
Thanks for showing how to reinvent the stamps.Great tutorial!
PS I just spent the afternoon making stamps ... so fun! And as you said ... the edges are not a problem doing it this way. 🙂 Thanks again!!
Wonderful!
It gave me joy to hear I am not alone in not being able to cut a straight line. I can't do it to save my soul!
Great way to use the stamps you're not fond of. Thanks for sharing 😊
That is an amazing idea. I have all the stamps I collected as a child and from my working days. I have lots that would benefit from this technique.
Ooooh I’m glad I found this video because I just bought a lot of 300 stamps and I’m sure there will be some I want to revamp. Thanks Ceri!
love love love this idea I have a whole box of ho hum stamps to try this with. TFS

This is so cool. I just tossed stamps that I thought I wouldn’t use. I’m going to go digging in the trash and pull them out. Wonderful idea!
Have fun Betsy.
What a great idea for stamps you might never use and a fun project as well. Thanks for the clever ideas. ❤❤❤
Great tutorial! Fun ideas! I do like making faux stamps! Interesting to make faux stamps from actual stamps! Thanks for sharing. 😃❤️
Thank you for these useful and fun ideas.
I really like this idea. I’ll be looking for old stamps now! Thanks for sharing!
I need to check both my books and stamps with this project in mind. Thanks
Fantastic idea! Stamp sort out this evening ❤
You have given me the courage to split all my stamps up, too. What a game changer. I love your stamps, very creative.

Great idea, Ceri. I never thought of changing the stamps like that.
TFS♥️

Debra I’m not sure I’ve seen that sort of stamp, but if I see one I’ll share it in a future video.
Love these! So many possibilities

I have an envelope of ugly stamps. Who knew I could make my own. Thanks so much!! Tina, Al's wife (near Chicago)
Ceri: a very clever idea. You can really create individual theme stamps for your collage pages. Carol from California
Yes you can especially if you’re working with a colour theme.
Great idea Ceri❤ I remember the times of posta/ stamps collectors, we had special albums to put them and all.
Yup I had one.
Loved this

I love postage stamps. I use hem all on anything and everything
That was super!🎉

Sounds great
This is one of my favorite videos! ❤ That was so enjoyable
Thank you
Thank you
Brilliant!
Very clever💜🐞
Post zegels genoeg hier. Mijn man spaart ze. En heeft veel over die ik gebruik om te knutselen. Dit nog niet eerder gedaan. Bedankt voor het idee 💡👍😊

Thank you Tabatha I’ll have to look into that and if I find a pair I’ll share that in a future video if you don’t mind.
Another fun idea ❤
Thank you! 🤗
Fun to watch you. Thanks.
Great tutorial!!
I love this idea! So pretty! ❤ from TX
