I am pretty stubborn, and rarely sell players low. Like I should sell Kyle Pitts low now, been on my team for years, but I just can't do it. I keep imagining him changing teams and taking off somewhere outside ATL. I'm more likely to buy low, and sell high. Like I sold Lamb last off-season for Puka + a 25 1st (1.06 in SF). I will be looking to move my Chase shares this off-season.
My biggest mistake this year was trusting Kyle Pitts so much I skipped Brock Bowers and Picked Rome Odunze....yup I know could be worse atleast I didnt pick Brooks over them both
@@pat2sick he's been in the league 3 years, I'm not saying he's awful just that he's likely a WR2 as opposed to a WR1 like many of us thought he would be.
I sold JSN before his breakout game partly because Shane and other reputable experts didn’t like him. All good though, thanks for correcting course and I will buy him back this offseason haha
If you liked a rookie this past year, chances are you were "right". All of them have been pretty solid aside from Worthy. But 2nd or 3rd year players is where it's tough. I was with you on JSN and even Drake London. I was a Kyle Pitts believer this year too.
Was wrong on Stroud and Arich who did not light it up light I thought they would in their second years. Was also wrong in not buying into a lot of the RB hype pre-season.
@@ShaneIsTheWorst tbh my one was in 0.5 ppr and looking at points per game and the war JSN is in a very flat tier. So probably just go buy vet wr next year that’s a difference maker or smash rb with that pick.
@@ShaneIsTheWorst That was my initial thought. Amari could provide solid WR2 numbers and a bank a 1st. Sucks Amari got hurt and then JSN has been lighting it up
Gonna start asking this to analysts now , not just you. Do you actually win FF? Could we see some receipts ? Lots of people analyzing numbers , who’s actually winning with what they are doing
1:40 there is definitely luck in this game but it has to be such a small percentage. The teams that are good in the NFL are normally good the following years. No different in fantasy. The managers that are good in your leagues are good the majority of years.
I love when people have conviction about players. That's you Shane, and I appreciate you for doing so. Even if all my Olave shares are crying at me. BTW: BlueSky is for betas. Don't be like them. You're a dog, Shane.
I’m gonna be that guy and tell you that if you watched JSN last year with Waldron + his college tape but decide to extract some random rookie stats dated back to 2015, then you just really don’t know what you’re watching on film. That’s the problem with this fantasy community, too much quantity of content leading to overreactions week by week and not enough actual deep dive into the player themselves. I bought him hand over fist in the offseason, im pretty convinced anyone who was “down” on him literally didn’t follow his collegiate career or how poor Waldron is as an OC. It’s not even a flex, buying him was common sense.
I mean the first 6 weeks of the season kind of validated Shane's feelings on him. But after week 6/week 7 Lockett was finally pushed aside and JSN's usage changed massively and long with that his production.
@@Konjaagain, “usage” is underselling the issue. The quality of routes schemed up for him relative to his strengths as a player were abysmal. Just watch the college tape and tell me JSN isn’t one of the best 15-20 yard middle of the field route runners you’ve ever seen. It was only a matter of time until someone with half a brain in that offense pieced the puzzle together. His breakout was inevitable. And hard disagree on him being justified. Week 2 was the glimpse, of what correct utilization was for him, they would’ve gotten him into this WR1 role at some point this season regardless of DK.

Sold low on Olave once he got the second concussion. Still trying to decide if I'm wrong on G Wilson...
@@macdaddy111sell pitts. Should have gitten rid of him weeks ago
Great show Shane, keep doing your thing bro
Appreciate you Shawn
0:33 it is very important to realize when you’re wrong. Situational awareness is one of the most important things in life.

I finally bought in on Pitts after like Week 8, and he's been ass since then.
I believe in olave and I have bo nix everywhere. I got him and drake maye 1.03 and 2.03 everywhere or 1.02. 2.02
That's the worst part for me with Nix I could have taken him over Worthy or back end / early 2nd dudes
I learned you gotta trust your gut and dont over think a pick
Sometimes like taking a test right
All this Olave slander but no mention about the qb play
I hear you but at some point you need to rise above, the good thing is I can still hedge with his acquisition cost depressed
@@ShaneIsTheWorsthe wasnt even given a chance to bounce back

18:33 lol I told you. Bo is the man lol. Hopefully he keeps it going after this bye.
Great episode, Shane
Loved your rookie redraft episode this week!

Saquon for a single first nightmares
Great show... hard to look at our mistakes even harder to pay child support and admit we were wrong out loud 😆
I’m going to guess JSN or Bo Nix. Just random guesses.
😫‼️
I traded JSN for Amari + late 25 1st. I guess it was the right process, just didnt work out this time.
I was similiar but for AD Mitchell week 1 😢
But at least you have a 1st too now

@lawrencebrauchart4219 yeah right now he looks a good WR2, which is good, just not elite

Thanks dude. Yeah, it's about knowing when you're wrong and adjusting.

Not the guys who extrapolate a decade worth of rookie stats to evaluate a player’s future, I can tell you that.
You should be asking! Ask us, ask them 100% 💯

Haha, still on both my man. Oh I'll still have strong ass convictions just need to know when to switch up
Wrong on Bucky Irving, right on Jsn, Sean Tucker,
JSN is 22. Bo nix is 24. Why refer to them as a kid?
Because I'm old
Still doesn’t make them a kid
@SlimThiccPanda okay, have a great day
I traded jsn for tank dell in like three leagues. I was sooo sure i was the genius…..
Not sure if you had a chance to watch last nights Trinity check in with Ray, Scott and I, Scott talked some Tank, there's still some hope.
@ thank you sir. I missed it. Will give it a listen
