  • The halogen vs HID comparison was shot during the day in a lit parking structure. I should have done the comparison outside at night because I can tell the lights are a LOT brighter than it was before.

    Thank you for the video man. I have a 2012 prius C and I wasn't sure how HID kits installed in these cars being that there isn't a battery in the engine bay. So this is much appreciated and I feel more comfortable getting a kit now

    Hey buddy great video thank you very much, I have to compliment you on a great installation job very neat clean and tidy,I am thinking seriously on doing an HID on my car 2008 Toyota solara SLE coupe with projectors that have h 11 halogen bulbs,I have looked at so many HID kits on the web and videos and this one seems to be just what I'm looking for a very bright white crisp light, your car looks amazing and thank you for sharing enjoy your new lights 👍👍👌

    Good video! I also have Kensun HID 6000k on my 2011 Prius Gen 3. I really like them. Although they seem to reach the end of the visible light spectrum the 6000k temperature really makes the reflective road signs and road makers light up as if someone plugged them in, which they did not! I just took a 500 mile trip one way driving at night and saw may reflective items I never noticed before. Some roads looked like they had runway lights for landing. VERY NICE INDEED !!!Again, Great video !!

      Did you installed a relay harness on your 2011 Prius Gen 3?

    It would have been nice if you went into more detail about how to orient the replacement bulb when seating it in the housing

    great video, i'm assuming it doesn't matter what year of the prius c you have, these lights will install the same either way?

      I would guess that also but I would double check on Kensun’s website that should tell you the compatibility.

    How has this worked out for you in the long term? I'm afraid of getting a kit and I have HID flickering or shutting down issues due to the start / stop system.

      I’ve definitely heard of this problem. I got lucky and never had any issues.

    I have a 2012 as well and the lights are dim. I was going to do this years ago but was told by the guy at autozone that they would run hot and possibly melt the housing. Have you have Any issues ? Thanks for the video!

      I'm positive I got the 55 watt and I've heard of the melting problem but not everyone is having that issue.

    just curious . so you would have to buy 2 kits to do high and low beams i wanted or can only do low beams with these kits

      +-IDAHOs_UnKnowN- I think so. I'm in the hospital right now so I can't check but once I get discharged, I will check for you

      Depends on the car, some cars have high and low beam on the same bulb but I think most are separate which means you would need 2 kits.

    • @Parademarch
      @Parademarch  6 років тому

      I just looked it up. The kits are separate for the Prius C 2012. It might be different between kits. The best way to check is when searching for "Prius C HID Kit" I include the year of the vehicle and if it lists High beam and Low beam separately, then you need to decide if you want both or just the low beam.

      No problems with it still. Haha. I guess I’m one of the lucky ones. Can you still buy the same bulbs today?

    I'm confused between 5k vs 6k? And wanted to ask you if 55w are annoying for opposite drivers?

    • @Parademarch
      @Parademarch  7 років тому +1

      +nawar arabo I believe 5k looks more true white and 6k has more hints of blue. You can try to google "hid color chart" and decide for yourself. As far as drivers on the other side, that has to do with adjusting the headlight leveling. Depending on your car, it might help to get projectors.
