Your story made you homesick for those days of the past.
I love that you wear beautiful dresses and such when cooking, so did my grandma. She said I love cooking, dresses and high heels! They all go together, your channel is so wonderful
I have to try this!!
I want to visit upon My. Ararat 😊
I am Armenian and I wish my mom would let me cook with her
Btw don't put ketchup!
Delicieux 😘😘
Carrot leaves have more vitamins and nutrition than carrots and we used to call it GAZRUK witch is wild carrots. Arrugula is vercion of wild mustard leaves . I'm a foragger and we used to forrage all the herbs . Thank you Heghine jan
Please list the ingredients
I wish I can talk to you personally cause I want to move to Amernia

As someone who used to put ketchup on everything as a kid, I'm absolutely gonna try this with ketchup. Girl, you know what's up.
I always look forward to your new recipes.. I am a filipina but married to an English man.. He loves eating healthy foods.. Thank you for your show.. can't wait to try this jingalov hac 😋❤
Love your phrase '...nothing will happen' It is so relaxed and so true. Something a truly experienced and confident cook would know - just eyeball it, your previous experience will guide you.
I know Im asking randomly but does anybody know of a method to log back into an instagram account??
I was stupid forgot the account password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me
@Scott Hank instablaster =)
Yummm, dough very similar to tortillas, but with herbal stuffing. Have to try this
Я родилась в городе Ташкенте я карабахская армянка я постоянно делаю жангялловхатц иуду ещё идёт шявель и dandelion очень вкусно. Жалко что в лос Анджелесе нету чурчюрок
Do you know the English name of the last herb you mentioned ? Choe chorus
Dear Heghineh I love your cooking stile. You have a nice family. We are watching you from England. But my background is Syrian...
I love the stories you tell, about cooking with your mother and grand mother.
Great, now i'm craving jingalov hac... :( :D too bad indeed that some of the greens we can't find in North America... although, we do have tchrtchrok in Canada ^_^ another one of "must-haves" :)

Wonderful video. Makes me want to try and make this brand-new (for me) dish! One thing I wish had been included was to give the total weight of all the greens and herbs. It's clear that this recipe can handle some variation. But it would be good to know, for this amount of dough, to buy (for example), 3 lbs of fillings, or 2 lbs of fillings, or 5 lbs of fillings...or whatever the approx amount is supposed to be.
Great video! We've never had them before but we're going to try them at the Zhengyalov Hatz bakery in Glendale. If we love them we'll try making them ourselves using your recipe! Thank you!
i love it, i was in armenia and artsakh and was eating this all the time
It is called shives ( the young garlic)
You're gorgeous alltogether! Could you please help me with the vegetable chide???? It looks like a beetroot leaf to me, still I'd love to find the exact vegetable! Thank you so much...
Thank you for this delightful video. May I ask: Is it possible to make the dough by hand?

I have been thinking of the name of this bread & I come to understand the word Jingal which in Farsi means անտառ=wood, which make sense too, as all these green herbs make you think of wood=անտառ,......I am happy to have found the meaning of this bread (y)

And don’t worry about talking too much. Thats the best part of your videos. Your stories and point of views
this was great - it will get a lot of new views because the nytimes has a jingalov hats recipe
It was very tasty! My dough was too wet. So I had to add 2 more cups flour.
Looks so good, I will definitely try... You're such a great mom...
We have such a bread in Algeria, with some different herbs from the forest... Love u from Algeria

Prosperity comes from the sweat of the brow/labor, flavor and fine dining the same. The tribe of yours no doubt dirties some dishes and whole family should share chores. I as a young man couldn't get away from farm fast enough and now older l wish I could go back now it's not funny.

Looks soooo delicious! You are so charismatic, Hegineh! Thank you for sharing your ideas!
Dear Heghineh I love your show I like it how you cooking with your daughter she is so cute. And I have The same problem pronouncing somethings and my kids will correct me by the way I grow up in Poland and your family is like my family we always talk to the kids about the Country where we grown up .Gretings from Australia.
Just ran into this video, and it warms my heart: it reminds me of the sweet and hospitable family I used to work with. I moved away from Glendale and I dream about this bread from time to time. I used to go the DMV get my wait number and immediately walk across the street to eat Jingalov and Lahmajoun.
You should take family to Armenia for simple loving visit and make sure to add the bling they are used fun for them there, they do not understand how it was when we were younger for spoil we do?! I said it to my father like this. We should want a better life for our children than we have had for ourselves. One more thing, home is home lovely ladies!

Sweet Lilit thank you for recommending ketchup, my American husband enjoyed it. He’s never eaten herbs, so this was the only way I got him to eat Jingalov hats. Who would have thought that was the secret. Of course for myself I simply added a small slice of butter and even dash of lemon and it was perfect. Thank you Heghineh!!! I watched all three of your videos and picked up on things here and there and can’t believe how good it came out.
I made it on a round cast iron skillet and divided the dough into smaller rolls in order to roll it out very thin and fit in the skillet. Thank you for giving me the confidence to try it myself :) Still can’t believe how well it turned out. Will be making it for my grandma next week. You’re cooking show is my top favorite to watch (Heghineh, David Chang, Samin Nosrat, Chefs Table). You’re way up there ;)
I love watching you cook and talk about your home traditions ❤️. Made Manti yesterday - huge success!! ☺️ - and will make the lahmajoun (forgot the name) today. This one will be tomorrow’s dinner 😍. Thank you so much for sharing your life with us. You emanate so much beauty and kindness 🙏🏻♥️....
Some food vloggers on occasion go back to their home countries, and vlog about the native food and culture over there. Hearing about opening the Jingalov Hats season in Armenia made me nostalgic (even though I am not Armenian) because I identify with such food customs where all the women come together to make elaborate dishes in my culture as well. Don't know if you guys ever visit Armenia, but would really LOVE to see you on a few food assignments from Armenia...
Ok...nope..no..I cant deal with the kids interrupting. I lasted 30 seconds.
dear Heghineh that herb is called Chives in English. no garlic !!!!
Actually chives and young garlic greens are different. The chives are onion-flavoured, and the garlic greens are strongly garlic-flavoured. Some types of chives look like the garlic greens (flat) but they are not the same.
Oh, the chives that we kniw in Europe are not flat, round like a thin tube, but a flat one and thin like you had we don't see that around....Unless you meant leek which is again much wider....any how thank for some clarifications...
Superb..!
I will probably eat it with butter and mint yoghurt chutney for some spice.
Heghineh jan, I never tried zjingyalov hac , but you gave me an Idea to make this on easter 🐣 and finally I can make and try thank you 😊 👍👍💋💋

H-Jan & L-Jan, I cannot wait to make this! I think I was Armenian in a past life. I love to make everything you make. When are you coming out with a cookbook?!!!
Those look soooooo good! I had never heard of this because I’m from Lebanon but I definitely want to try this!!!
Since your previous video about these breads I have been making them, really delicous!! They're also a succes with my family, thank you! By the way you are very, very right about the butter, nothing beats that, although I admit I put some sweet chili sauce on them sometimes ;)
❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
Thank you Dear Heghine.it was very delicouos and of course ARMENIAN
Have to try this recipe asap, it's also great for Lent!!! Thank you! Blessings to you and your family.

Hi ! I haven’t commented in awhile. But I have a question. I noticed you made an X in the dough with the side of your hand after kneading it . Why was that?
maylien maybe she’s blessing it?
Yeah its some kind of tradition
She's actually making a cross thanking God for our bread. Bread to us is something holy, specially made from scratch
Yes, blessing the dough and thanking 🙏🏻❤️
Thanks everyone for your answers.
It looks so delicious Heghineh you in your daughter is a amazing cookers get to make that

My mom uses stems of anise instead of kizminduk
I heard walnuts and currants or barberries Can be used.
Your teaching style is very natural and a pure joy to watch. You made it fun and exciting and answered all the questions we had---can you use different veggies? can it be frozen? butter or oil? Will watch more!
Thank you!
This is made with herbs only and preferably with vegetable oil.
Yes you can freeze ready breads for weeks.
Daughter is you made over as a note of wisdom 😇

You need to research karabakhs cuisine.
This looks yummy but what could you substitute for young garlic green, where I live it’s not available. Also could you put goat cheese in the before grilling that seems like it would be so good. Love your show.
Just leave it out :)
It’ll still taste great!
Too cute talking about the catsup!
